NEW 2019 - we had extra sound proofing and insulation put in during the Spring of 2019. Wasn't really an issue but wanted VRBO renters to feel comfortable making noise without worrying.
NEW 2020 - we just had a very nice 8 person hot tub put in on the back deck. We also added a fire pit in the back yard - so bring your s’mores sticks.

The house is beautiful and in a very convenient location for access to both RMNP and downtown Estes Park. The hosts have great communication. There are plenty of things offered to do at the house. We played darts and cornhole and had access to numerous games and puzzles. The kitchen is large and well equipped. Overall, it was a fantastic stay! I highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at this mountain home! The location was unbeatable – close to everything yet surrounded by nature. The fenced-in yard was perfect for our pets, and the hot tub was a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. The house itself was spacious, with plenty of sleeping options for our family of 5. It truly felt like a home away from home, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Estes Park!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this home. This is truly a "home" and I appreciate the owners sharing it with us. I appreciate the little things, like: plenty of towel racks/ plug ins/ and fully stocked kitchen. There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap... There were some condiments in the fridge that was helpful. Seeing previous reviews, there were complaints about the cleanliness. Could it be cleaner? Yes, but so could my house. I appreciated the price and the lack of a cleaning fee. The owners were very helpful when we needed them.
We enjoyed the proximity to the National Park and restaurants/shops.
House is very roomy with nice mountain views! The owners were very nice and easily accessible. I asked about getting an Iron and they made it happen.
This house would be great for a big family with little ones as well. Pet friendly a plus!!
The main areas of the house were very open and spacious. For our group, we could be in the kitchen, dining room, and living room and still be together. The large table was perfect for us to all be able to sit together. Plenty of beds. Enjoyed the hot tub and pet friendly.
The property is great, Joe/Diane were great to deal with and communicate quickly. The hot tub was great, the backyard is smaller than advertised but more than sufficient. Lots of wildlife close, very quick drive to town, and house has everything you need for a long term stay. Would definitely book again.
It's close to downtown. Deer hung out, outside of the house. Uptown was a huge herd of elk. The house is roomy and open. This is our second year there. We enjoy it.
The house is huge, and lovely. It's very close to downtown.
Nice fireplace, and plenty of room to hang out. Enough snow that the kids go could sledding in Hidden Valley.
My friends and dog loved our stay here! The home is so cozy and beautiful! We really enjoyed the hot tub, the spacious kitchen and playing games around the dining room table. The location is great- so close to estes park and great hiking in Rocky Mountain. We loved our cozy winter weekend!! And this house seems like it would be so fun in the summer with all the sun rooms and views!
Overall was a great stay! Picture is a bit misleading on the size of the yard as the picture is showing yard of renters down below. Unfortunately for the owners, there is a large multistory unit being built behind their house which was an active construction site.
The house had ample space and sleeping arrangements. Kitchen was fully stocked for all our cooking needs (except a cheese grader 😃 )!
Hot tub was excellent!

Thanks for the review and feedback on the property! We should make it more clear about the yard area - that actually IS an area for our guests to use... downstairs renter has a small side yard he can use ... it’s just not signed well (we will get that updated).
We are coordinating with the city on privacy issues surrounding the multi story unit they are building behind our property - been a frustrating few months. We have a plan in place and that should be completed this Spring (2021). Glad you had a good stay.

We really enjoyed the property. The kitchen, dining and living room are all 1 open space which was great for everyone to hang out together. We also really enjoyed the hot tub! We were disappointed in the beds. The mattresses were really uncomfortable and there were only twin or full sizes, no queen or king sized beds. Also would have been good to know that 2 of the bedrooms connect so that you have to walk through one to get to the other. I would recommend to the owners to update all of the finishes and furnishings for a more modern feel, right now everything is pretty outdated and it doesn't really feel like a vacation home.

Great feedback Norma!
Hopefully this gives new renters a good idea of the layout.
We do have a Queen sized bed (new mattress as of 2020) in the main bedroom (not sure if you realized it was a queen). Additionally we have two full sized and the rest are twins (four with new mattresses). Our goal is to replace all the remaining mattresses in the next year. Another goal is to replace the furniture in the main living area within two years and add in some new fixtures to boot!
Thanks for staying at the house!

There were 6 cars and 2 large RV's adjacent to the home when we arrived. This is where the renter takes access to the basement of the home. One of the RV's has a blue tarp covering the roof. Very unsightly, especially from the views of the second floor. The owner stated the renter was very quiet. The renter was NOT quiet! Around 6am on our first morning we woke up to the sound of the renter starting their car and letting it warm up for 10 minutes before leaving. Later that day when we arrived at the house around 5pm after being gone all day, we could hear what sounded like 2 individuals having a very loud and heated argument. We left the property hoping the argument would be resolved by the time we returned. We got back to the house around 6:30 pm. At this time we could hear what sounded like 3 or more voices screeching, laughing and yelling. The party continued nonstop for over 2 hours when we decided to leave the property and head home.Several condiments in the kitchen cupboards have an expiration date going back to 2018.There was black material on the grout behind the kitchen sink - we assumed it was mold. The kitchen sink spray wand is broken and the collar around the hose at the sink is loose and exposes the cabinet below. There were fans in the house available for use but many of them were caked with dirt from heavy use. There was anice entire wall of shelves displaying games and dvd's. The 2 ceiling lights above the selves were burnt out.

Thanks for the feedback. I believe we got all the lights fixed and the fans cleaned. The house is used by our family during the summer and we feel like we get most everything ready for guests for the Fall and Winter. We will check on the sprayer and the sink - usually works fine for us. The couple downstairs that rents are so nice never get complaints and it is easy for me to let them know if they are ever too loud (there is sound proofing and insulation we had put in as well so not sure if you had a window open?) unfortunately you never let us know you heard them and just left the property to write a bad review. As you can tell from all the other reviews they are never an issue.
We were a group of old college friends who like to get together once a year in cool places and hike and reconnect. This house had plenty of beds, a very functional full kitchen and grill (which we used), a comfortable gathering space to connect (and watch football). Hot tub was great after a day hiking. Great location to explore Estes and RMNP
My family and I had a wonderful time at Joe and Diane’s beautiful cabin. We particularly enjoyed the spacious living room and kitchen as well as the hot tub. Joe and Diane were very communicative and responsive. We would come back!
Large home with 4 bedrooms & multiple beds. You do have to go through 2 bedrooms to go to the backyard & hot tub but it wasn't a problem for us. The back yard, patio, & hot tub were nice. It was a good value for the price. We would definitely go there again. One morning we saw 5 elk right across the driveway.
We only had three adults in our group, but if you need a lot of beds, this house has them. Great location and very attentive, helpful owner.
