We had a wonderful time it felt so much like home we could cook and we could all eat at the table without being squashed. This condo is so peaceful and well organized it was just plain out cozy. This townhouse is great. We were very comfortable here. The grill on the porch worked well for preparing many meals. To our surprise, we woke up to snow one morning. We are from Florida and never expected snow in June. Yellowstone was beautiful. We liked Grand Prismatic Spring and the Canyon the best. We found the best place to see animals was Lamar Valley and out toward the Northeast entrance. We saw moose, black bears, bison, coyote, pronghorn, marmot, eagle, mountain goats and osprey. Lovely weather, lots of animals in the park-even saw momma black bear w/ 2 cubs! Crowds weren't too bad, hiking was good and the sights of Yellowstone were awesome. Condo worked well for us. No wonder you love living here in West Yellowstone. We loved our visit! The convenience of being "almost home" made our stay more pleasant than staying in a hotel room. You have your townhouse amazingly well-stocked for your guests. The art was gorgeous and the decorating is darling. As another guest mentioned, our younger daughters liked their own space downstairs. As the logistics coordinator for our 3 generation family VA-CA, I've gotten high marks! Your home has provided us perfect accomodations, with lovely decor for our daughter from Sacramento, CA, with her 14 yr old daughter & 12 yr old son, plus 2 additional grandchildren (12 yr old boy & 10 yr old girl) from our neck of the woods in Boise, ID. The boys loved having the (dark - smelly-ugh!) basement as their territory, girls upstairs at the head of the stairs & grandpa & I in the balcony bedroom! Plenty of room for all! W. Yellowstone has been a pleasant surprise, though we didn't have occasion to try local restaurants. Reheating previously prepared meals is my style. Yellowstone exceeded ALL our expectations!! Still hoping to see more wildlife on our way to Jackson today, but "up close & personal" encounters with bison the last 2 days has been fun! Nothing prepared us for their size! Or smell! We didn't get that close to anything that size living in Alaska for 5 yrs. Happily we were inside our suburban for that experience! About the owner: My husband and I met in the snowmobile season. We have lived in the area for 14 years and continue to love both the summer and winter seasons. West Yellowstone is a resort town at the West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We take advantage of the beautiful nature that surrounds us and visit the park regularly. The winter season finds us on the 300 miles of groomed snowmobile trails outside the park viewing wildlife, Mesa Falls and the magnificent views from Two Top Mountain.
Why the Owner Chose West Yellowstone:
We like being within walking distance of great food, shopping and entertainment, this Townhouse is approximate 3 blocks from it all. The City Park is 1 block away and Music in the Park on Friday nights in the summer makes a wonderful evening relaxing while kids play. Snowhill in the park is great for sledding by kids of all ages!
