The property is actually nicer than the pictures show. Everything was wonderful. We were there during an unusual heat wave. There is no A/C which isn’t usually an issue in SD. The owners accommodated the situation well by adding a portable A/C unit. We so appreciated it!! Happy to recommend this property.

This is the cutest property! More than accommodating. A short walk down to La Jolla point and several neighborhood restaurants. Easy access to get you where you want to go in the area. Very charming property. We will book again the next time we're in the area.

Location, location, location! Cute home and super easy in and out. I would suggest sofa covers for the couch and a smaller coffee table (perhaps round) to make the living room feel less crowded. Overall, very happy with the stay.

Check in was easy. It was very conveniently located. The bedroom comforters had some stains on them and the bathroom wasn’t as clean as it could be but all in all it was a great stay. Thank you!

Family vacation

We had a great vacation. Cottage is in a great location. Walking distance to beach, restaurants and shopping. Well stocked with beach chairs, towels, sand towels etc…

Served us well as a base for wedding venue in La Jolla. It is an old house with characteristics of an old house that comes with it. Charming. There is traffic noise due to the busy street nearby . Mainly on weekends.

Fantastic stay

We stayed in this lovely house to attend a nearby wedding in La Jolla. The space was wonderful the kitchen well-equipped, and the locations could not be beat.

Very roomy 4 bedroom home, living room and dining room were awesome, kitchen was well equipped. We loved the outdoor patio. Plenty of parking in driveway for 2 cars, street parking also available.

The best layout! Beautiful decor!

This cottage was so lovely and comfortable! It was decorated just beautifully and It had everything we needed for our visit in La Jolla for a family wedding. I would highly recommend staying here and I hope to go back!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Blue Door House. We were able to walk around La Jolla without worrying about driving and parking. The house was spacious and clean.

Charming house in great location

This is a lovely 1920s home within walking distance to loads of shops and restaurants. The layout was perfect for our family. The furniture and beds were comfortable. I would definitely rent again

Beautiful Home and Location

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Blue Door Cottage! The property is very charming and welcoming and the location is excellent-walking distance to everything. The owners were easy to communicate with, and they even left us a welcome bottle of wine! We had a wonderful time!

This house was just as charming in person as it is in the pictures!

We could not have chosen a more perfect house to stay in! The location is walking distance to everything and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The two patios were perfect to enjoy morning coffee. I plan on making this an annual trip with my girlfriends!

Lovely Home with Everything You Need

This is a great family house with everything you need for adults and kids. Short walk to downtown and La Jolla Shores. Go to the Cheese Shop for lunch!

Walkable to village center

Stayed three nights with our adult children. Enjoyed the coastal walk and restaurants. The room fans came in handy since it was unusually humid for this area! Cottage is charming and spacious.

Lovely property walking distance to downtown La Jolla.

My sons and their small children stayed here for a weekend in September. It's a beautiful, clean home in a perfect location. You can easily walk all over downtown La Jolla. You will enjoy your stay here. Mariola was friendly, helpful...and funny. We would rent here again.
