Seattle area transplant fortunate to call the Bay Area home. I'm a Healthcare management professional and California native.
Margaret purchased this House in 2011
Why Margaret chose East End
Charming Art Deco Duplex conveniently located in San Francisco's East Bay with easy access to San Francisco and surrounding communities. Scenic drive to wine country and Lake Tahoe's ski and outdoor region.
What makes this House unique
Alameda is a quaint small town and property is walking distance to local shops, bars and restaurants. Public transportation to BART or San Francisco about a block away. People describe Alameda as stepping back into time and Mayberry like.

Comfortable, lovely duplex in Alameda was perfection for our stay in the EastBay. Close to shopping in downtown Alameda and easy drive to Oakland, or just nice strolling in the Alameda neighborhoods. Owner has provided a beautiful place to enjoy your holiday! Will stay here anytime.
Beautiful as pictured
Wonderful rental, in walking distance to great food and coffee. This is the first rental that has ever looked as good in person as it did in the listing. I love coming to the Bay Area, this rental is close to the highway easy to get where you are going!
This was the perfect little escape outside of SF. My husband and I stayed here for three nights with our 6-month old and loved it. The place itself is so charming, extremely clean, and even better than the pictures. We rented a car which made it easy to drive in and out of SF (20-30 min). We also enjoyed exploring Alameda itself one night. Cute area with some fun restaurants.
Margaret has thought of everything you might need. I so appreciated the accommodations provided for our baby like a high chair, pack and play, etc.
We also did some cooking and stayed in a few nights. She has a full kitchen, spices, and so on. Margaret was very accommodating and responsive to questions or needs that we had.
The only reason I didn't give five stars was because of the heat. There was a major heat wave that came through while we stayed. There is a window unit in the closet that kept the closet cool but the rest of the house was stifling (up to 90 degrees). Fans were provided as well. Margaret did tell us she was considering putting in central air because of some of the heat spikes. Obviously, the heat couldn't be controlled but it didn't exactly lend to relaxing around the house during the day.
Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this place! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Classy little property in an ideal, safe setting.
Very very happy with the property, amenities, and location in Alameda. Suited us perfectly and got a lot of nice walks in discovering the city. Would highly recommend - great value for money in the Bay Area.
A lovely stay.
