Appalachian Retreat est une maison joliment décorée située au centre de la montagne de ski des Appalaches entre Boone et Blowing Rock!
Le niveau principal dispose d'un magnifique plan d'étage ouvert avec un salon avec une cheminée à bûches au gaz en pierre, un plafond aux poutres apparentes et un téléviseur Samsung SMART HDTV de 46 ", un coin repas et une cuisine entièrement équipée avec des comptoirs en granit. Vous trouverez également une suite parentale spacieuse avec lit King et une TV HD de 26 ", et une salle de bain privée avec une douche joliment carrelée. Sortez sur la terrasse couverte très confortablement meublée et profitez des images et des sons paisibles de la forêt, ou montrez vos talents de cuisinier sur le gril à gaz.

Le niveau inférieur contient un deuxième salon avec télévision HD 37 ", lecteur DVD et magnétoscope et une cheminée à gaz. Il y a aussi une deuxième terrasse avec un grand bain à remous, ainsi qu'une chambre avec lit queen et TV HD 24 ", une chambre avec lit Queen et TV HD 20", une table de baby-foot et un Nintendo GameCube (apportez vos propres jeux) , et une salle de bain complète avec baignoire à jets.

The home was great, just as described and very clean and comfy. SUPER close to App Ski Mtn and 10 mins to Blowing Rock and 10-15 to Boone super convenient!

Wonderful weekend with family and friends

This property was exactly as it was listed on VRBO. It was an incredible stay with everything we could’ve asked for. The hot tub was exceptional, the cleanliness of the property was great, Parking was a little tight for three vehicles but we made it work. We will definitely stay here again.

Great Weekend With Friends

We loved our time at the cabin for a girls weekend. Location is close to the outlets and downtown. Plus if you sit outside, you can hear the Tweetsie train whistle. Absolutely enjoyed the hot tub!! Only issue we noticed was the difference in temps from the upstairs and downstairs. The upper level was warmer and the lower level was at least 10 degrees or more cooler. Other than that, everything was perfect!! Would definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful Stay

The property was exactly as it was pictured. They even had a Christmas tree up! My son loved it. The fire place is incredibly intense and warms the house. If you’re looking for a true mountain retreat , this is it. Just be careful driving to the house. It fogs easily and these roads are true Mountain thin windy roads. My only suggestion would be that the house could use a good deep clean. Nothing that impeded our stay but was noticeable.

AC was an issue. Hot tub didn’t have all jets working. Other than that it was exactly what we needed.

Our stay

When we arrived it was not cleaned and there was dust everywhere. All of the dish’s were not clean the floor in the living room was not clean at all. Bathrooms were not clean either there was hair in the showers. The handle to the microwave was broken so we tried to contact the host but no body answered.

July Vacation

We had to check out a day early due to the AC not able to keep the main level cool. It was 80 degrees inside with the AC set at 74 degrees. The downstairs was 10 degrees cooler than the upstairs because there is one unit for the entire home. Would not recommend renting this unit in the summer. Left a voicemail message with property manager because they are not open on Sunday.

nice but could use some updates

Loved layout of houseLots of dust, closets need to be organized and tidied up.Upgrades needed in bathrooms and bedding. Kitchen counter needs lighting hard to see when cooking on stove and making coffee.Master bed needs replacing very squeaky and flimsy furniture.Master bath needs bath mat for getting out of shower and sturdier towel rack.Blinds were broken.Lock box outside was very difficult to get in due to latch being broken .Need to tell guests to limit one car due to restricted parking area in front of house.Back porches need cleaning up and new furniture.Nice place but needs upgrades.

Great place but had some issues

Let me start by saying the property management company was extremely responsive and accommodating but there were a few concerns. First they had to come out 3 times for issues with the heater which I would have expected to have annual maintenance before the winter. The property manager provided a bunch of space heaters but was not what you expect for the price of the place. I also wish the listing stated the home is on a non maintained gravel road that does not get salted or plowed. We had one of our cars get stuck in side ditch on non plowed road and need to be towed out because it bottomed out which was another unexpected expense. House was great otherwise but would recommend a shovel be left at the house in the snowy months so renters can clean front porch and stairs when it snows.

Comfortable and convenient

Our stay was great and this property is conveniently located between Boone and Blowing Rock with lots of good hiking, waterfalls, and shopping. Loved having use of hot tub and grill for lovely family time after days out and about. I would only ding it slightly because there was absolutely nothing in kitchen cabinets except salt and pepper- not even a sponge to wash dishes or a sugar packet or coffee filter! Also a little stingy with towels, exactly the number of people staying, and paper towels, one small roll only. Maybe I am being a bit critical, but wanted you to know that just a few extras in the kitchen cabinet (Pam, sponges, Sugar, spices) to make things easier would perhaps get you a five star review.

Family time

Very nice and clean. So glad it was dog friendly but they had to potty on the gravel -no grass. Two spots for parking a truck and SUV Trailblazer but a little tight. About 10 outside steps that go down to the front door. Hot tub towels were provided which was nice because we didn’t think to bring any. There was a baby gate at the top of the stairs so the dogs couldn’t escape to downstairs without us. The master bath is a walk in shower and the downstairs bath you have to step up and over. Will definitely recommend to others and will stay again.

Great Family Getaway

Had a great Labor Day weekend. Great location 10-15 minutes to Boone and Blowing Rock. Nice house with 3 bedrooms and we took 2 dogs. Would definitely come back. 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway and a nice hike in Moses Cone Park

Great getaway from the heat!

We spent 3 nights in this great cabin. Everything in the cabin was perfect! And the view from the deck into the forest was great. And the temperature was 20 degrees less than at home...so nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors.
