One of the best stay and house in South Lake Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

First of all thank you from all of us to the owner for allowing us to stay extra day because of the poor road conditions and heavy storm. Everybody in our trip loved the house. One of the best house we have stayed in Tahoe. This definitely is one of our top house when we go back to South Lake Tahoe. So many beds and kids were so happy with all the games. Also liked how close it was to Sierra Tahoe and Heavenly. I will also recommend this house to my friends.

Would definitely give 5 star to this house

Perfect house!

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect. We had my brothers bachelor party with 14 guys. Everyone had their own bed to sleep in, great parking in garage and in driveway, enough towels for an army, shuffle board, pool table, ping pong, fooseball. It had multiple tv's but we didn't even turn them on. BBQ was perfect, just be careful of the bears... no joke. About a $20 Uber to casinos, about $150 Uber to airport. We had an awesome time and definitely be staying at these properties again.

Great roomy house perfect for 12 people.

  • 5 of 5

I had a party of 11 come up for some skiing/snowboarding and the traditional cabin party. This house is located 15-20 minute (6-6.5 miles) drive from Heavenly (depending on CA or NV side). Safeway and Raley's next to Heavenly. It was a little tricky finding this house way in the back of the small streets, but all snow was removed from the roads getting to the house.

Wireless signal for AT&T and T-mobile were at 2 bars on average so receiving and sending calls were manageable. The wireless in the house was not the most robust (occasional packet-loss/dropping signal and slightly slow), but hey its free.

This house was nicely laid out, most of the lounging and gaming area were positioned at the front of the house where everyone can gather and socialize. The bedrooms are located in the back half of the house with plenty of sleeping space for everyone. 2 bathrooms are located in middle of the house accessible for everyone's use and a master bedroom located at the far back of the house with its own private bathroom for "that couple." Lots of hot water for showering.

This house can accommodate 4 cars easy (2 garage, 2 in driveway) No street parking when I was there (too much snow). The washer and dryer (nestled between the garage and kitchen) did their job well, and the kitchen was nicely stocked with plenty of plates, bowls, utensils, baking trays, frying pans, coffee maker and even a bread maker for the whole gang. The kitchen knives are not the sharpest, so if you cook and like sharp knives that cut: Bring your own. The BBQ grill (gas) and hot tub are located just outside the living room side door. BBQ grill works perfectly and had gas in it upon arrival, and the hot tub is set at a nice 102F.

A few issues:

1. The lighting in the house is a bit weird, finding the switch was the first part, but some of the light fixtures don't have light bulbs/working bulbs. And the light for the outdoor BBQ/hot tub was so weak, it was pretty much non-existent.

2. Outdoor noise - seriously at 10pm, the neighbor on the side of the hot tub will make it known there is a noise curfew. He isn't too rude, but laughter and talking voices are considered too loud to him. Point is: use the hot tub early and keep the party inside afterwards.

3. There is wild life and not so wild life roaming the area. There was a pitbull stray that was able to hop the fence (due to 4-5 feet of snow against the fence), he loved the meat I was BBQing

Overall comfortable cozy stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the nice review! Poor doggie! I don't know of any pitbulls that live in that neighborhood, or anywhere in Tahoe for that matter. Mostly huskies that can bare the cold. For future renters, honestly if.a dog is walking around in the snow please call the spca. Sometimes renters from this house or others, bring dogs and they get lost, (the spca in Tahoe is packed with lost dogs) ) there are coyotes and bears for real. Also regarding noice, we try to let everyone know ahead of time the City of So Lake Tahoe is cracking down hard on noise., which is why we stress this in the rental agreement, emails, and on the website. They are issuing price-y tickets to renters for noise after 10pm because its a neighborhood. For future renters, there is absolutely no street parking in Tahoe in the winter. If you need help finding the house, please call, or map it, its two blocks off the main highway. I will check out and replace non-sharp knives. Those are important! I'm sorry we missed the lighbulbs, we try to catch that but sometimes we don't and sometimes they go out while people are there, which is why ,we keep a big box of LED lightbulbs in the laundry room. Thank you for the feedback, it is very helpful!

Great cabin for family stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family got together in the snow for a great trip. This cabin was perfect for our stay and had everything needed to keep all of us (adults - young kids) entertained. Property was clean and is in a great location. It would also be a great stay in the summer time! The owner was extremely nice and responsive to any questions.

Super fun house!

  • 5 of 5

Had an adult Bachelor Party (over 40 crowd) and the house worked out perfect. Everyone thanked me for getting such a cool pad. Taught some of the guys how to officially play shuffleboard and they were hooked!

(Nice touch by the owner having the official game rules printed out & posted by each game).

I think we managed to play every game available, even horseshoes and badminton in the back yard.

No little hotel style shampoo and soaps, so make sure to bring your own. Minor detail.

No hot water when we got there. Noticed the hot water heater was on low, so we turned up and boom.. All good. (We turned it back to low on checkout day).

House is cozy and clean. Beds everywhere. All the basics supplied, dishes, coffee maker, working bbque.

Couple of guys mentioned it would be perfect place to bring the family cause of all the in house entertainment for the kids.

Hope to be back soon!
