This place felt like home

  • 5 of 5

We instantly felt at home when we arrived at the cottage. It was clean and well stocked with most anything we needed. We used the fire pit our first night here and sat outside listening to all the ducks and geese. It was so peaceful and private. We couldn't have found a nicer place to relax on our vacation. The location was perfect for exploring the northern peninsula attractions. We explored Hurricane Ridge and walked the Dungeness Spit. Communication with the owner was always quick and friendly. I will definitely stay at the cottage if we ever return to the Olympic Peninsula again.

Private paradise!

  • 5 of 5

I'm usually not at a loss for words, but it is hard to adequately describe the beauty, privacy and tranquility of this location. Perhaps the best word is, simply, wow! The cottage was cozy, immaculate and well-stocked. We spent many an afternoon sitting out back, reading amid the quiet, glancing up from our books often to look at snow-capped Mt. Baker in the distance, the view an ever-changing canvas of light and color. The only downside of our visit was that we had to leave. If you're looking for a place to relax and recharge, I can think of no better.

Wonderful place! Amazing view.

  • 5 of 5

We had a delightful stay at the cottage. It was neat, clean, full of light, beautifully equipped with all the essentials for a vacation stay. The furniture is cozy and comfortable; the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make delicious meals; the beds are very comfortable. The sun room is a delightful spot to view wildlife in the comfort of the indoors if the weather proves unpredictable. The peace and quiet is so welcome.

Debbie, one of the owners, greeted us with warmth and hospitality shortly after we arrived, and made herself available all during our stay for any last-minute needs or to answer questions. She's lovely.

The setting is uniquely beautiful, with abundant wildlife all around, and utter privacy. The bird feeders around the house are kept full and are a popular draw for birds of all kinds. In just 3 days, we saw over 20 species of northwest birds, from redwing blackbirds to Northern Harrier hawks, not to mention the sweet little doe who munched her way up the lawn, almost joining us on the deck! And the miniature donkeys at the little farm down the road charmed our socks off!

All in all, can't wait to return. Wonderful northwest hideaway!

Quiet water view cottage

  • 4 of 5

Very clean and comfortable, and has nice open floor plan. The water view is lovely and enjoyed all the live flowers inside and out. Had our little granddaughters sleep over and they loved going out to the beach over the bridge.at Debbie's invitation. Had a somewhat difficult time with the geese honking morning and night , but I am sure you could grow accustomed to them. Identified many water foul and birds, also wonderful to see deer and quail families in the yard. The sun room was so peaceful, one could completely relax and even take a short nap or just gaze over the water. or read a favorite novel. We did not want for anything, as Debbie had a well stocked cottage. Thank you for a great 7 day stay!

Owner's Response: Thank you, Connie, for your comments. We try to make the cottage comfortable for our guests. The cottage is on a wildlife refuge and as a result, there are migrations of geese from late August to early September. They fly at sunrise and again at sunset and, yes, they can be quite noisy at times. We also get migrations of trumpeter swans, white pelicans and occasionally, sand hill cranes that come into the lagoon. Thanks for your stay.

Paradise

  • 5 of 5

I thought I already reviewed this, but I don't mind doing it again. This was a very very special place. Lovingly cared for and maintained home with everything we needed , all products of the house high quality, with very comfortable bed and great places to sit and just take in the magnificent surroundings! Deborah came over and told us about the extra special bonus of the preserve they own around the cottage. Private access to a private bridge to a private beach right on the sound. We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Perfect location - quiet, close to things we wanted to see, Sequim is a nice town.

Cottage was very clean, well supplied, super comfortable and relaxing.

Deb was very helpful; appreciated the book of suggestions, hikes and wildlife. The binoculars were great.

I plan to stay again. We loved it.
