Navona apartment description
A lovely apartment ideally placed to discover Rome. In the heart of the historic center with all major sites within walking distance. Surrounded by many restaurants, trattorie, pizzerie, shops and Campo dei Fiori market, the apartment is only five minutes walking from Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Campo dei Fiori.
All the others attractive sites of Rome are reasonable walk: Fontana di Trevi, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, the Imperial Forums and the Colosseum as Saint Peter’s Basilica, Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vatican. If you don’t want to walk, just a few blocks away, in Largo Argentina, there are busses available all over the city; there is also a cab station. So, transportation options abound. Located on the second floor of a building (with no elevator) in Via dei Cartari.
The entrance opens onto a bright and sunny open space: a living room with a double sofa bed, a dining area with a table and a fully equipped kitchen. From the living room a passage with independent entrances to the double room (with a double bed), the bathroom and the balcony. Air conditioning and independent heating, oven, refrigerant, dish washer, washer, TV.

Best Location in Rome!
Best Location in Rome!
This large (by Rome standards) apartment has tall ceilings and plenty of light from windows in every room. The kitchen and furnishings are comfrotable. Be aware that you have to provide your own handsoap, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc. Luckily, there is a grocery store down the block where you can buy everything you need. The location, across from Chiesa Nuova, is the best in Rome--midway between Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. Everything in Centro Storico is within walking distance. If not walking, there is a taxi stand and bus stop at the end of Via Cartari. Carla was very helpful in getting us directions to places beyond our walking area. Don't bother to bring guide books, the apartment has plenty (even if they are a bit out-dated). Romans' favorite pizzaria, da Baffetto, is 5 blocks away on Governo Vecchio--amid many other dining choices and boutiques. My husband walked half a block to L'Artigiano E Emanuele (has a NUOVA GESTIONE sign above the door) on Corso Vittoria Emanuele for double cappuccino and cornetto takeaway for breakfast everyday. They also sell gelato, pastries and sandwiches and are very friendly. We've stayed in hotels in our prior visits to Rome, but we will try to stay here again when we return. It was a great place to come home to after long days of walking. And you get used to walking up to the third floor. Only problem: someone rang our downstairs bell every morning between 8 and 8:30. Also, while you don't hear street noise, you do hear other residents speaking in the light wells (and dogs and babies).

Loved our apartment
Loved our apartment
We spent two weeks in this apartment in early May and absolutely loved it. We loved the apartment itself and its location: we were able to walk to all the main sites in Ancient Rome. And it was a pleasure to come "home" after a tiring day of sight-seeing. There is a supermarket half a block away so we were able to have several of our meals at home. Carla was extremely responsive to our needs and also arranged for us to be met at the airport, which was nice after a long flight. We highly recommend this apartment.

Quiet and Great Location
Quiet and Great Location
Just returned from our 10 day trip to Rome. We've been multiple times and rented many apartments. This is the quietest apartment we've ever had. Also, the first with air conditioning that works well. And internet connection every day. The apartment has windows on three sides facing the courtyard, so it has plenty of light. Great little touches like the magnified makeup mirror and the hair dryer. The driver, Massimo, got us to and from the airport faster than anyone else has in 10 years. It is directly across from the Chiesa Nuova so it is handy to everything you want to see. The climb to the third floor is easy - short flights of stairs. Plus, the grocery store is at the end of the block and there is a pizzaria at the opposite end of the street. Carla was very helpful. We hope to stay again soon.

Modern with a personal touch!

My husband and I stayed here for nine days and we highly recommend it! The location is fantastic; central, but on a quiet street, so it provides a haven at the end of a long day of sight-seeing. Carla is extremely responsive and arranged our travel to and from the airport. The flat itself is exactly as described in the photos and description. All in all, a great experience that I will recommend to all of my friends.

My partner and I stayed here for 6 nights in mid-May 2011 and we loved the apartment. The positives: the owner is very kind and helpful, the apartment is exactly as it appears in the photos (in fact it’s actually larger than it appears in the pics), it’s a very quiet apartment, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is huge for Europe, the kitchen is nicely equipped, the apartment is very well located in the city (walking distance to everything except Termini Station), there’s a grocery store 1 block away, and there are numerous great restaurants mere blocks away (all offer terrace seating and are reasonably priced). Some very minor negatives: turning on the TV is as difficult as working for NASA, the dishwasher did not work (the owner quickly addressed this issue and it should be repaired in time for the next guests), and the Italian coffee maker is way too small for an apartment that lodges 2-4 guests.

Central, Quiet Location
Central, Quiet Location
Wonderful, spacious apartment in a central location; even with young children walking, it was not taxing to walk to the major tourist sites. The kitchen was well equipped (although, no microwave). There was plenty of guidebooks and other reading material available. The owner was very helpful. A great place to stay while visiting Rome!

My husband and I just returned from a 23 day trip to Italy and finished in Rome staying at this lovely apartment. It is so centrally located that we were able to walk to all the famous tourist sites and all restaurants. Coffee houses are on every corner. The owner was extremely helpful and spoke incredible English. We would definitely stay again and recommend this place to any friends.

Simply loved this apartment. The location is wonderful and the apartment is super clean, well decorated, and has all the amenities required. Could not be closer to all of Rome's must see sites (max walking distance - 20 minutes). Carla could not be more helpful (Even arranged our transportation to and from the airport). We are already planning to go back.

This apartment was wonderful and Carla was a great help. She provided directions, met us at the apartment, and answered all my questions. The location of the apartment was great. We felt like we were living in Rome rather than just visiting. There is a wonderful bakery on the corner. One block away is a cute little square with a good restaurant and grocery store. In fact, I believe there are several close restaurants, but most of them were closed for holiday when we were there in August. It is easy to walk to most Rome attractions. Campo de Fiori is very close. We loved walking down the narrow Roman streets on the way to Campo de Fiori. The Vatican is in very easy walking distance also. The apartment is in the heart of Rome, but it is not near a metro station. There is no phone in the apartment, but internet is available. The apartment is large enough to comfortably fit two couples; one must sleep on the pull-out couch. The apartment was neat and clean.

My husband and I recently rented this apartment. We found it to be a great place to stay. It was a very nice apartment, large and clean. It was also a very convenient location for touring the entire city. We would definitely recommend this apartment. Carla was a big help too.

About: I'm a 35 years old girl. I've a degree in law, but I'm still studing for more specializations. I love languages; in particular I love french, but I also speak a little bit of english since it's the most important language and most of my guests come from USA. I like to keep in contact with my guests and to give them all the help they need during their holiday. It's a pleasure for me.
I chose this flat because of its location. It's great, it's few steps away from Campo dei Fiori square where every day there is an open market with fresh fruit, vegetable, cheese and lots of things. It's very close to Piazza Navona and the Panteon (5 minutes) and close also to all the other monuments of the city, like Colosseo and Fri as well as the Vaticano. Even if it's inside the historic area it's very quiet because all the windows look onto the courtyhard.
