About this property

Beautiful Kamaole Sands Oceanview Condominium !!

This beautiful, large two bedroom, two bath townhouse type unit is decorated in light, airy island decor. The living room has a cathedral ceiling with a circular oak staircase to the second floor master bedroom and bath. Interior amenities include a fully equipped, remodeled kitchen, air conditioning, full size washer/dryer in unit, dining room, large lanai with ocean and mountain views. Both bedrooms have king size beds. We offer free telephone calls to the Mainland and to Canada. There is Free High Speed Internet and WiFi. This is a second home for us and we regularly update and remodel the unit.

Please note that my rate includes cleaning and your resort fees. You do have to pay the Hawaii Uncle Sam his taxes.

The unit has three TV sets, 55' and 32' with NetFlix connections and a 40'. All 3 TVs are High Definition and two have DVD players. We have a library of DVDs.

The complex has four protected tennis courts, a children's pool, two Jacuzzi's, gas bar-b-q units, picnic areas and a poolside exercise room. Wednesday afternoon means a Hula party for your enjoyment. Kamaole Sands is located across from Kamaole Beach III, known for good snorkeling, great body surfing and beautiful sunsets.

Kihei is located in sunny southwest Maui along six miles of white sandy beaches. Restaurants, shopping, shows, and six golf courses within ten minutes will help make your stay enjoyable. Kihei is centrally located with easy access to the Wailea and to the Kaanapali attractions. The Kahului Airport is a short 12 miles from your Kihei stay in paradise.

Beautiful condo Great Location

The condo was very nice and the the grounds were maintained and very clean. Pool area and exercise room were great and I’ve never stayed in a place that cleaned the BBQ grills so well every day. There is a nice beach right across the street and restaurants within walking distance. We loved sitting on the lanai in the morning with a view of the ocean to the right and the hills to the left.

What an excellent experience!

Lois has a great condo! The layout is exactly as expected and the view from the lanai is spectacular! We had a great view of the sunset, watched the boats in the morning, and even saw whales to say goodbye on our last morning on Maui! Great place to call home while you explore “my island’”!

Kamaole Sands with Sunsets

Lovely condo located close to everything you need or want in S. Kihei. The condo was very clean with many amenities. We really enjoyed being across the street from Kamaole III park/beach and took advantage of using the pool and BBQ's within the complex. Beautiful grounds with great tennis courts.

An outstanding property

We've done many VRBOs over the years. This is the best. It's in a beautiful area, a very nice development, a great location on the property with both convenience and views, very well required and spotlessly clean.

Great family vacation

We absolutely loved the condo at Kamaole Sands. The grounds were beautufuil the condo was awesome too! Ocean views from the lanai. Directly across the street from Kamaole Sands III beach. It was the perfect location! Centrally located. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. I would definetly stay here again! The condo was clean and and it’s was really nice! I would highly recommend the Koenig’s condo to anyone!!

Absolutely wonderful!!!

This is a beautiful property! We stayed here for two weeks with our family of six and it was just perfect. This is a spacious condo with a well stocked kitchen - it had everything we needed. Great living room area with plenty of seating and a large flat screen TV. There was a beautiful, spacious lanai with an ocean view and plenty of chairs to relax in after a busy day. The location is fantastic! It’s right across the road from beautiful beaches and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Lois was so kind and helpful with any questions we had and also gave us great information on things to do in Maui. This was a dream vacation for us, we hope to come back soon!

Hawaii Getaway

It was an unusually hot week and air conditioner was inadequate, particularly to cool upstairs bedroom. Upstairs floor fan broken, and ceiling fan unable to bring adequate cool air upstairs. Even with the new fan brought by property manager several days later, still very warm because air conditioner goes off after 2 hrs. So uncomfortable to sleep. Besides the heat, condo furnishings and amenities were great. Alarm went off due to humidity in guest bathroom, was unaware of the water alarm, should be mentioned in letter, as I had to call Carol, who fortunately answered her phone and immediately sent someone to check condo. It was after 9 PM when it went off. I would recommend but not during summer months.

We are very sorry this guest was unhappy with the air on this unusually hot week, but the information on air and fans is clearly stated in materials sent to guests. Had the guest read the condo information, she would have realized that there is a whole house type fan which is very efficient in removing hot air from the upstairs and drawing cool air from the air conditioner as well. In addition, the water alarm information is also clearly explained in the condo information which is left for guests to access, Mahalo, Owner Lois

A great place for a family vacation!

Owner was very easy to work with! Sent check in info and key package several weeks ahead of arrival. Upon arrival, check in was very easy st the front desk. Unit was everything as advertised in website and more. Unit was very clean and equipped for our stay. Unit had been remodeled recently and updated from other units we have stayed in at this resort. A very enjoyable stay in this unit. We stayed 30 days! We have already indicated to Lois, the owner, that we planned to return the same time next year if available. A really great condo for a family vacation!!

We love Maui and we love your condo. This is a vacation we do every year and can not even think of staying any place other than at your condo. It is very convenient, comfortable and nicely equipped. Over the years you have continued to upgrade your furnishings and amenities. We always have a wonderful time. The kids love both the pool and the beach which is right across the street. We adults love the relaxing atmosphere of the condo unit and the nearby area for a wonderful early morning walk. Thank you so much, the Hyde family.

Lois Koenig is a long time owner at Kamaole Sands. We are lucky enough to spend January, February and most of March in our home away from home. We love Maui and would stay longer, but would miss our three beautiful grandchildren. We live near Sacramento, California during our time off island. We hope you will enjoy our little piece of paradise as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We love Maui in general, but wanted to stay on the south side of the island, due to the great weather. and in Kihei, because of it's laid back, beach town ambiance.

What makes this property unique

We play tennis here at Kamaole Sands, in Wailea and at Kalama Park. We also play golf occasionally, walk along Kihei's beautiful beaches and visit the many wonderful restaurants we have locally. Every Saturday we go to the Maui Swap Meet in Kahului; it is fun and you can get great bargains. We are not big beach people, but we love to sit and watch all the activities there.
