Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the home, location, and beautiful views during your stay. We followed up with the owner, who would like to clarify the following:- Due to the home’s elevation, nearly 3,000 feet in the Blue Ridge Mountains, WiFi connectivity can occasionally be limited, especially following last year’s storm. We understand the importance of reliable internet and regret that the service did not meet your expectations during your visit.- Although we rely on the best available provider in the area, we are continuing to explore stronger options to improve connectivity for future guests.- As a gesture of goodwill, we have reimbursed $140 for the inconvenience you experienced.Thank you again for sharing your experience. We hope you’ll consider returning in the future as improvements are made.
The House was great. The water is unbearable. Really needs to be fixed. No one would take shower or drink the water. Would not ever brush teeth with it. But we had a wonderful time. Very nice property.
This home beautiful and so welcoming. Very clean. We had the best time. The wrap around porch was our favorite place to enjoy each others company and take in the gorgeous mountain views. The kitchen was very well stocked with items I have never seen supplied in other vaca houses we have booked. Really enjoyed our family dinners with plenty of seating (11 of us). The bedrooms are very spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable with supplied linens. Though we felt miles away the grocery store and restaurants were a short drive away. The owners are very attentive. Responded immediately to any concerns. Can't wait to return!
Some properties don’t quite look like the listing or are much smaller or laid out poorly.
Not this one.
This is my second stay in this place and both times have been awesome. If I had to nit pick the water did taste of sulfur and the oven was a little slow. But those issues were so minor in comparison to the amazing view, fantastic porch, and well stocked everything, that I’m booking another trip if I’m able for next year.
This house is awesome. It is roomy, comfortable and has a great location. There are plenty of beds to accommodate 9 or 10 people comfortably. It is nestled right in the middle of the mountains. The wrap around deck is the heart of this house. Me and my friends sat out there every night, watching the fireflies and the sun disappear into the night. We stayed out there until 1 or 2 every night. The town of Burnsville is only about 6 miles away and there are plenty of good restaurants to eat at. Anybody who rents this property will not be disappointed. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay here and in this house longer.
I really enjoyed this place, and will put it on the list to come back to again in the future. It was a little dark in the living room area in the evening, but still a great spot to rent. Thanks.
This was a terrific property which we enjoyed very much. I took the advice of previous comments and brought in bottled water for our coffee, but we found the filtered water from the fridge was just fine. We had just about everything we needed (perhaps some wine glasses?) but overall it was perfect. Great view from the deck. We will be bookmarking this for future trips. Thanks!
This house and property are beautiful! The house has everything you need to make you comfortable and has a nice view of the surrounding mountains. We were seeking cooler weather and the air was so cool that we made a fire in the fire pit. The owners were very responsive and aim to please. As a bonus, there were deer in the yard each day to admire.
Property is at beautiful location.. from distance it looks very beautiful which looks good through photos too.. but there are lots of points which we would like to share
1. Water smells stinky.. so, even for gargle we used bottled water.. property manager said it has more sulfer in it which makes the water stink.. but, nobody can stand that smell for long..
2. All the door locks are broken.. including bathroom doors.. .. it's basic need.. you must fix it.. front door handle is so loose that it comes out in your hand..
3. There are spider webs everywhere.. in and out of the house..
4. There are more than 5-6 honeycombs which we could found on each door if except front door.. we couldn't open any other doors than front door bz of honeybees and honeycombs everywhere..
5. The grass is so tall, that it itches all the time if you go in.. so, we couldn't use front yard at all..
6. Garage door is broken.. it doesn't open.. so, no use of garage.. we had to park our cars on driveway.. which is small for 3 cars..
7. AC batteries were down..
8. Downstairs needs more curtains.. the curtains hanged on magnetic rods falls down easily..
9. Swings and the benches were covered with complete dust and spider webs.. we had to clean it before we used it..
Lots of cleaning and work is needed here before anyone can use it.. overall I won't recommend to stay here till the time everything is fixed.

Hi Kativa, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- As with most mountain homes, ours is on a well system and the water has a natural-occurring sulfur smell; however, we recently had a water professional come out and service the current filtration system that we have to help with this issue. We have also had the county come out to test the water as well. We do have a UV light that kills all bacteria in the water so we do know that it is safe to use in the home.
- We will be inspecting all of the locks and will fix them accordingly.
- Our home is in the mountains in a natural setting there is wildlife, bugs, and insects everywhere. We have taken time to remove all the current webs and honeycombs and will keep an eye on this in the future.
- We have changed the schedule of our landscaper and yard person to be more frequent now.
- The garage door has been fixed, there had been a power outage between guests.
- The AC batteries have been fixed and extra batteries are now available for on the property.
We will certainly take this constructive feedback and we will and have made the changes listed above. Thank you so much for letting us know about your stay so future guests can have a five-star experience!
