Peaceful on the water

We loved sitting by the pool or on the patio looking at the canal teeming with fish! The house is spacious and well laid out. We also kept or boat in the water at the dock. Plenty of room for a truck and trailer out front.

I loved the place…..especially the pool. It’s near the airport so it is noisy but that didn’t really bother me….convenient to all kinds of shopping.

Great Weekend

We had a great stay. There were four of us for two nights and we all enjoyed the place. Everything is clean and up to date. We loved the parking since there were two full size pickups and one boat trailer. It was nice having the canal in the back yard. My son caught a few nice snook, I wasn’t so lucky. The owner was very responsive also. All in all we enjoyed it and my wife said she would stay there again.

Winter warm up!

Wonderful place! Beautiful canal (fun for kayaking!!), pool and hot tub were amazing! The house was remodeled so cute. Short drive to some wonderful beaches. Bicycles were added fun! Highly recommend for a small group or couple.

Home with lovely outdoor space

The owner was a pleasure to work with, property was clean and beds were comfortable. We used the hot tub and our friend pulled up his boat to take us to dinner. Lovely stay!

Smaller than pictures. Outside around dock it was not kept up and dirty. Nothing special. Everything was provided but a few items were either broken or not in good condition to use. The solid plus was how easy it was to get out of the canal to the gulf. I also very much enjoyed the bathtub and the kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Overall we would not come back to this property.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your review, and they would like to share the following:- The guest did not mention any broken or missing items during their stay, despite having my contact information upon check-in to address any concerns, so we were unable to replace them at the time.- Our cleaning crew inspects the dock area at every turnover, and we also have biweekly lawn service.- As the dock is outdoors, it’s out of our control to prevent leaves and debris from gathering because of natural factors.We appreciate you sharing your experience—it helps us continue to provide the 5-star stays we’re known for!

Loved our time at this house! Very clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were updated. Having a pool and hot tub along with the use of the kayaks was a huge plus! Close to the beaches and shopping made it convenient to not stay at a hotel. The host was very responsive and went out of her way to accommodate us! Will definitely recommend and come back!

Excellent place for family vacation

The house is perfect for our family. Clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Kitchen is stocked with essentials. My boys and I like to take the kayaks out to the canal. There are adult and children life jackets. The pool area furniture is comfortable. Wonderful stay for our family. Definitely will come back again.

We had a great time

The pool, hot-tub and screened in patio were great. The view from the canal that leads to the ocean is beautiful. I enjoyed kayaking out to the ocean, it was a wonderful experience. House is spotless and clean. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we need for our stay. We appreciate the cooler and 4 beach chairs, came in handly for beach day. We would definitely book it again.

Great vacation home!!

We had a great mini vacation. House is better than the description. It was clean and comfortable. Kids were fascinated with the Murphy bed bedroom setup. We enjoyed the hot-tub and pool. Property manager was responsive and helpful. Kayaked around the canal and out to the gulf with my kids and they really enjoyed the experience. Location is great, close to everything, including beach. Definitely recommend.

Perfect!

Very clean! I would stay here again with my kids and grandkids. The door to the pool is heavy so we felt safe having the grandkids sleep in that area. Grandson loved watching the big planes fly overhead. The sound was not bad. I’m very picky, used to travel for work, and need a great space. This is it!

Enjoyed our stay!

Location was good/nice/quiet with the exception that it was at least 25 minutes away from anything we wanted to do. I should've checked to see how far from the Beach and Siesta Key this location was. When we arrived the property was clean and very nice. The beds were so comfortable. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Communication with the owner was a breeze. I only had one complaint and that was that the sliding glass doors to the pool were very hard to open and close. Other than that our stay was great.

Good location

I liked the location, close to beaches. It was nice having kayaks to use(easier to get into them during high tide). When we arrived the pool was dirty, it got cleaned the 3rd day of our trip. We ended up buying tongs for the grill and some extra toilet paper. Other than that the house was clean and it was nice having a pool, hottub and kyaks. We definitely got use out of the amenities.

The home was very clean and well kept. There was ample seating and we were very lucky to be there at the precise time we were as we were able to see manatee frolicking in the canal. I'm moving back north soon and this was the last trip that my brother and sister in law were coming to visit before I leave. I live locally but do not have a private pool so the privacy was wonderful. We could've used a few more towels but the view and the home were beautiful. Thank you!

Perfect Little Gulf Coast Getaway

Unique little house with everything we were looking for on this beach trip. Less than a 20 minute drive to multiple beaches. The canal behind the house was a definite bonus as we got to interact with some manatees. The pool and deck were also bonuses as we spent most of our time outside soaking up the sun or hanging out in the pool. Although we didn’t use the hot tub, we knew it was working and is another nice amenity. The only suggestion I could recommend is that the pool area could use a good pressure washing and the inside floors (while appearing to be clean) would often leave the bottoms of our feet black. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely stay again.

We loved this place

My wife and my 4 sons stayed here for one of our sons graduation. We loved the pool, the screen-in patio, the hot tub and being right on the canal that lead out to the ocean. I loved kayaking out to the ocean in the mornings, it was such a peaceful experience. The beds were nice and it was nice to have smart T.V's in each room. It was also nice that the place had a cooler and 4-chairs for the beach and beach towels that we could use, these items came in real handy when we went to the beaches. The only small complaint I would have is that there was no scrub brush for the dishes, it could use some more kitchen utensils and the planes flying over the house was sometimes loud. Other than that, we loved this place and would rent it again when we come to visit our son. The Evolve team is great to work with, they are very responsive and communicate very well. Thank you!!

Restful stay for multigenerational group

Pros: 1) Beautiful outdoor space with clean (albeit chilly) pool and (nice and warm) hot tub 2) Photos of canal and availability of kayaks were accurate and much appreciated during our stay. You can kayak in a circle out to the gulf and admire the views and wildlife. 3) Property managers were responsive and helpful. 4) Master was large with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Other two bedrooms were small but comfortable and the additional bathroom had been recently renovated. There were plenty of clean bath towels. 5) Appliances were modern and worked well. 6) Neighborhood was very quiet Cons: 1) Contrary to property listing, the living room sofa is NOT really a "sleep sofa/futon", so there is less functional available bed space than advertised. There was an odd flat sofa without a back that was not suitable for sleeping or sitting. Looking at it in the pictures, it appears that it is grey sofa next to the window, so I guess the side folds up somehow (it was flat when we arrived)... this was not clear and it just didn't work as a bed or a sitting area. 2) The kitchen lacked enough cutlery for 7 people (knives) and there were no large mixing/salad bowls. There was only one tea towel which we washed several times during the week. 3) The property is under a flight path to the Sarasota airport so can be noisy at times. This was not an issue at night. 4) The house is on a single level, but has several single steps and uneven surfaces which could pose an issue for elderly or disabled guests. 5) There was no light in the third bedroom with the Murphy bed and the door knob fell off.

We have made the futon into a “bed” as per your request prior to the check-in. 2)We have replenish the cutleries and purchased a new large mixing/salad bowl. 3) Sarasota is a regional airport and has limited air traffic during the day. 4)There is a single step into the Florida room. 5)The light in the third bedroom(Murphy bed) is in the ceiling fan and the switch is by the door. There is also recess lighting by the head board. The door knob has been tightened."
