Give yourself and your loved ones a break from the hustle and bustle, while you revel in the peace that surrounds this dog-friendly Durango retreat.
Located 16 miles from Durango, this scenic cabin allows you to leave your busy life behind for a while and enjoy the privacy of nature. During the winter, we recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to get here safely.
Wood accents and vaulted ceilings create a wide open main living area - the perfect spot to get together. Catch up with your favorite book as the wood stove warms the room, or choose a vinyl from the collection to play on the stereo-style turntable. With no WiFi or TV, you'll be able to connect with your guests and make some alpine memories.
The private washer/dryer will keep the dirty clothes at bay while you take Fido out on the deck to bask in the views. Spend the afternoon sipping a local brew as the sun dips past the trees.
Make dinner in the fully equipped kitchen while your guests kick back at the breakfast bar. Put the stainless steel appliances to work, and then dine on the deck while the dishwasher takes care of the cleanup.
This one-room (plus loft) one-bathroom home can sleep up to four guests and one small dog (please note a 60-pound weight limit). The bedroom on the main level features a queen-size bed, while the upstairs loft also has a soft queen-size bed for your guests.
The small building is set among the trees and offer the perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of the forest.
Pack a snack and explore the trails that weave through the San Juan National Forest. Fly fish or kayak along the Animas River. Enjoy a seasonal brew or two and a night out at the Steamworks Brewery in Durango, and take to the slopes at Purgatory Resort.
Give yourself a break from the hustle and bustle with a tranquil trip to this Colorado retreat!

This property is clean and relaxing. We spent most of the days hiking and enjoying the San Juan Mountains. We would return to the cabin in the evening and relax on the back deck. The stereo system with records and cassettes was a nice touch. We will definitely stay here again.
It was a chance for us to unwind and relax without really relying on TV, but I mean this would probably help sales, but this was an example of what I love in a home!
Cabin was sweet with a beautiful view from the deck. The beds were to firm. Had to take turns of the couch. The cleaning fee is expensive! Cobwebs were everywhere, creepy ! For 160.00 there should not be any.

Hi, George, thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. We appreciate our guests' feedback as a means to improve and will consider this feedback to make necessary upgrades. We hope to host you again soon!
The home is wonderfully warm and cozy with little bits of sentiment throughout. The quiet street, large deck and hammock, and music collection were truly a joy and something you may not know you need but what a unique way to create space for people to enjoy the mountains. The lack of service and internet was refreshing- the kids didn’t mind at all with the trail to put around on and a most friendly neighbor dog “Jupiter” to throw sticks to!

Cozy cabin stay
This cabin was so cute and cozy, the vinyl collection was so fun to go through and listen to. Even though it was a little chilly inside there was plenty of blankets and firewood to help warm the place up.
Well organized and wonderful property. Well thought out items made for an enjoyable experience that we will keep on our short list of vacation properties.
Place was clean. Quiet. sitting on the deck and watching shooting stars was a highlight. Little coffee shop( meadow market) on the way into Durango gets a star!
I would highly recommend this cabin.
This location was quiet and beautiful. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. We never heard or saw the neighbors. This location is close to all the places we wanted to go.
Peaceful and just what we needed. Wish we could of stayed longer. The bed was a little hard for our tastes but we have no complaints other than that. We loved to come back again.
My husband and his buddy were the guests. They said it was a beautiful mountain setting and the cabin was very nice. Truly met their expectations of a mountain getaway spot and the cabin met the description. Cell phone reception was spotty at best but that helped with unplugging for a few days. Vacasa management was very responsive to questions. Would recommend this cabin to others looking for a beautiful spot to retreat.

Relaxing
We loved our stay at Cabin Tranquilo. The view off the deck is gorgeous!! The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was quiet and peaceful. We played a mean game of monopoly! What we enjoyed the most was the uninterrupted time we spent with each other on our 25th wedding anniversary trip. No distractions. Highly recommend

Thank you for taking the time to write your honest review, Terry. We're sorry for the misunderstanding about your words "spides gree". If you're referring to the spiders, we're sorry for that. This is common in the area, but we hope that it's not inside the home. However, we'll reach out to our local staff to check on it to make it more comfortable. Also, we know that you're aware that there's no TV or internet at home. We hope to consider it in the future. We look forward to hosting you again soon!
The cabin and location itself are stunning, could have been a little cleaner as we saw some dust bunnies and dead spiders about. Some of the dishes were not clean and had food residue. The wood stove and record player were a great way to spend our evenings. The cabin is situated on a steep hill but with no snow our AWD Subaru Legacy was able to go up and down it just fine. The area itself was quiet and remote- about 25 minutes from Durango proper. I recommend planning ahead for meals as the grocery stores in town charge an arm and a leg, not to mention the restaurants. All in all my husband, dog, and I enjoyed our much needed getaway.
