This is a true gem, located minutes from the restaurants and entertainment of Eastsound, this oceanfront home was completely rebuilt in 2006 by one of Orcas Island's finest craftsmen. The property is situated at the northernmost point on Orcas Island with spectacular views of Vancouver and Whistler. Beautiful landscaping and a lounging garden right by the water create the perfect stargazing experience - you can count the shooting stars on a clear night!
The spectacular property features two separate homes in one. The upper floor is a three bedroom, two full bath home. There is also a deluxe leather queen size sofabed in front of large fireplace in the living room. Kitchen has the amenities of a complete gourmet kitchen, as well as a large dining room table and sitting bar. Lower unit is a totally separate unit with a second full kitchen, master suite with king bed and a second gas fireplace. This is a great space for extended family, etc. Very few properties feature this amenity. The home is furnished with authentic nautical and Pacific Northwest artwork.

Perfect home for a family get away

We stayed here with another family and the property was perfect. The home is lovely and there are so many things to do in the home and near by! We all biked to Sun River attactions during the day and enjoyed the ping pong, video games and hot tub in the evenings. The kitchen was a joy to work in--the best stocked vacation rental ever!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Beautiful setting and well appointed home. The two living spaces were a bonus. Only issues were the need for dish/satellite TV to replace cable company gone bankrupt and rather steep gravel driveway that was challenging to get up. Would definitely recommend this immaculate home with all the amenities that is great for a crowd.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our once a year family gathering was a lovely experience. The home we rented on Orcas Island exceeded expectations. We were able to gather for meals at a table large enough to seat us all comfortably and watch the sunsets from the deck with the most amazing view. Every comfort and convenience was available to us. We were not able to figure our the cable hook up and were glad to be rid of TV for the week. We are now on on the lookout for our next year's gathering place but this will be hard to top.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

My husband and I have stayed in this home more than once, and each time we are amazed at how thouroughly relaxing it is! The water below is so calming, the fireplaces so romantic, the furniture is beautiful and comfortable. The home has everything you could want, especially if you like to cook, like I do! I also visited with my sister-in-laws one weekend and they all found it equally tranquil!
