2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6
Blue Mist View is a perfectly located home base for your Gatlinburg vacation. From its wraparound deck you can gaze out at trees and the Great Smoky Mountains, yet the 2-bedroom cabin is only minutes from the excitement of downtown.
A one-story, chalet-style log cabin, Blue Mist View is part of the 43-acre Black Bear Falls Log Home Community. When you stay here between Memorial Day and Labor Day, you can swim in the resort’s heated pools—one for kids and the other for adults. There’s also a poolside lounge area and a clubhouse with free WiFi.
What’s more, the resort—and Blue Mist View—is close to just about everything the area has to offer. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Wild Bear Falls Water Park, the Guinness World Records Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park, restaurants, mini golf, thrill rides, shops, and more are within a 15-minute radius. Even the attractions of Pigeon Forge, including Dollywood, are less than a half-hour away.
Another benefit of Blue Mist View’s location are the glorious vistas. Mountains, towering old-growth trees, seemingly endless skies: They’re all visible from the spacious deck and from inside the cabin too. Bring your morning coffee outside, kick back on one of the deck rockers, and listen to chickadees greet the day as the mist rises above the mountains. Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the deck while oohing and aahing at the sunset. And perhaps best of all, reward yourself at the end of an action-packed day with a soothing soak in the deck’s hot tub under a canopy of stars: It’s a delight for body and soul.
The inside of Blue Mist View is just as restful as its deck. Once you sink into the great room’s perfectly cushioned couch, you may not want to get back up. While you’re spread out on the sofa, you can watch a movie on the large flat-screen HDTV, surf the web via the free WiFi, or simply bask in the warmth of the stacked-stone fireplace.
Dining out is often a vacation highlight, and there are scores of restaurants within minutes of Blue Mist View. Sometimes, though, it’s more relaxing (and certainly more budget-friendly) to dine in. The cabin’s dining table, positioned by large windows facing the mountains, seats 6 with ease. Just as important, the kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware you’ll need, even if you’re planning a gourmet feast. And if it’s barbecue you want, you can cook on the charcoal grill right outside. The fresh mountain breeze is the perfect seasoning!
Each of Blue Mist View’s 2 bedrooms has a queen-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and its own full bathroom. There’s no short straw when it comes to choosing bedrooms, which makes the cabin as well suited for 2 couples as it is for a family. The wood-planked walls, the high sloped ceilings, and the gentle breeze of the ceiling fans practically guarantee a great night’s sleep. If you have additional guests, you can pull out the living room sofa, which converts into a queen-size bed.
When you stay at Blue Mist View, you can pack light. We’ll provide plenty of clean linens and towels, so you don’t have to bring your own; in fact, you’ll arrive to find the beds impeccably made up, so if you want to make a map your first order of business, you can. And the cabin has its own washer and dryer; here’s your chance to return home with a suitcase full of clean clothes!
Close to everything, packed with modern conveniences, and in full view of nature’s grandeur, Blue Mist View has it all. You can have it all too—simply book your stay today!

Cute cabin with gorgeous view.
Our family has stayed in the Black Bear Falls community in the past and all the cabins are built about the same with great views of the mountains. This cabin was fine...great views, hot tub on the deck, wifi, tv, appliances, etc...but I would not choose it again for a few
reasons. First, the driveway is unbelievably steep. Overall the Black Bear Falls community has some steep roads, but his one is extreme. Our GMC Acadia actually started sliding down the driveway on a rainy night when we arrived and scared the you know what out of us. You absolutely must have a 4 wheel drive vehicle with a V8 engine to make it up the hill. We ended up carrying all of our stuff up by hand and asked the cabin at the bottom of the hill if we could park there. Second, the beds are really bad. Another reviewer said you can feel the springs in the mattress, well they were right. Please, invest in a couple of decent mattresses! Finally, all the finishes, silverware, linens, and towels are the cheapest you can find. Whoever owns this cabin could spend, say, $1,000 on a couple of decent mattresses, a set of sheets and towels from Target and some decent cutlery and get a 5 star review (save the driveway). I do think they should disclose the driveway issue in their ad for this property b/c there is really no other option. I know it sounds negative, but overall it worked out fine for us. The bones of the cabin are great, owner just needs to invest a little in finishes.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to share. Your input, as well as all of our guest feedback, is important as we want guests expectations to be met upon arrival. We apologies to you for the areas you feel we fell short of expectations. Roads and driveway in a mountainous region can be steep, and inexperience mountain drivers may find them challenging. Mountain roads usually lead to incredible views of the Smoky Mountains as this one does. We have passed along your suggestions. We are glad you did enjoy the gorgeous views, and amenities during your stay.
The overall cabin was cute, cozy, and very well kept. It is convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Kitchen was well equipt. I would have easily given it 5 stars but the bed in the master bedroom was horribe. You can feel the springs in it, and every time you move it made a noise. It desperately needs a new mattress. But the cabin was great!!!!
Thank you Jennifer for staying with us and sharing your review. We have passed along your comments about the mattress to the owner. We look forward to having you stay with us on your next trip to the Smokies.
The cabin is cute, clean and cozy, the mattress in the master is super squeaky every time I or my spouse rolled over at night it woke me so if you are a light sleeper I recommend sleeping in the guest bedroom (my mother in law traded rooms with us). The side deck is shaded and you are looking into the treetops, it was really nice and relaxing during the rain, we spent most of our time there. It is motorcycle accessible but not motorcycle or 4 cylinder car friendly. The car stalled out on 2 different occasions trying to get up to the parking area, once during a rain and we slid back and almost hit the fence at the cabin below us. I wrecked my motorcycle leaving because of the incline and sharp turn (and inexperience with riding in the mountains). We were able to repair the bike ourselves, I tended my scrapes and we now know to be more specific when asking about motorcycle accessibility. Otherwise, we really liked the area and the cabin itself.
Thank you Martie for taking the time to review Blue Mist View. We look forward to having you stay with us on your next trip to the Smokies.
