We just returned from a one week stay, great time had by all. The beds were very comfortable, better than any hotel we've ever stayed in. I like that this house has actual beds and none of the sleeper sofas that many rentals count as sleeping space. Ocean Lakes is extremely busy in July but everyone is friendly and there are many things to do. The house is new, very nice and very quiet inside and the kitchen is well stocked with anything you may need for cooking or grilling. A few nights we just sat out on the porch and relaxed. Golf carts are available for rent but we walked to the beach in the morning and in the afternoon I just drove to the beach and picked up our people and beach gear so we didn't rent a golf cart. Ocean Lakes has indoor and outdoor pools and a nice little store with a place to eat (pizza and snacks); everything you need in one place. Super Walmart is 5 minutes away and very convenient. Everything about the rental was very organized and smooth; we were in the house hooked to the internet in a matter of minutes (I had to work a few hours during the week so it was important that I had a good internet connection). The owner is friendly and very easy to work with. We live in NC so we are in Myrtle Beach a few times a year.

I just wanted to say that this was an excellent property. The photos look exactly like the property. It had more than enough space for my 9 family members. It has flat screen and dvd's in every room. The beach is only a short walking distance. I would recommend that you rent a golf cart to see the full scenery of the gated community, but you can use your car to get around in. The gated community has 3 pools, a playground, basketball court and others. The house had everything we needed and more. Excellent.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Just returned from a weeks stay here, and I would definately recommend this property. This house is decorated BEAUTIFULLY wth plenty of space for everyone and modern amenities like flat panel tv's in every bedroom. We were close enough to walk to the beach. Kitchen had everything we needed, and the deck was nice and had plenty of seating to hang out.The owner was helpful through the whole process and easy to communicate with. Our family hated to leave, and would definately stay here again. Thanks again for making our week at the beach so wonderful!!
