Quiet, Beautiful Setting

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 7-year-old daughter, and I stayed in this adorable cottage in July, and it was one of the most comfortable, quiet, and beautiful settings we've ever experienced on vacation. We chose Sequim due to its proximity to Olympic National Park sights and its convenient location close to good restaurants, the ferry, etc. It was the perfect location for us, but the cottage itself made our stay even more fantastic. Deborah lives close by and stopped by when we arrived to say hello and tell us a bit about the house. She was friendly and welcoming and then left us alone the rest of our stay to enjoy the cottage, which felt like home almost immediately. The interior of the home is very cozy with two comfortable bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, a serene living area with cable tv, a well-equipped functional bathroom, and laundry facilities, but our favorite part of the stay was the outdoor spaces. Set on the water with very few visible neighbors, this spot felt so peaceful and isolated, like we were far from the rest of the world. There is a sitting room in the front with beautiful views of the sunset and Mt. Baker in the distance. We saw so many birds, and the owners equipped the room with bird-watching information and binoculars. With all the bird feeders around the house, we were almost always guaranteed to have winged visitors. We enjoyed watching the ducks in the evenings and listening to the frogs too. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and we are already looking forward to our return to the Olympic Peninsula!

Amazing property!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at The Cottage and will likely come back again in the future. The house had everything we needed. You cannot beat the views and we enjoyed the large yard, wildlife, bird watching, kayaks and paddle board in the lagoon and crabbing! Overall, a wonderful property I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Great Northwest.

Perfect Location and Home away from Home

  • 5 of 5

We (2 adults, one child) just spent 4 nights in the Cottage. We chose Sequim as a base for exploring Olympic National Park as well as the coastal towns nearby. It was a perfect location to access everything we had on our bucket list (hiking, whale watching tour, RELAXING, etc...). The cottage is just a few minutes drive from a full grocery store in Sequim, and another few minutes from a charming downtown area with shops and eateries.

Debbie was an amazing hostess: providing us a warm welcome as well as many tips for the area. The cottage has been equipped in a way that I can best describe as being ulitmately thoughtful....not a single detail has been overlooked. There are guidebooks for birds and hiking the area, binoculars for the spectacular view, and beautiful gardening to attract a wide variety of birds.

The house is well equipped for your stay: washer/dryer, FULL kitchen with every possible pan, bowl, knife, or gadget you could possibly need to cook full meals (which we did breakfast and dinners on some days). There are plenty of supplies as well: spices, flour, oils, condiments (all fresh), foil, baggies, quality bathroom products and laundry detergents. I even discovered a first aid kit and a still-in-package razor and shaving cream (just in case you forgot yours and felt the need to shave :). Debbie has thought of everything to ensure her guests are well cared for.

The cottage itself feels just like you're staying at a friend's home. The furnishings are comfortable and cozy, with homelike touches scattered throughout (throw blankets, local art, and fully loaded bird feeders).

The sunroom in particular was the spot we landed each morning to drink coffee and watch the waterbirds cruise the lagoon, and again every evening with a glass of wine for the sunset and to watch our son frolick in the grassy yard.

Without a doubt, you will not be disappointed in this property. We are already discussing our next trip back to the peninsula - and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Our 3rd stay. We still add to our list of wildlife views and are saddened when our stay ends!

Relaxing Vacation.

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful three night stay in this lovely cottage. Everything one would need is provided. It is beautiful and very private. Loved the deck with the grill and our dog loved chasing the ball on the lawn. Over our three days I saw tons of eagles, a small fox and many other birds. Can't wait to come back with friends and family! Only regret is that we didn't stay longer...
