  As gorgeous as the pictures are, they really don't do justice to the beauty of the property and surrounding area. The house is fantastic and Red Hook is just down the street, with shops/restaurants/ferry to St. John. Absolutely perfect getaway for my wife and I. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend to anyone considering renting.

  We had a wonderful stay at the Honeymoon Guest House. The property was exactly what we expected from the owner's description and photos. The view was breathtaking and the beautiful house had everything you could possibly need for an island vacation -- beach chairs, towels, a cooler -- not to mention a private beach just a a short walk or drive away. We enjoyed breakfast daily on the porch overlooking the ocean and sunbathing and reading on the sun deck. One thing to note -- you will definitely need a car here. The house might be difficult for cab drivers to find and is too far from the road to walk to hail a cab. We learned this the hard way and were lucky that the owner, Jim, went above and beyond to help us out of a bind. I would recommend renting an SUV because of the island's terrain. Red Hook is very close to the house, making it convenient to dining and shopping. We loved having drinks at the laid back Island Times Pub. A short distance away, the restaurant at Secret Harbour was also great for a nice dinner. We had a quirky experience with service at Old Stone Farmhouse, but the food was quite good. We loved our time in St. Thomas and hope to return to the Honeymoon Guest House soon!

  Three sisters came to the Islands to celebrate life--victories as survivors of a stroke, breast cancer and teenagers! We chose the Honeymoon Cottage because of viewing the house from the water on a previous sailing adventure. It is even more gorgeous than expected! The Honeymoon Cottage was wonderful for us-- we breakfasted on the veranda, relaxed on the deck and played at the beaches! We were unable to read our books because we were too distracted by the beautiful waters, the boats sailing past and the views of the horizon! Thanks to the Ladds for helping us have a true escape--looking forward to a return visit!

  You never know how accurate an owner's description or pictures are when booking, but this guest house far surpassed our expectations. We could not have asked for a more beautiful, well-maintained, welcoming location and Jim was the perfect host. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet the rest of the family as they were "off-island". We loved it so much that we are returning this year. We don't usually stay on the same island twice, but decided any other choice would be a let down after this. We had not spent time on St. Thomas and even after researching the guidebooks was not sure what area to stay. We got very lucky as we decided after exploring the island that there is not a better spot. The beach is within walking distance and the Red Hook ferry to St. John's just a short drive. Red Hook is a great little town with good restaurants.

  What can I say? This has been a spectacular stay in one of the most gorgeous places in the world. The decoration and brand new facilities in this guest house have made my vacation so easy. I love the elegant construction and trims and the beautiful marble tiled bathroom. I wasn't sure that it would feel so private from the house next door, but the sound of the surf gives complete privacy and the feel of a deserted island. I loved being able to walk to Pelican Beach and how easy it was to hop on the ferry to St. John. Thanks for having all my food requests stocked in the kitchen. I would highly recommend this guest house.
