One of the best properties in Blue Ridge, we know you will not be disappointed! Sitting on the spacious covered back deck and looking out over the outstanding long range view of the mountains will sure to be one of your favorite ways to relax. Enjoy the porch swing or grill a juicy steak on the private balcony while your favorite pet enjoys the breeze.
Starling Skies is a 2 BR, 1 Bath mountain cabin offering easy access (which is not common with mountain properties-quite an advantage!) on paved roads from the highway and plenty of parking with its circular driveway. To reach the property, you get to drive alongside a curving, babbling creek and over a wooden, covered bridge!
The home is well-maintained and professionally decorated. The beautiful rock, wood burning fireplace, wood flooring and trim and leather upholstery furnishings are just a taste of how special this home is. Stream your favorite Netflix show or enjoy your favorite movie on the large SMART flat screen tv or cook a gourmet meal in the fully stocked kitchen.
A 10 minute drive into Blue Ridge and find yourself in a small mountain town that offers antique shops, high end shops and fine dining. For an outdoor adventure, hike one of the many famous hiking trails or play in the river on a kayak or paddle board. This cabin is on the Benton McKay Trail. For the more adventurous, there are zip-line activities and horseback riding offered nearby. And don’t forget a day trip to one of the beautiful waterfalls in the area.
Lake Blue Ridge offers pontoon boats rentals and other watercraft for your playing pleasure. The kids will love to ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Train as it meanders along the Toccoa River from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, GA.

The cabin was nice. Although it has 5 beds including the pullout it is more ideal for a small family than a big family. The road is remote and rough leading up to the cabin. It’s better to arrive during daylight hours if possible.

Thanksgiving in Blue Ridge

We had a lovely time at this cabin. We cooked a whole thanksgiving meal here. The only equipment we brought was a crockpot and instapot, everything else we needed was in the cabin. The cabin was very close to both Blue Ridge and Elijah. There was also hiking close by. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back.

Starling Skies is a little piece of heaven. It is halfway between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, the perfect location to enjoy all that both little towns have to offer. This well-appointed and cozy cabin has everything you need to enjoy a mountain get-away. The views are beautiful, the property feels private, and the host was wonderful to work with. The road up the mountain to this cabin is navigable, which is meaningful because we have visited another cabin in the area that was a pretty steep drive up and not appropriate for anything other than a 4-wheel drive. Amazing stay that we would re-book. Thanks for sharing Starling Skies with us!

5th Wedding Anniversary

The cabin was clean, private and exactly what we were looking for. The drive to the cabin is a little sketchy unless you have a 4-wheel drive, but not too bad. The view from the cabin was spectacular! My only complaint is the owner never responded to our phone call in reference to the TV. Although we were out most of the day it would have been nice to watch some tv and relax in the evening, but could not find any local channels. However, it was not a deal breaker. Very nice cabin and would recommend it.

Location is great!

We were there for Thanksgiving. We are family of 5: me, my husband, two young adults and my teen son and a dog. The place was as described, and although it was a little tight each one had their own comfortable bed. We loved it! My children had lot of time to bond together and the view was amazing!

Anniversary Getaway

Great place for our little getaway! The view is beautiful. Close to both Blue Ridge & Ellijay. The cabin is well stocked and clean. (The hair dryer came in clutch when I realized I forgot mine!) A couple steep inclines on the way to the cabin so be sure your vehicle can handle those. Definitely a place we would stay again. We really enjoyed our stay at Starling Skies!

Great Cabin With Beautiful View

Family and I spent the 4th of July Holiday here. Location of the cabin is great. Located with the view of the sunset which was stunning. Plenty to do at the cabin and just a short drive to Blue Ridge and Ellijay. Cabin was very clean. Communication with the Host was quick and easy. Courtney is very responsive to question. I am looking forward to staying here again. I would definitely recommend this cabin if you are looking for a getaway from the hustle of everyday life.

Wonderful Family Vacation

My husband, four year old daughter, and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and well decorated. The porch was wonderful. We loved spending time in the swing and soaking in the view. It was very close and convenient to Blue Ridge as well as Ellijay. The only suggestion I have is the addition of some stand up floor fans. The window A/C unit did a good job cooling off the cabin but the weather was very hot (90s) the first day. (I know we are in a heat wave down south and the high temperatures aren’t normal.) Some floor fans would have made it a little more comfortable. Once the weather cooled down it was perfect.

Beautiful Mountain get-away!

We had an amazing long weekend in this beautiful cabin with a spectacular view! It was super close to town, for shops and restaurants, as well as convenient to many trails for great hiking. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Peaceful Cabin

The cabin was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The appliances are all fairly new and the shower had lots of hot water. We ate all of our meals on the nice picnic table on the balcony and spent our evenings on the swing chair with a glass (or three) of wine. We liked the cabin accessibility - a fairly short drive on a mix of paved and gravel roads - and the proximity from downtown Blue Ridge. And there's lots to do in the area - vineyards, breweries, restaurants and hiking, fishing and boating.

My husband and I absolutely love North Georgia so much that we decided to get a cabin up here as our city getaway. The mountains are our escape! Between relaxing on the back deck with a glass of wine and breathtaking view, to hiking, shopping, whitewater rafting, and exploring downtown BlueRidge, there are so many things to do!
