Blue Ridge Bound! Great views atop a mountain by the lake
This very cozy cabin is bright and airy with spectacular mountain views. Roads to the cabin have been newly paved are very safe with no scary drop offs or blind turns or slopes. You do not need 4 wheel drive or a truck to get here.
The property is enclosed by hundreds of feet of split rail fencing and flanked by the Chattahoochee National Forrest. From the deck, lake "peeks" can be seen in the winter months. A wrap around porch is enclosed with gates for the safety of your children and pets.
Inside the cabin there are 3 bedrooms with a king master suite with 47" TV and screened porch on the top floor, a queen bedroom with 26" TV on the main floor, and a kid's den with 2 bunk beds (full sized beds on bottom and twin on top) on the ground floor. A pull out couch provides additional sleeping space. There is a game room with ping pong, a bar, and a 32" flat screen TV. A shared "take one, leave one" book library provides rainy day entertainment. A cozy den with wood burning fireplace and 32" TV has a sleep sofa with trundle bed. The cabin's 3 fireplaces (1 wood-burning and 2 gas) bring warmth and charm on cool nights.
The outside space has horseshoes and a fire pit area with seating for 6. Hike down the mountain 10 minutes to Lake Blue Ridge or enjoy the fabulous hiking and biking paths of "Trail Town" in the Aska Adventure Area within the vicinity. Blue Ridge Lake Recreation area is a few minutes away and has both paved and dirt trails (easy) and access to the lake for a swim. A less than 10 min drive brings you into historic Blue Ridge for shopping, drinks and food in one direction, while the same time in the other direction brings you to the Blue Ridge Marina for fishing, food, drink, and boat rentals.
Lots of wildlife has been seen by my guests on the property, including black bears, turkeys, deer, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, and owls.

We enjoyed our stay so much. Lots of room for our large family, close to everything, easy communication, easy check in, and to make it even better the wildlife right in the back yard. I highly recommend staying here.
Beautiful cabin with lovely views. Well stocked kitchen for eating in. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy privacy when traveling with a group. Easy to get to and convenient to Blueridge.
Beautiful view, easy drive, warm and cozy place. If we had issues they were resolved quickly. The cabin was where we spent the most valuable and memorable time in blue ridge.
We have returned to this property numerous times and love it more each time we come. The view is stunning, the amenities are perfect, and it’s close to everything! Thank you Andrew and Susan for once again providing a memorable experience for me and my family.
We enjoyed everything about this cabin from the spectacular views to the decor. Cooked Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen with everything we needed to do so. Fully stocked home!
Thank you so much. We would absolutely choose this home again in the future
close to town but feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, large property with great mountain views. more thoroughly and thoughtfully stocked than any property we've ever rented. they also continue to invest in the cabin, as we noticed several upgrades from last time including new tv's. we will be back.
This home is gorgeous and so spacious! The location is outstanding...so close to downtown and right by the lake and hiking. We took the owners suggestions on several restaurants, and their recommendations were spot-on. The home is three stories so lots of room to spread out. If we come back to the area, we will try to book this home again. Do note: As it is described in the property description, the last part of the drive is not paved. You don't need a 4-wheel drive, but it is gravel and a bit bumpy. Don't let this deter you though...the property is beautiful as are the views!

The cabin was beautiful and the views absolutely gorgeous!
The cabin was very cozy yet spacious enough for our group to have plenty of space. It was very well stocked for all of our cooking needs as well.
The only things we encountered during our visit was the downstairs gas fireplace would not light and the shower fixture on the main floor took a bit to figure out so had a cold shower until realizing it works the opposite as designed. No big deal though as we all had a great time!
This cabin is also situated to feel far away yet only a 10 min ride into town.

Beautiful Place in the woods, but close to everything.
Andrew and Susan’s home was well-appointed, the kitchen had literally anything one could hope for. Beyond the basics!
The view is very nice. There is plenty of space in the home for more than our 3 person group. A big family would still have plenty of room.
The side den, the hermit den, was my favorite. Beautiful little nook with a huge tv and comfortable daybed.
*Do follow the directions you’re sent after reserving, GPS won’t get you the last few miles to the house.
There were areas with a lot of dust; hermit den lamp covered, kitchen ceiling light fixture, dead ladybugs and dust in sills of windows, dead bug by the bed on the main floor.
**The house IS clean**, but a couple of overlooked areas, and suspect there was just enough time between guests that the few bugs were not a big deal. You’re in the woods:). No live bugs in sight, even better!
The house was very close to everything in Blue Ridge, within a beautiful setting.
Andrew and Susan were very responsive and extremely helpful. Very lovely people.
I would stay here again.
We had a wonderful one week stay in mid-March. The cabin is very clean and so comfortable. Lots of different areas to sit and read, watch TV, enjoy the views, chat with friends. We had a variety of weather days, from sunny and warm to cold, rainy and windy. We enjoyed going into town to explore on the good weather days, and loved staying at the cabin to relax and read (and play ping pong!) on the bad weather days. The kitchen was well-stocked for when we wanted to eat in, but we also really enjoyed sampling the restaurants in town. (We recommend The Black Sheep and Harvest on Main.) The hosts were great with communication and provided a list of helpful information and instructions at the cabin. We highly recommend!
The pictures don’t do the interior of the cabin Justice. It’s cute, cozy and with great mountain decor. We enjoyed playing the board games. Andrew and Susan were very responsive to questions.
This location is absolutely perfect! We got to explore the area and the lake while also being in very close proximity of the town of Blue Ridge. It was great to get that true mountain feel while also being able to access all the wonderful Blue Ridge has to offer.
I spent several months driving around Georgia looking for a lake or mountain cabin. After seeing all the others, I finally found Blue Ridge. I always feel like I have arrived at a wonderful destination as the mountains get taller and I see the lake as I head to the cabin. Its a perfect destination for mountains and lake activities, such as hiking, trout fishing and boating. Downtown Blue Ridge has developed into an amazing destination. There are really nice restaurants and shops. Only 20 miles to Olympic white water rafting on the Ocoee River in Tennessee. Great BBQ, orchards, farms, and of course, the Appalachian Trail begins at nearby Springer Mountain. If you enjoy the outdoors and feel the mountains are a great escape, as my family has, you will love our cabin.
