*** The Best Kept Secret in Colorado! ***

Looking for a fully furnished, cozy get-a-way to relax and unwind?

Our lovely Blue Bell Cabin is nestled among pines and aspens, giving it a secluded feel while just 10 minutes from town. It's a wonderful mountain destination surrounded by spectacular scenery, an area rich in history, and fun-filled activities for everyone.

Spring, summer, fall, or winter, our cabin provides privacy and comfort and a chance to connect with nature. You can enjoy great mountain views, a night of star-gazing, and the sun rising over Pikes Peak from the two private decks. Scenic drives are literally everywhere and hiking abounds at several area state parks and national forests. Explore all the charm and history of Cripple Creek by day and into the night. Visit the nearby Florissant Fossil Beds, Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and ride to the top of Pikes Peak. Enjoy fly-fishing in Gold Medal Waters, snow skiing on world class slopes, gambling in nearby casinos, and white water rafting and zip-lining at the impressive Royal Gorge.

This modern, fully furnished 2-bedroom, 1 bath chalet-style cabin accommodates 6 adults comfortably with a Queen bed in both of the upstairs bedrooms and a NEW Queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress downstairs. The bright, sunny rooms are welcoming and allow nice passive solar heating. Linens for the beds are provided and each bedroom has multiple sets of towels. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, blender, linens, microwave, a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven with cook-top. The downstairs bathroom has a tiled tub/shower combination and is furnished with towels. The wood stove serves as a very efficient alternative to the radiant baseboard heating and the fireplace offers a romantic element.

Unwind after a day in the mountains with a barbecue on the back deck. Enjoy bird-watching and the deer as they graze through each day.

We are dog friendly (with prior approval) and have FREE WiFi! While well-maintained state and county roads bring you to our cabin, an all-wheel/4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended during our rainy/snowy months.

About Celia & Barry

We love nature and the outdoors. As avid photographers we have a zest for adventure and experiencing the joys that the world and life have to offer. As busy professionals, we have come to a stage in our lives where we want the simple life to pursue our dreams in a relaxed, down to earth fashion.

Why Celia & Barry chose South Central

After exploring southern Colorado, we fell in love with the Cripple Creek area. During one of our vacations, we had the opportunity to stay in this delightful cabin. This cabin felt like home, unpretentious, comfortable, easy to access and just the right size. We were fortunate to make it our own. With easy access to the main road, we are able to pursue our love for exploring the Colorado Rockies on our Honda Goldwing motorcycle. With hiking out the back door and trail-heads so close, we are able to explore all the incredible scenery, incorporating our enthusiasm for photography.

This little bit of heaven is tucked away, offering privacy without the feeling of remoteness. Cripple Creek is only a 7 minutes drive with casinos, shopping, restaurants, a grocery store, gas station, hardware store and Emergency Medical Services. Call us if you have any questions. 512-797-5800

We had a fabulous time in this cabin. I'll start by saying that I'm one of those weirdos who unloads a can of Lysol at every hotel...here, I didn't need to do that. Just the sheer cleanliness was a great way to begin our time in Cripple Creek. The plate of cookies that were left for us was devoured in minutes by the boys.

If you are looking for privacy, you will find it here the outdoor area is beautiful with plenty of wildlife to watch from the huge deck. i walked quite a ways down the mountain, through the trees with my dog. At one point a doe ran past us only about 10 feet away. once she was past, she stopped to check us out for a couple of minutes and then was on her way.

The cabin is super close to the fossil beds in Florissant and to Cripple Creek. It's an easy, scenic drive to Woodland Park, Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs. You can catch the train to Pikes Peak from Manitou Springs).

I highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to stay in the Cripple Creek area, but outside of town (just) in the mountains.

Serene, relaxing and oh those sunrises!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family had a wonderful time at this charming cabin tucked into the mountains. The back decks are perfect for catching the sunrise over Pikes Peak. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils for your cooking needs and with two bedrooms both with full size beds and a sleeper sofa, my family of five had plenty of space in this clean, cozy cabin. We would definitely return and refer our friends and family.

Our favorite family vacation so far!

  • 5 of 5

After spending two wonderful days tent camping in Rocky Mountain National Park, our family arrived at the Blue Bell cabin for 4 nights. We didn't think that our vacation could get any better but we were wrong. The views from the cabin are amazing! Our family of 5 was so comfortable in this awesome vacation rental that had all the amenities we needed. We were close enough to Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou cliff dwellings etc that it didn't seem too out of the way but far enough away that we had privacy and a real vacation in the mountains. We had 5 deer visit while we were out on the deck and family memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We hope to return at some point! :)

Once again a great vacation in a great rental home!

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed in this lovely home. Once again, we were not disappointed. The weather was rainy and gloomy the whole time but it did not dampen our spirits. We relaxed and took it easy. We were only 4 miles from Cripple Creek so we did a little gambling. We also went to Victor. It is a cute, quaint town.

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is the place!

Best vacation ever.

A beautiful Cabin in a beautiful area. We really loved the view from the upper deck. We spent 9 nights there, wish it had been 90. My wife and I are avid birdwatchers and we saw many new birds there to add to our life list. Pikes Peak is visible from the Cabin. With my binoculars I could actually see cars and the cog train at the summit. The Cabin is well furnished and decorated, we loved the Red-headed Woodpecker door knocker by the back door. We can't say enough about the Cabin. Some days we went hiking and visiting the surrounding area, other days we just hung around the Cabin. Don't miss the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center which is close by. We did the interactive alpha tour and got kissed by a wolf. Thank you Barry and Celia for allowing us to stay in your Cabin.

Great place. Enjoyed the stay. Awesome view.

Perfect with two exceptions. It had no washer and dryer (to be fair these were not in the list of amenities). Too many security cameras. Made me a little uncomfortable.
