Quandary Vista is a four bedroom Breckenridge vacation rental that can accommodate a maximum of eight adults and ten with kids.
Quiet mountain chic best describe this beautiful four bedroom +, four and a half bath home situated in the serene expanse of the Rocky Mountains. Only seven miles from downtown Breckenridge and the Ski Resort, this home is ideal for those looking for luxury off the beaten path. Come escape from the mundane reality of everyday life and experience a true mountain getaway.
Walk into the bright and inviting entry with breathtaking views of Mt. Quandary enjoyed through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The living area opens to the wraparound deck exposing nothing but the crystal-clear blue sky and snow covered mountains. These amazing views can be appreciated from anywhere within the spacious room, whether you are cooking in the gourmet kitchen or dining on a delicious home cooked meal at the inlaid wooden dining table. After dinner watch as the sky darkens and the stars come alive while lounging on the plush leather couch. Or step outside and stargaze from the warmth of your private hot tub. This is truly a unique experience as there really is nothing else like it. Your views of Quandary are uninterrupted with the two lots next to you empty except for the small forest of nature pine. Take it all in and bask in the beauty of being alone in the magnificent outdoors.
When your fingers start to wrinkle and it’s time to go inside, end the night with a game of pool in the downstairs den or make your way into one of the four bedrooms. One is fun and cheerful with daisy yellow walls and two twin beds, perfect for sisters. The second stands alone as a mini-master outfitted with a queen bed, writing desk and couch. This room is adorned with true Colorado flair with wood skis and custom wool tapestries. The third bedroom is decorated with a minimalist touch allowing all to feel at home. To maximize space, a sitting room has been converted into a bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed comfortably sleeping three children. Last but certainly not least, upstairs, the master suite is outfitted with an elegant seating area and two full en suite baths. This home offers a little bit of everything so you must come see it for yourself to truly comprehend its unique beauty.
Quandary Vista is the quintessential home for those dreaming of the authentic Rocky Mountain experience. Embrace it all and delight in the privacy of being surrounded by acres of national forest and its untamed wildlife perfectly combined with stunning unobstructed views of Mt. Quandary plus all the luxuries you could hope for.

Over the weekend, I decided it was time to gather the bear family and head for the hills to a wintry retreat in Breckenridge, Colorado. Jack Frost was kind enough to pay us a visit upon our arrival, leaving the area with a fresh dusting of glistening powder. Bustling with skiers and boarders just off the slopes, the town was full of activity. There were many restaurants and shops in which to stop and stretch our weary legs from the car ride.
We continued our drive through Breckenridge, the small community of Blue River, (just south of the city) and up the mountainside to a beautiful mountain retreat fondly known as Quandary Vista. Upon entering Quandary Vista, the family was able to spread out for the weekend in the incredibly spacious living and dining room which was adjacent to the newly updated, full-service kitchen.
The wrap-around deck just off the living room provided us with beautiful, unobstructed views of Quandary Peak. Sitting at 14,265 ft., the majestic peak and its grandeur could not be missed through the massive floor-to-ceiling windows that surrounded the living room.
The cubs headed to the basement for the weekend and took claim to their very own territory in one of the four large bedrooms and two bathrooms. They took advantage of the pool table in the large common space and a few cubs soothed their sore muscles in the hot tub located just outside on the lower level deck.
We all fell in love with the secluded master bedroom which sat on the second level. The large, beautiful bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi tub added to the splendor of the large bedroom. It was a much appreciated retreat after a day of snow-shoeing!
Overall, this spacious home will leave you feeling warm and “fuzzy” with all the comforts of your own home and more.

Our stay at Quandary Vista from August 1st until August 8th , 2012 ,was wonderful. The house was spectacular and spotless. There was plenty of room for our large group. The office personnel were especially helpful and kind. Any needs we had were dealt with immediately. We loved Breckenridge as a town and as a great place to hike and enjoy nature at its best. Hopefully we will all be able to return at some time.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Cathy, Gerry, Katie, Eric, Greg, Ellen, Emily and Jeff had the time of our lives. We went skiing almost everyday while Cathy, Gerry and Jeff looked for a place for Jeff and Ellen's rehearsal dinner for this summer. We couldn't have asked for more!Did you find this review helpful? We enjoyed the spectacular view! Our stay was fun filled from the day we arrived till the morning we departed. Sunday was Peak 8 Fun Zone and shopping in Breck. Monday was a great adventure with a raft trip through the Brown Canyon! It was the first time for all and we'd definately do it again! Tuesday was a trip to Dillion Lake for fishing and Aimee caught her first trout. We drove over to Montgomery Res in the PM and enjoyed the great scenery. A side trip up to Blue Lake finished the day and we got caught in a thunderstorm. To add even more excitment, it hailed and sleeted. The accomadations were perfect and we had everything we neded for the Vacation! Thanks a bunch, Your Kansas FriendsDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Manager info
About: We are Pete and Imane and we own a small vacation lodging business called Book Breck Lodging. We manage several homes here in Breckenridge for second homeowners. The advantage of a small management company over renting directly from a homeowner or from a large resort is that we are on location and accessible. The best part of the job for us is that we get to meet people who also love Breckenridge or who are about to experience it for the first time. We each fell in love with this town because of the variety of things that it offers. It's a small town with a big personality. It offers the charm, quaintness and history typical of a small town, but combines the liveliness and variety of different fun and adventurous activities, high end restaurants and shopping, and year round community activities. It’s the perfect balance of two worlds that has created a laid back and fun place to be. We have yet to meet someone who hasn’t fallen under the Breckenridge spell! Sometimes we just talk to our guests on the phone. Sometime we’ll have a glass of wine with them and really get to know them. It depends on the guest and if they prefer privacy in their vacation home away from home, or if the have time to sit down with some locals. Either way, we want our guests to think of us as their friends in Breckenridge who they can come visit again and again.
Why Blue River:
A very common line around here is “we came for the winter and stayed for summer”. I can’t tell you how many “locals” say they came here to experience just one season of fun on the slopes before returning to the “real world”. Five, 10, 20 years later they’re still here! Some tried to leave and ended up coming back thinking that retirement was just too far off! Breckenridge is an adult's playground. With or without children, there are numerous activities and events to keep all ages happy.
