This private and newly furnished 2-bed / 1-bath (827 sq. ft.) condominium is on the first floor of a quiet, safe 11 unit condo building in one of Tacoma’s best neighborhoods (North Slope). The condo building is surrounded by old growth trees, 100-year-old mansions, and nearby views of Commencement Bay, the condo is conveniently located within walking distance of groceries, restaurants and movie theaters.

The property is next door to the largest mansion in Tacoma. It is close to downtown, Old Town, the waterfront and the hip 6 Ave Commercial district, the universities, the hospital and Point Defiance Park. The building sits beside the William Rust mansion, one of the largest mansions in Tacoma and a few blocks south of the prestigious private Annie Write School.

The condo is substantially remodeled with a new fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, garburator, a Keurig coffee maker with K-pods & a drip coffee machine with coffee). The unit has a large balcony (lanai) overlooking tree lined Yakima Ave. It has a peek-a-boo view of Commencement Bay.

There is a new 40” smart TV with cable TV, Wi-Fi, High Speed Internet, en-suite laundry, an electric fireplace, and a massage chair. The condo has a large lanai accessible from the dining room and the second bedroom. There is a peek-a-boo view of the bay (ocean).

You will be staying in the entire 2 bedroom 1 bathroom condo. The condo building is built on a slope. There is one set of stairs to access the front door from the parking lot. There are no stairs in the condo.

The condo is a dedicated short term furnished executive rental.

The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a comfortable new mattress.

The second bedroom has a new double bed with a comfortable new mattress and a sliding door to a large balcony.

The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower and a washer dryer.

The living room has a new queen-sized sofa bed, and an electric fireplace.

The dining room has a table and chairs for 4, and a sliding glass door to the balcony.

The front door access is from the outside (the building has no interior hallways). Free onsite parking is available in front and behind the unit. It is recommended you use the front on site parking spaces for this unit.

There is plenty of closet storage. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap), a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, coffee K-pods and gourmet drip coffee are provided.

Wonderful Property

This property was just as pictured in the ad. The neighborhood was nice and the peek a boo view of the waterfront was very enjoyable. We really appreciated how well stocked the condo was. There was plenty of laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and coffee for our stay. It made traveling from the East Coast so much easier. We will definitely try to stay at this property again the next time we visit Tacoma.

Absolutely perfect!

Fantastic location, very roomy for my family. Love the electric fireplace to take the chill off on rainy days. Very safe and beautiful area. Attentive owner for whatever we needed, easy check in and check out. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Great stay at the Lanai as usual. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have stayed in one of Ron's places. All good, clean, well stocked, addressed a wifi issue quickly. Love the location to visit our son at UPS. My only request is to allow shorter stays and we would be back each and every visit!

Great place to stay.

We were in Tacoma for Parent's Day weekend at the University of Puget Sound.

Very convenient location for the school and the waterfront as well assay drives to coffee places and the Metropolitan Market - a good place to buy provisions or have a meal.

Comfortable mattresses, and a good place to go in the evening after the day's activities.

Enjoyed it very much.

Will definitely stay there again when we return.

This is a quiet condo building with mostly adult and senior condo owners. This condo is good for couples, families, friends traveling together. Parties, partying, loud music, noise will not be tolerated. This is a no smoking unit. Check in time is 4 pm. Check out times is 11 am.

NOTE RE CLEANING COSTS:
The $70 I charge for cleaning is what it costs me to pay a cleaner for 2 hours. 90% of guest’s checkout cleaning is covered in the 2 hour fee. But occasionally a guest is abnormally messy. Consequently, we have instituted a policy where we will deduct from your $200 deposit any additional cleaning required, at the rate of $35 per hour, to return the condo to its pre-rented condition.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
