This circa 1904 historic romantic and elegantly remodeled boutique cottage is tucked away on Jenner’s oldest street with spectacular views of our private valley, charming formal French garden, Penny Island and the Russian River. The full property is perfect for two couples who want to share a home, but who also desire a measure of privacy in their sleeping arrangements. Our wonderfully furnished guest suites, one on each level, each have their own bedrooms, separate sitting rooms, newly renovated McIntyre tiled bathrooms, wood burning stoves, private decks and entrance way.
Artist’s View Suite, the upstairs accommodation, consists of one of the above described suites, a great room featuring a baby grand piano and dining area for eight. French doors open onto a spacious deck with an expansive view of the valley with a table for outside dining, a large wood burning stove, two day beds providing room for additional guests, a second full bath with a Japanese soaking tub for two overlooking the river, laundry room and a fully supplied country kitchen with all the modern conveniences. A five person hot tub is located on the side deck.
An exterior staircase leads to Painter’s Dream suite, where you can wake to the scent of a climbing rose caressing the windows and step down to the formal terraced garden. This intimate downstairs guest suite offers a queen size bed, a sitting room facing its own wood burning stove, large bathroom with shower, private deck and coffee maker.
Artist’s View and Painter’s Dream offer a quiet, relaxing and rejuvenating country experience in a luxuriously appointed boutique property. Enjoy coffee in the morning, wine and cheese in the afternoon and a brilliant showcase of stars at night from a choice of three decks... Sweeping views, a large and gorgeous garden, fabulous light, original artwork and eclectic furnishings provide an ambiance that will inspire a thoughtful and unique retreat for the artist in each one of our guests.
Well behaved dogs are ok. Our property is not appropriate for small children. The complete property sleeps four comfortably in two private suites and three baths. Two day beds in Artist’s View’s great room are available for an additional charge for extra guests. Maximum of six occupants.
The upstairs portion of the property (Artist's View)may be rented withour renting the downstairs. For one couple , this is an excellent option. Painter's Dream would be made unavailable and remain unoccupied. Renters at Artist's View, therefore, will be the only guests occupying the entire property.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1997
About the owner: We are both former businesspeople who are pursuing second careers in music. Our Jenner property has always been a source of inspiration and a wonderful retreat for us. We have a Welsh Corgi, Miles, who enjoys Jenner as much as we do!
Why the Owner Chose Jenner:
Jenner has been our second home since 1997.
When we bought it, it was a 1905 vintage home with great bones that needed some love. We fell in love with the wonderful views, proximity to the beach and river, and terrifc climate.
Over the years we have remodeled it completely, renovating all the living areas and added a formal french garden. We have added three decks and three wood stoves, a grand piano and as a result, it is a perfect retreat for the artist and romantic in all of us.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our home is located in the quaint village of Jenner, and it is a short walk to the local coffee shop and kayak rental facility.
A five minute drive will take you to the ocean, and it is very easy to explore all the wonderful beaches. Our street is the oldest street in Jenner, and is tucked away alongside several other historic properties that overlook the Russian River and coastal canyon. It is very quiet with no road noise, and is located in Jenner's 'banana belt', with less fog and more sunshine than most coastal locations.
We also enjoy the Russian River Wine Road, which takes one through some of the best small wineries in Sonoma County, and ends in Healdsburg. Kayaking, canoeing, and hiking the Sonoma County park system are all other activities we enjoy.
