Overview

About the property

2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Ocean View, Jaccuzi tub, Sleeps 6

This modern ocean view 2-bed / 2-bath (920 square feet) condo is on a tree-lined street in one of Tacoma's best neighborhoods (North Slope). It is on the middle floor (no stairs) of a quiet, safe, 11 unit building. The property is next door to The William Ross Rust Mansion, one of the largest mansions in Tacoma. This historic neighborhood is filled with stately 100-year-old houses, and views of Commencement Bay. Walk to grocery, restaurants, cafes, movies.

The condo is minutes to downtown, Old Town, the Ruston Way waterfront, the hip 6 Ave. Commercial district, UPS, UW, the hospital and Point Defiance Park, Zoo, Aquarium, and is a few blocks south of the prestigious private Annie Write School.

The condo is substantially remodeled with a new fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, garburator, Keurig coffee maker with gourmet coffee, a drip coffee maker); two new bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi bathtub/shower and one with a shower. The unit has a balcony overlooking tree lined Yakima Ave. and a good view of the bay (ocean).

There is a new smart TV with cable, WiFi, High Speed Internet, and en-suite laundry.

This condo is a dedicated short term furnished executive rental.

The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a comfortable mattress, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.

The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a comfortable mattress, and has a hidden washer dryer.

The living room has a sofa and chair, and a sliding glass door to the balcony.

The dining room has a table and chairs for 4.

The front door access is from the outside (the building has no interior hallways or elevator). Free onsite parking is available in front and behind the unit. I recommend you use the rear parking for this unit, as no stairs are required for access from the rear parking.

There is plenty of closet storage. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap), a hair dryer, iron, ironing board and coffee are provided.

The bus stop is in front of building on Yakima Ave.

Within two minutes by car (or a 15 walk) you are at the best Tacoma has to offer: restaurants, coffee shops, stores, grocery store, the Ruston Way waterfront walking path, the Tacoma Little Theater, downtown, the convention center, hospital, and the Movie Theaters.

Slightly further and you are the Museums of Glass, the Tacoma Art Museum, the Washington State History Museum, the universities (UPS & UW), the Rialto and Pantages Theaters, and Point Defiance Park, Zoo and Aquarium.

Seattle is 40 minuets north on 1-5. Portland is 2.5 hours south. Mt Rainier National Park is 2 hours away. Olympia National Park is 2.5 hour drive.

Nice clean condo. Great view and location. Sitting on the balcony drinking my tea was very relaxing, and the view was so beautiful. My family of 5 stayed and the kids felt the fold away mattresses were awesome. If we return to Tacoma again we would certainly rent from Ron again.

You'll want to stay here !!!

This beautiful condo ... exceptionally well equipped ... comfortable and clean ... met my every expectation and then some. The deck afforded a peaceful view of Commencement Bay, and caught every breeze. Even though the unit is not air-conditioned .. it remained very comfortable .. shade and an abundance of fans.

We had ample kitchen equipment to prepare our contribution to family get-togethers. We made a rather big dent in their Starbucks k-cups ... perfect to pair with that gorgeous view. The beds were comfy and the bedding was perfect.

The owner was attentive and responded to all inquiries promptly. We were close to all the amazing restaurants on Ruston Way and the award winning Pt Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.

Highly recommended !!! (PS we are VRBO owners as well ... and as such, were especially appreciative)

Very clean, easy check-in/out, lovely neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

We just spent a few days at this property in Tacoma and loved it. Our flight into town was delayed and we didn't arrive to the unit until late at night, and we had no problems at all getting in. When we arrived, we saw that the owners had stocked up on the coffee, that there were creamers in the refrigerator, plenty of toilet paper, shampoo and conditioner, paper towels, etc, and that the condo was very well stocked. The unit also was immaculate.

Both of the beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were lovely.

When we woke up the next morning, we were treated to a view of the bay, and it was extremely pleasant to sit outside and enjoy our morning coffee.

The neighborhood itself is quiet, peaceful, and charming. We loved driving around and looking at all of the century-old homes that have been beautifully maintained. I had no idea that Tacoma was so historic and so lovely!

The owner was very responsive to every communication, and even sent us a list of recommended restaurants.

If you're considering this listing, take the plunge. If we ever find ourselves back in Tacoma, we would definitely stay here again!

Clean, comfortable, great view and location!

  • 5 of 5

The condo was great! The information, recommendations, and hospitality from Ron leading up the stay were excellent. Arrived and felt at home immediately.

Condo was immaculately cleaned and had all the necessities. Great place for two couples to have plenty their own rooms and showers but also a good living space to hang out in. The deck and view from the deck were also incredible!

The apartment complex is in a good location; very short drive/ride to the 6th Street area of Tacoma or about a 20 minute walk if the weather is good. Not far at all from downtown either! The area around the apartment complex is very nice as well, everyone we passed while walking around were super friendly.

Will definitely use again for a trip to Tacoma!
