Location: Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexican Riviera, Mexico (45 Minutes North of Puerto Vallarta)
Accommodations: Villa, 4 Bedrooms + Sunroom, 4 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)
Keywords: Villa
If you dare to treat yourselves, come live in art, high on a quiet hill top, hidden in the south central side of Sayulita. Villa Piccaso is close to town center, (3 to 5 min walk), without the dust, noise and long walk from north side. Only the sound of ocean waves and songs of abundant jungle life, sooth your senses as you take in the ever changing north coast views. On special days, a huge mountain range appears behind the horizon, like magic.
Enjoy the architectural details of simple whimsical elegance, as they tickle you with surprise, calm you with curves, jazz you with originality, while some, evoke fond memories of your childhood to experience a new. Look out any portal window, "framing" a new work of art the universe paints for you daily.
You will realize too, the gardens have been designed with the same attention to detail and humor to draw a smile. Shower in nature, while enjoying the vistas of Monkey mountain, or the ¨still life¨ of Iguanas hoping you won't see them in the great tree out back..., and maybe even pick a ripe banana when you are ready to dry off. You may even see rare Woodpeckers ratatat-tating for their young's morsel, or a flock of bright green parrots noisily "alerting the media" of they're presence during a morning or evening rinse.
From the large upper deck.. wander over, pick a succulent ripe mango for an energy boost. You may need it if you see the waves are standing up nicely, begging you to be they're dance partner just once, with you on board. After all, surfing is one of Sayulita's finest draws.
But alas! No waves for your vigorous morning exercise routine? Go swim laps in the 50´ ¨neck ¨ lap lane of the ¨Picasso head shaped swimming pool. Pistachio PCaso may blush if she sees you are naked, with her huge eyes! Rest in her loveseat ruby red lips, while a jet relaxes a back muscle tightness away. Feel a siesta coming on? Grab a book, and go BE the man or woman in the moon, while lounging and enjoying the ocean or garden views from the moon with a silver lining window. You probably wont read much during the daylight hours, with the spell binding views. But you could at night when daylight is turned off, after enjoying the sunset from the upper roof patio. Twice a year for one week, in April and September, look for the illusive green flash as the sun marches by a valley that frames the ocean.
When the sandman cometh, any cozy room of your choosing will coddle you to sleep, while nature´s new morning surprise out the windows are orchestrated for your awaking. A/C whispers for more comfort if you choose. In the penthouse suite, coffee awaits just around the corner in the outdoor 2nd kitchen/bar area with vistas of Sayulita's beautiful coastlines and jungle mountains that will hold you silent. Listen, and you will hear hints Sayulita is stirring, adding ingredients for your day dawning.
Then it dawns on you, you have not left the house in, How many days? What day is it really? In silence, you may realize for the first time... Ha!, it really does not matter!. Just then, the silence of morning is broken by your house guest laying in the hair of the pool below when calling out, What day is it? You reply in content joy.. who cares!" Because you still don't know, and it really doesn't matter, when you "live in art".
Villa PCaso is magic, inside and out.
The house staff can make it more so!
Pepe, ( gardner/houseman, speaks ok English! ), and Kitty,( house maid ), are present daily ( not Sundays), to assist with anything you may desire.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or other special events for a nominal fee. ( great Margaritas, and Guacamole too! )
These two are magicians!
You will see.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2003
I am a garden designer, and home designer, having won a Design Excellence Award for my first home remodel in Austin Texas in 1987.
I love taking eye sores and turning them into art.
VillaPCaso.com took 3 1/2 years to remodel.
Why the Owner Chose Sayulita
I bought in Sayulita, after extensive travel up and down the Pacific Coast of Mexico, because it is the best beach pueblo on this coast! I have seen them all since 1980.. It is super convenient to fly in and out of Puerto Vallarta, to anywhere in the world! They weather stays a bit cooler than my other favorite spots to the south, so it is more comfy. I have to have topography with my ocean views, and they are spectacular here!
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
1st and foremost, The location of Villa PCaso, ( not to rip off Pablo ! ), is one of the best reasons to stay here. ALL other areas of Sayulita are very noisy and dusty and some of the popular areas, like the north side, are afar trek from the town plaza. VillaPCaso is located close in.. high on a hill where the noise is blocked by a lower hill towards town. It is only a 5 minute walk to the plaza and beach, and a 10 minute beautiful jungle walk to Muertos Beach.
2nd, VillaPCaso will magically mesmerize you, coddle you and amaze you with it's curvy designs and special details. After 2 years of rental history, Groups wind up going to town less and just stay in the Villa. Pepe and Kitty will go shopping for you and bring what you want, cook meals, whatever is desired for a better stay. The house, and views will keep you spell bound.
no one ever wants to leave!

Our family of 6 stayed for a week at the villa. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The house is arcitecturally and artistically amazing. It is in the best location in Sayulita (the south side) with a great view, and only a 5-10 min walk to beach and town. We had pepe and kitty cook for us each night - incredibly good and affordable. We loved Sayulita and will definitely be coming back.

Tiffany M. Oregon, United States Dec, 2010 We had a wonderful stay! The 3 families had plenty of room, the beds and pillows were comfy, the "outdoor" showers were refreshing. Location is ideal and the walk up the hill was good exercise for all of us. We already miss the beautiful ocean/mountain view. We would definitely stay again with a big group.

Phoebe S. Oregon, United States Jan, 2011 The house was perfect for our large group. The separate spaces were very private even with no curtains. The outdoor shower had an incredible view of the ocean. Posh house, but still funky. Lovely!

Rachael W. Colorado, United States Feb, 2011 We had the best time at Villa Picasso! Pepe was very helpful in answering questions we had and helping us with our plans. He made a fantastic shrimp dinner for us to celebrate a friend's birthday and was very gracious and nice. We miss him and the the house already! It was truly paradise.

Megan Y. Colorado, United States Feb, 2011 Our group recently had a fantastic stay at Villa PCaso. The house was bigger and more beautiful than I expected and everyone was quite pleased! I did quite a bit of research on the various rental houses in Sayulita before we chose Villa PCaso, and after having been there I can definitely say that the pictures and descriptions of your house matched reality a lot closer than some of the other houses I saw in person. The house has been beautifully remodled and is very nicely maintained. One of the best parts of staying in the house was having Pepe around - he is fantastic!! He made his famous guacomole and margaritas for us, as well as cooked us some delicious shrimp fajitas. He's an outstanding chef! He also found us a great deal on a day of fishing, and even came and got us on his day off and brought us to the fishing boats. Also, when the house ran out of propane, he immediately called the gas guys to come bring a new tank. He then offered to go bring us the tank from his own house because he wasn't sure how long it would take them to bring us a new tank of propane. I can't say enough how great he was and how much better our trip was because of him. I will be recommending a trip to Sayulita and a stay at the Villa PCaso to all of my friends and we hope to be back soon!

Anisha , United States Jun, 2011 We really enjoyed Villa PCaso. It's a great house with wonderful rooms and views. The kids loved the pool and we loved the 'upstairs bar' where we'd have late afternoon drinks every day. Kitty and Pepe took great care of us. Pepe is a fantastic chef!

Amy L. California, United States Jul, 2011 Your house has the most beautiful view in Sayulita, we think. My favorite spot was the outdoor shower on the penthouse level, nothing like bathing in the jungle with the birds, iguanas and geckos, with an amazing ocean view from the panoramic window in the bathroom. Tom was very knowledgeable and offered helpful hints to navigate around town. He was kind and welcoming. The highlight of our stay was Pepe's delicious home-cooked meal. It's a must have when visiting Villa Pcaso. Whatever you need, Pepe is right there to assist you. Thanks for an awesome time guys! We needed the relaxation and tranquility your home offered.

Granted our review is long overdue, it should not take away from the fact that we had a truly special time during our stay. We stayed at Villa Pcaso (Tom's house) during New Years 09/10 which also happened to be my birthday. This is an amazing house with panoramic views of Sayulita and the bay (we were lucky enough to whale watch from the patio) and has beautiful tropical gardens that surround the property. It is located up on a hill a short walk from town away from the dust and noise. Tom is a gracious host and as "unofficial mayor" of Sayulita has a wealth of knowledge of all things local. Would definitely recommend to anyone and hope to be back soon.

I stayed here with three other couples and had a fantastic stay. The charm and attention to detail throughout the Villa was amazing. Tom, the owner, was excellent and couldn’t be more helpful both prior to and during our stay. The unexpected bonus was Pepe who will cook you delicious meals and serve up unbelievable margies… Although there are a few great restaurants in town (check out Chilli Rellenos) you can’t beat being waited over to perfection on your private patio and overlooking the Pacific. My only complaint is there is not a ton of interior lounging. It’s certainly adequate just not overflowing, but then again while in Mexico who wants to lounge around inside anyway.
