*** The Best Kept Secret in Colorado! ***

Looking for a fully furnished, cozy get-a-way to relax and unwind?

Our lovely Blue Bell Cabin is nestled among pines and aspens, giving it a secluded feel while just 10 minutes from town. It's a wonderful mountain destination surrounded by spectacular scenery, an area rich in history, and fun-filled activities for everyone.

Spring, summer, fall, or winter, our cabin provides privacy and comfort and a chance to connect with nature. You can enjoy great mountain views, a night of star-gazing, and the sun rising over Pikes Peak from the two private decks. Scenic drives are literally everywhere and hiking abounds at several area state parks and national forests. Explore all the charm and history of Cripple Creek by day and into the night. Visit the nearby Florissant Fossil Beds, Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and ride to the top of Pikes Peak. Enjoy fly-fishing in Gold Medal Waters, snow skiing on world class slopes, gambling in nearby casinos, and white water rafting and zip-lining at the impressive Royal Gorge.

This modern, fully furnished 2-bedroom, 1 bath chalet-style cabin accommodates 6 adults comfortably with a Queen bed in both of the upstairs bedrooms and a NEW Queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress downstairs. The bright, sunny rooms are welcoming and allow nice passive solar heating. Linens for the beds are provided and each bedroom has multiple sets of towels. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, blender, linens, microwave, a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven with cook-top. The downstairs bathroom has a tiled tub/shower combination and is furnished with towels. The wood stove serves as a very efficient alternative to the radiant baseboard heating and the fireplace offers a romantic element.

Unwind after a day in the mountains with a barbecue on the back deck. Enjoy bird-watching and the deer as they graze through each day.

We are dog friendly (with prior approval) and have FREE WiFi! While well-maintained state and county roads bring you to our cabin, an all-wheel/4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended during our rainy/snowy months.

About Celia & Barry

We love nature and the outdoors. As avid photographers we have a zest for adventure and experiencing the joys that the world and life have to offer. As busy professionals, we have come to a stage in our lives where we want the simple life to pursue our dreams in a relaxed, down to earth fashion.

Why Celia & Barry chose South Central

After exploring southern Colorado, we fell in love with the Cripple Creek area. During one of our vacations, we had the opportunity to stay in this delightful cabin. This cabin felt like home, unpretentious, comfortable, easy to access and just the right size. We were fortunate to make it our own. With easy access to the main road, we are able to pursue our love for exploring the Colorado Rockies on our Honda Goldwing motorcycle. With hiking out the back door and trail-heads so close, we are able to explore all the incredible scenery, incorporating our enthusiasm for photography.

This little bit of heaven is tucked away, offering privacy without the feeling of remoteness. Cripple Creek is only a 7 minutes drive with casinos, shopping, restaurants, a grocery store, gas station, hardware store and Emergency Medical Services. Call us if you have any questions. 512-797-5800

We had a fabulous time in this cabin. I'll start by saying that I'm one of those weirdos who unloads a can of Lysol at every, I didn't need to do that. Just the sheer cleanliness was a great way to begin our time in Cripple Creek. The plate of cookies that were left for us was devoured in minutes by the boys.

If you are looking for privacy, you will find it here the outdoor area is beautiful with plenty of wildlife to watch from the huge deck. i walked quite a ways down the mountain, through the trees with my dog. At one point a doe ran past us only about 10 feet away. once she was past, she stopped to check us out for a couple of minutes and then was on her way.

The cabin is super close to the fossil beds in Florissant and to Cripple Creek. It's an easy, scenic drive to Woodland Park, Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs. You can catch the train to Pikes Peak from Manitou Springs).

I highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to stay in the Cripple Creek area, but outside of town (just) in the mountains.

Great place. Enjoyed the stay. Awesome view.

Perfect with two exceptions. It had no washer and dryer (to be fair these were not in the list of amenities). Too many security cameras. Made me a little uncomfortable.

Very peaceful and private!

  • 4 of 5

I loved having coffee on the deck watching the sun rise and wildlife roam! Only downfall I'd have to say was there was a lot of dog hair! Other than that it was amazing!

Super relaxing cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for a little birthday weekend get away for my boyfriend, a couple friends and myself. The wood stove was so cozy and the deck had a beautiful view. We where visited several times by a herd of deer. This was a nice break from city life, and really nice to be somewhat secluded. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to drop the devices and spend some quality time together! ( although you do get full cell service and fast wi-if if you cannot drop the devices) thank you to Celia and Barry for making this place a home away option!

Spotless Cabin stocked with Plenty of Fluffy Towels...

  • 5 of 5

This very private cabin has a beautiful on obstructed view of the mountains and sky at night. We could watch the fat deer relaxing from the deck. We saw an eagle a couple times on our walks. The cabin is spotless and we'll stocked with fluffy white towels and modern kitchen equipment. Our 4WD came in handy going up the drive when it snowed a few inches. Had a great time and close enough to Cripple Creek to do a little "adulting" in the afternoons.

We took 3 of our kiddos to Blue Bell Cabin for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The owners are extremely responsive and gracious and the cabin had all the comforts of home. A highly recommended vacation spot!
