About Jonathan and Ashley Wallace

We are an adventurous family with 2 little ones. We love mtn biking, running, hiking, climbing, XC Skiing, snowshoeing, and relaxing in the woods and cooking up a good meal.

Our favorite things to do here are: Explore the outdoors, relax, retreat from the busyness, take some quiet time to pray and read, and enjoy each other's company. We bought this cabin as a place to build memories with our family, and think it can do the same for you.

We live in the front range, and make it down to the cabin as often as we can.

Why Jonathan and Ashley Wallace chose Grant

There is no better location: The trail is right there. Right there. Hop on your bike, strap on your shoes, and adventure is out the door. For people who want to be on the trail, you can't find a better location.

What makes this house unique

We have extra bikes, sleds, snowshoes, and some other random outdoor gear in case you forget something or just want to try something different.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our family had such a fun stay here! The kids loved everything around the house, the swing, the hammock, the slackline, and even the toys inside. We really enjoyed playing frisbee golf together. My mom and I enjoyed a long hike together on the Colorado Trail. My dad and brother loved splitting logs together. We had such a fun time in this cabin and would love to come back.

Comfy and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

The cabin had everything we needed and more. It was warm and cozy, and was comfortable for our week stay. The trails are walking distance, campfire areas were perfect for s'mores, and the cabin is tucked away in the woods enough for a secluded get away. Only complaint is that the garbage disposal wasn't working. Made it a little difficult to cook every day, but I believe it was temporary. Overall, loved the cabin!

Fun, Cozy, Mountain get away

  • 5 of 5

I loved that the property is right next to the Colorado trail and the vast network of Buffalo Creek's mountain bike trails. It's also just a few (7) miles from Bailey and the quaint shops and eateries there. Couldn't be better. We'll definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

Loved the seclusion of the place. The weather was good so we spent most of the time outside. We spent hours playing disc golf and hiking the trails. My favorite part was seeing and listening to the elk in the morning.

Bailey is only 7.5 miles away and is a quiet little mountain town, with just enough of what you need on vacation. Restaurants, coffee shops, local winery with tours, grocery and markets.

The cabin is nestled into the mountains of the South Platte. The area is well known for it's great mtn biking, hiking, rock climbing, fly fishing, hunting, and wildlife.

Wellington Lake is just 3 miles away, with plenty of boating, fishing, and hiking opportunities as well.
