About Karen Gelowitz
We are your hosts, Karen & Paul. Paul is a recently retired electrician and I work in the real estate industry. Paul has owned the condo for 15 years and I have recently become part owner. Now that Paul has retired, he has lots of time on his hands, so we decided what a perfect way for him to keep busy was to start the vacation rental. I work in administration/accounting at my office, so I am better dealing with all the paperwork that comes with being an owner, while Paul handles all the other chores. We are new to the vacation rental business so its a learning curve for us, and hopefully we are on the right path to ensure all our clients are comfortable staying in our suite and have a great experience visiting Victoria.

Why Karen Gelowitz chose Downtown
Paul bought this property before it was built. He saw an opportunity to buy a waterfront condo in downtown Victoria, and jumped at it. He purchased the condo with his cousin from Port Angeles and initially they rented it out as a nightly rental but it was more then they could handle, so they rented it out month to month. I came into the picture a few years ago, and his cousin decided he wanted to sell his portion of the condo, so this is where I stepped in. Best investment I have ever made. I work with people who have vacation rentals and after asking a lot of questions, we decided this is what we should do with the condo. A decision we don't regret.
What makes this Condo unique
The most unique part of this condo is the Roof top patio. A perfect spot to watch the sunset, or have a glass of wine and enjoy the view. Also watching the activity in the harbour from the living room with the floor to ceiling windows. The other thing is the secure underground parking. This is definitely a bonus for this property.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We couldn't have been more happy with the condo along with its location. This place is located far enough away from the tourist's beaten path to make it enjoyable. We will definitely be staying here again.
Great Stay in Victoria
We chose this condo because it had secure parking without a fee plus it has a washer & dryer which we needed after a week Long cruise. The unit has a Murphy bed & nice functional kitchen & bathroom. There is a rooftop terrace but we only used it once. It needs a high bistro table with bar stools in order to see out. Chairs presently there set too low. We enjoyed the close proximity to restaurants, inner harbor, Chinatown & water attractions. Would be happy to stay here again.
Beautiful weather in May
First time VRBO user and loved it. Great location (a little loud from the canoe club if you have the window open on weekends). Other than that perfect. Paul was on time/early for both check in and checkout and was very accomodating when we wanted to change our arrival time. Easy to walk to everything in downtown Victoria.
Loved the view and rooftop garden which essentially doubled the size of the flat. Easy walking distance to just about everything downtown. Quiet building, but some night noise from the Canoe across the street. Easily drowned out with a little white noise provided by the range hood fan. Washer dryer were an added bonus as you can pack less clothing for longer stays. Owners are friendly, accommodating and punctual. Very good communication.
Small but perfect
Good for any single person coming to Victoria who is okay with a smaller area. Easily accessible to downtown and area. I would recommend to any friend coming alone to Victoria for a few nights and wanted to be by the action!
Charming condo in great location
We loved the well located efficient condo. Great view. Walking distance to great restaurants.. water taxi down the block. The bar, restaurant across the street was fun with dancing and music on Thurs-Sat. We put our earplugs in and slept just fine. Paul was a very welcome host. We plan on returning in the future.
