Great Getaway

This was a great peaceful cottage that is well kept and clean. The hot tub was especially great to have at night with a view of the stars. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay away from the city lights and noise.

We loved the charm and location. It was very quiet and perfect for a romantic New Year's getaway. We enjoyed driving through the countryside to the wineries and then relaxing in the hot tub when we got back. Would definitely go back!

Awesome Cottage

This place was perfect for someone looking for a nice, clean, quiet place to stay around Paso Robles. It was about a 10 minute drive to the Lake Nacimiento Resort and about a 25 minute drive into Paso. We really enjoyed our stay here and the hot tub was great as well. We will be back.

If you are wanting a peaceful get away this is your place. I loved the birds, rabbits, squirrels, and honey bees. I also enjoyed picking fresh fruit from the trees along the path. The hospitality was amazing.

Getaway from it all

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was just as the pictures showed, small but enough room for the two of us. The hot tub was clean and we throughly enjoyed our daily soak in it. It’s bit of a drive into Paso but not too bad.

Perfect little cottage 20 mins from Paso.

The cottage is well appointed and nicely decorated. The jacuzzi, fire pit and BBQ are the bomb! The unit was full of dead and alive pincher bugs but the owner responded right away and gave me a partial refund on the cleaning. Water pressure isn’t great but I think it’s because it’s from a well. All in all, a great get away only 20 mins from Paso, beautiful drive.

The lakeside cottage was very cute! We liked the newly updated accommodations and the animals surrounding the property made the stay more fun too! Only complaint was poor water pressure in bathroom sink and shower.

Beautiful Stay

My husband and I planned a getaway for our 1 year wedding anniversary and this location was great! So quiet and relaxing. The property was clean and stocked with what we needed (toiletries). It was so peaceful and loved seeing / hearing the animals. The jacuzzi was so relaxing and well kept. And the gas grill worked properly. We didn’t have any contact with the host / owner. But we appreciate your property and loved our stay.

Great location, below average amenities

The location for a private, quiet retreat in the hills is beautiful and we love the area. However, there were a number of things that were not great about the space, like the hot tub was smelly and there were mice. Also The internet was also extremely slow so we couldn’t do work or watch a movie on the tv.

Hi Joelle, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - As a repeat guest, we were surprised to see your review and wish you would've reached out to us during your stay. We would've been more than happy to help with any issues while you were in residence to make your stay most comfortable. - The hot tub uses well water and is sometimes difficult to maintain so we clean and balance the hot tub after each guest. Based on your feedback, we also changed the water and cleaned the hot tub after your checkout. - Our location is rural and sometimes mother nature's guests make their way in. I know it's not ideal, but we do our best to keep them out. Please note that the mouse you saw has been caught and I have filled all the holes around the building to mitigate the risk of more coming in. We also have regular pest service visits to give guests peace of mind while staying with us. - Our area offers satellite only and we have the fastest service offered, with the option to add additional data when needed. We're happy to report that our Internet service provider recently shared that they will be upgrading their service capabilities soon. Thank you for your insight, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!

Bugs

We booked over new year and we wanted to love this place. I was a bit apprehensive about the cleanliness and mice given other reviews. The hot tub was amazing and relatively clean, we happily used it every evening, and the outdoor chairs and patio were clean. Our main gripe were the volume of dead, dying and alive bugs in the house. When we first arrived, there was a large dying bug in the sink and several dead bugs on the floor in the bathroom. During our 4 night stay we saw inside at least 10 dead bugs plus several beetles and about 5 spiders. We’d love to stay again but the bug issue definitely impacted our enjoyment of the place. I did send a note to the property mgr who advised that it’s in the country etc. yes I know, I just came back from sonoma living in a little house on 5 acres and I never saw this level of bugs before. It’s disappointing as apart from that (and the blocked bathroom sink) it was lovely and we loved having llamas and sheep around. Beautiful lovely area with great views.

Roadside cottage in the countryside

We were fascinated to see dozens of quail outside the window of this cottage, along with sheep and two alpaca. The sound of crickets helped lull us to sleep, aided by a soak in the hot tub. Oh, and if you enjoy seeing the night’s stars, you’re in for a treat. On moonless nights, the stars are exceptional! The cottage is spacious and well-equipped, with pots and pans, glasses and cups, utensils and coffee. Note that you’re in the country and there isn’t anything nearby to walk to. Also, although there’s a reference to the two lakes, neither is visible. Also, being in the country means that the water is from a well or spring, which in case means it has many minerals, many of which we found offputting due to their strong smell and taste. Fortunately, the owner supplied us with bottled water. This place has lots of potential and could benefit from a little more attention here and there. The bed’s mattress felt well-used due to the rim being stable and the center being sagged. Hopefully, this will be replaced before too long to help return this cottage to a higher level. All in all, a nicely sized comfortable enough place to rest.

Great stay!!

Me and my husband had such a great stay at the cottage! House was very clean, everything we needed. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch taking in the beautiful scenery. The lambs were so cute! The jacuzzi was so nice after a day of wine tasting too! We will definitely be back!

Quiet Couple Time

We were in town for a family wedding and it was the perfect place to stay. It gave us the opportunity to spend some time to our selves but still close enough to make it to all the events. We loved it and would definitely stay there again.

The reviews are accurate!

My girlfriend and I had a blast at this location. Very clean, very private and beautiful views. The owner was quick to respond when I inquired about the eggs that other reviewers raved about. If you're staying in and watching Netflix it cuts out about every 30 mins but that's probably the last thing you're doing if you are coming to this location. I would highly recommend others to book this location. You won't be disappointed.

Cottage by the lake

This cottage is a clean modern quiet stay. It was my husband and I and we had the privacy we needed. Hot tub and fire outside was very relaxing for my husband’s getaway birthday. Another plus was how close the lake is and the location isn’t to far from wineries. We also requested some fresh eggs in which they were able to deliver the next morning for breakfast, thank u Nate! Overall great stay and would return again!

Bradley’s BEST Vacation Rental!

We just had the nicest stay at this absolutely beautifully appointed rental! It had everything we could have wanted and more! It was tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The owners were exceptionally kind and easy to communicate with. The property has breathtaking views, in the late afternoon on both days of our stay longhorns walked across the hill across the street which the kids thought was amazing, and the stars at night (especially from the hot tub!) were spectacular. We will absolutely stay here again!

Alan was a terrific host. He made our stay most enjoyable. He provided us with fresh eggs from the chickens and allowed us privacy. Beautiful studio amongst the stars

We could not be happier with our stay at this beautifully built and decorated studio. It felt like we were in our own little world and the stars at night where more amazing then we have ever seen. The owner dropped off farm fresh eggs in the morning that were delicious. This is a great location between 2 lakes and an hour from the coast so we hit them all in our short weekend even though it was the winter too. This place actually inspired us to have a place like this on our property one day with the orchards like they have. We highly recommend this place. Especially if you want to escape the city (like us) and just breathe and hear beautiful silence. The hot tub in the privately fence in back yard area was perfect as well. We used the gas grill and fire table too. The furniture is all great outside and inside too. Just a perfect little place for us and our 2 kids! Thank you!!!
