We sure appreciated hosting Patricia. She left our home in very good shape. The beds are brand new, purchased in March. The Keurig coffeemaker has been replaced. It is unfortunate Patricia notified us about the coffeemaker via review instead of just letting us know. We could have had a new one for her in less than 2 hours :(

We very much enjoyed hosting Donna. She was a great guest. We'd like to make a few comments regarding her review. First, there is no mold in our home and there never has been. This condo, like all homes in the area is located in a sub-tropical southern mountainous area otherwise known as the Great Smoky Mountains. The environment is quite humid especially in Sommer and what Donna is mistaking for mold is simply the very humid environment we are located in. In addition to the AC unit, we also provide a dehumidifier for guests to use if they wish, to remove humidity from the indoor air. Using the dehumidifier makes a noticeable difference in the indoor air humidity. Since Donna seemed sensitive to the humidity level in the home, if she had just turned on the dehumidifier, problem solved.

Unfortunately, Charlene was a difficult guest and was very aggressive in her demands for compensation. Let's review her review .... Outdated ? - brand new master bathroom, brand new laminate flooring, brand new carpet, brand new kitchen appliances, brand new French doors to the deck, brand new washer and dryer. 3 brand new 50" smart LED TV's in every room. All these were installed in 2019. Does that sound dated ? Just look at the photos on our property page ! Our description clearly states 3 flights of stairs to navigate, not 2. Charlene seems to be a little challenged providing accurate info in her review. She even had to acknowledge when she booked the property that the home had 3 flights. If her age makes it difficult to navigate 3 flights of stairs that were clearly described, why did she book this property ? The housekeeping firm we use is top notch and we use them for 3 properties in Gatlinburg. There is no dust or any pillow odors that Charlene eludes to. There is no mold in any of the bathrooms or anywhere else in the home. Once again, Charlene is reaching The sofa and loveseat are comfortable and we get many compliments about them. C'mon Charlene, this review is just vengeance for not cashing in by shaking down the owner :(

Just another undesirable guest who we hope avoids VRBO in the future. No view ? .....where in our description do we advertise a great view ? The condo is located in a very peaceful mountain top setting with great vistas all around. However, from the back deck it is a wooded view and no where do we imply a great view from the deck. Looks like Travis did no research before he booked. Stairs ? .... Our property listing clearly states that there are stairs to reach the front door. In fact, guests must acknowledge it before they book. Once again Travis did not take any time to understand what he was doing. Dated ? ..... Brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, new beds, new living room furniture, beautiful new bathroom, new flooring, carpet, new french doors. Just look at the photos ! Not clean ? ....where are all the other reviews complaining about our housekeeping ? Hmm, there are none. Not once did Travis mention any dissatisfaction with his stay. On behalf of all VRBO hosts, we hope Travis stays in a Motel 6 next time and stays away from VRBO

Folks, this review is an example of what happens when travelers do not read the property description, don't do any trip planning and do not review any of the information provided by hosts. The stairs to the unit are clearly advertised in the property description. In addition, we also reported the stairs in the arrival information we provided Vicki, and then again in text messages before he arrival. That's 3 different times that Vicki ignored information that was provided to her. If you look at previous reviews, you will notice that our guests were aware of stairs to the unit before they arrived. But not Vicki. In addition, Vicki was very poor communicator and did not respond to any of messages we sent during her stay. This home like all homes in the area is in a very humid southern Appalachian sub tropical climate. We provide dehumidifiers for guests who prefer a less humid experience. We hope Vicki reads review response and can do a better job with her responsibilities as a guest next time. We wish her well.

It was a pleasure hosting Crystal. We deploy cameras strictly for the benefit of our guests’ safety and security. Would be thieves turn and run when they see cameras on our properties. All of our cameras are disclosed before our guests book.

We enjoyed hosting Tammy in our home. She treated it well and left it in good shape when she left. We are little confused by her review so maybe we can clarify a little: We rechecked our websites and nowhere could we find the description that we have a clear mountain view. Perhaps Tammy was referring to some other property she had visited. The view from the back deck is beautiful and there are views across to the next mountain top but no expansive mountain views. She also mentioned there are no stainless appliances. The photos clearly show stainless appliances in the kitchen (it’s hard to miss since the photo is unfortunately sideways ) and pervious reviews even mention the stainless steel appliances. Perhaps Tammy hasn’t seen stainless appliances before and is not sure what they look like. The website description describes steps from the parking area to the front door in at least 2 different places. Maybe Tammy didn’t read the description or read it too fast. This condo has brand new hardwood floors, brand new carpet, brand new appliances, brand new bathroom renovation, brand new deck furniture, brand new mattresses, completely repainted and brand new 50” TV’s in every room. That was all completed in just our first year of ownership. Does that sound like we need a lot of updating ? This home is maintained by one of the most picky, thorough housekeeping teams in Gatlinburg. There is no “ton of dust” anywhere. Hope this helps clarifies.

We enjoyed hosting Tena. She was very easy to work with. We clearly, clearly , clearly indicate that guests must walk down 2 sets of stairs. Take a look at our property description and you will see it clearly stated. We also remind guests in their arrival package. It is unfortunate Tena did not read all the available information we provided. In Tena's comments, please note that she could not claim that there were any facilities that did not work. Yes, there is a hose and some hardware on the ground 10 feet from our unit being used by a project for another unit. Did this really affect the stay ? There are also facilities in the home that are not brand new. However, consider the following; the carpet is one year old; the laminate flooring is 1.5 years old; the kitchen appliances are 1 year old, the master bath is completely new; the French doors leading to the deck are 6 months old. Although we are biased, we have to say that nearly everything in the home is close to brand new. And yes, we will be replacing the washer and dryer in the future, but they both function just fine. Tena did not like the location of the grill. We can't help that. Our condo rules require the grill be placed where it is. Please note she could not complain about the function of the grill. It worked just fine.
