A wonderful getaway just a mile up Wildernest Road, with a 15-20 minute drive to Keystone, 15-20 minutes to Copper Mountain, 30 minutes to Breckenridge and 30 minutes to Arapahoe Basin.
This "no smoking, no pets" condo has a Master bedroom with attached 3/4 bath and a second bedroom with a shared full bathroom. Each bedroom has two Twin XL beds which can tied together with a "Create-a-King" set to make King beds if desired, which makes it great for families, two couples, or even a group of guys.
The living room has a queen sleeper sofa, gas-burning fireplace, 40" HDTV with cable, Blu-ray player, Roku 3, two footstools, two lounging chairs, and lots of board games.
There is shared WiFi with typical download speeds of 15 mbps per device and free Netflix.
The kitchen is fully stocked, with free Folgers coffee, creamer, condiments and spices included.
The dining room seats four at the table and three at the bar-height counter. There is an empty utility closet to stow your ski gear and a bench in the entry way to remove/put on your boots.
Full disclosure: 1.) There is NO clubhouse available and there is NO hot tub or pool. 2.) Check-in is 4 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m., but I am typically pretty flexible about this. 3.) In the winter, there is a knocking noise coming from a radiant heat pipe above the kitchen ceiling. 4.) My new upstairs neighbor is a "heavy walker" but luckily lives out-of-state and I have only heard him once. 5.) There is a laundry room that requires a short walk outside and costs $2.75 to wash and dry per load. I supply detergent and quarters. 6.) Other owners in Wildernest might claim that the free Summit Stage bus takes you to every resort, but they fail to mention that the Wildernest route was reduced to once every hour in 2014 and the multiple connections needed to get to a resort. I highly recommend a car.
