About the property

Two Bedroom, One bath, Fully Furnished Condo

ADDED TO VACATION RENTAL MARKET IN 2014. ALL NEW FURNISHINGS. GREAT LOCATION. BEAUTIFUL LOFT. AWESOME BUILDING. ONE OF THE FEW VACATION PROPERTIES IN TOWN WITH AC!!!!

This condo is very tastefully appointed with brand new furnishings in two full bedrooms and one bathroom. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you might need. Unit includes a pullout couch so it will sleep 6 total. There is a gas fireplace and washer/dryer. We have two other units in the same building and couldn't pass this one up when it became available. It turned out even better than imagined.

NEED TO ACCOMMODATE MORE THAN 6? Book additional guests in VRBO #479391 or #915621 which are just down the hallway and you will be together.

Do you like shopping? This condo is walking distance to all of the best shopping in Estes Park. You wont have to find a parking spot for your downtown shopping expeditions. You can safely run your purchases back to the condo instead of carrying them with you or leaving them in the car.

Do you like dining out? There are many of the finest restaurants in Estes again within a few minutes walk from the condo including Ed's Cantina, Poppys, Momma Rosas, The Stanley Hotel, Peppers, Claires, Starbucks, Kind Coffee and more.

Do you like see the beauty of the outdoors and Rocky Mountain National Park? With views of Twin Owls off the deck or from inside you can look directly into the National Park. And what could be more convenient than walking along the riverwalk two blocks to the visitor center to board the FREE shuttle bus into the National Park? You can also walk from the condo to Lake Estes and to the Knolls Willow open space.

Do you have small children with you? The library across the street has many excellent resources for kids and the riverwalk has a playground to the west and in the winter an ice rink.

LAST MINUTE DISCOUNT: If you are looking to travel this month and we have availability as well for the dates you are looking at ask for a last minute discount and we will try our best to make you a deal.

About Andy

We like to travel too! This is with our son on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. We have used VRBO on many occasions and love the value, charm and convenience of VRBO properties. Owning a VRBO is almost as much fun as travelling.

Andy purchased this condo in 2014

Why Andy chose Front Range

We own another unit in this building and love the comments we get from our guests. They love that unit for the same reason we did. Our guest tell us that staying in the loft is way better than staying in the hotel and if you have a meal or two in the unit it is way less expensive too. The location in the middle of shopping, restaurants and with Starbucks just downstairs really cant be beat and the unit itself is very, very nice.

We go out of our way to make sure our units are well furnished, exceptionally clean and of course conveniently located. If you prefer to walk along the river or down and around Lake Estes its all right there. If you dream of leaving your car parked for a few days and exploring on foot this is the place for you. From performance park, downtown and bond park West of the building, the Knoll Willows open space. Stanley Hotel and Library to the North, Lake Estes and golf course to the East or River walk and Big Thomson River immediately South its all right here.

What makes this condo unique

THE most convenient location which makes exploring town and the area super easy, Elevator in Building, Cozy Gas Stove in living room, Two bedrooms for privacy, In unit Laundry, Brand New Furnishings, Air Conditioning, Starbucks downstairs, and the Deck.

Well done

  • 4 of 5

The condo was just as advertised. Location is excellent if you want to be downtown in Estes Park within walking distance of most amenities. Noise was not an issue. Parking generally not a big problem except on the busy weekend. The Condo was adequately furnished and the kitchen was excellent. Wifi was a bit of a problem. The owner was responsive to our needs. If wifi was fixed, we would return.

Owner's Response: WiFi was an issue recently. Century Link said the modem needed to be replaced and after we did that the problems stopped. Unfortunately, these types of internet problems can't really be prevented and only corrected within a day or two once someone tells me about them.

Great Location in Estes Park

  • 4 of 5

Everything was great overall. I'd stay here again. The wifi however never worked for the Condo, except Starbucks which kicked us off often. The second bedroom was small and warm..... probably great for kids, but not the best for adults. The Master bedroom and bed was excellent. The Condo had everything needed and it was within walking distance to everything. Adam was a great communicator and left great directions for use and the Key system.

Owner's Response: Wi-Fi is my biggest worry and by far the largest source of complaints. When it goes down, which is a couple times a year, it usually takes Century Link a while to diagnose the issue since I'm not always in,the unit by the modem when I talk to them. It also seems to me the process is slow and tedious. In this case a modem was needed, which took a couple phone calls to diagnose and then a few more days to ship and a few more to get installed. For this guest the timing was bad but the issue is corrected. . Starbucks WiFi is not a solution only a back up when out internet is done but it is limited in how much can be done and how long. Internet service is important I know but unfortunately is not 100% reliable or within my control.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

Location was great - was able to walk easily to shops, restaurants and Safeway.

Road noise was quite bad - we weren't able to keep the windows open at night due to the car/truck/early morning delivery van noise.

The kitchen was equipped with very basic tools- not really set up to cook big meals for a family but overall we were very comfortable. The apartment is spacious and we really couldn't beat the location.

Owner's Response: Summertime is high season which means traffic is higher and road noise is up with the increased traffic. Open Windows on the summer are really only something to do for a short period of at all. Its just too stuffy and air circulation is insufficient. That is without the AC. We added air conditioning so that guests could close the windows and still be comfortable inside. If you are sensitive to street noise please anticipate that you will be keeping the windows closed and not open for two reasons. Open Windows are great in the fall and spring only. The kitchen is well supplied for a vacation property. It doesn't have all of the supplies of your kitchen at home. We have plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses, coffee mugs, wine glasses, bottle opener, serving utensils, casserole dishes, hot pads, coffee pot, toaster, knives, pots and pans, an electric mixer, some measuring cups and spoons, placemats, napkin holders, paper towels, did rags, dish soap, dishwasher soap and tupperware. And some basic staples such as sugar, spices, oil and floor maybe. We have a full fridge, range, a diswasher, disposal, and microwave. We don't have speciality items that you have at home like the various baking pans, rolling pin, pastry cutter, etc.... You can easily cook meals in the unit but you can't make everything you could make at home. Most people aren't using much more than a small fraction of the kitchen supplies, even those staying many nights. If there is an essential item not covered above that yiu, might want that other guests would use to I would be happy to added it to the kitchen but honestly I don't know what that would be.

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

A friend and I used this location as our 'go to' place at the end of the day hiking and touring around the area. It's perfectly located in the center of it all and makes for a great place to walk to/from all the local eateries and shops. The beds were very comfortable and the living space was perfect for our needs. It would be nice if there were some better quality towels, but it's what you would get in most middle end hotels. The only downfall to our stay was a very annoying buzzing or humming sound that (we think) was coming from the art studio below. Unfortunately, the sound continued all through the night and made for some difficult nights of sleep. Not sure there's anything that can be done about it. And if you're a hard sleeper, you may not even notice it.

Andy did a fabulous job at getting right back to us if we had any questions. Very helpful to his guests. Thanks Andy!

Owner's Response: it's hard to imagine the art gallery making a lot of noise but an alarm or buzzer of course are possibilities. I will ask Tamra the owner if she has anything in her shop that could make a noise like that. Thanks for the feedback. Update: Tamra the gallery owner says the noise was definitely not from their shop below the unit but she said Starbucks AC had a problem at start up this year that was likely the cause. It has now been serviced and is not making noise.

Rocky Mountain National Park for backcountry
Car: recommended

Rocky Mountain National Park is a natural choice. Beautiful vistas, great hiking, camping, biking and fishing in the summer. The fall is especially beautiful with the changing Aspen leaves and the Elk in the rut. You will have the opportunity to see them throughout town. Winters offer quiet solitude and a beauty all its own. And spring offers wildflowers and baby Elk. The wildlife in the Estes valley and in RMNP is something to see: Elk, deer, bears, coyotes, beavers, eagles, big horn sheep, badgers, fox, and more.
