Casita Vista de Yates a completely furnished, private luxury home for two adults or a small family. It is exquisitely appointed and landscaped. This beautiful 1 BR/1.5 BA home has tiled floors throughout and a complete kitchen. The water supply is equipped with a new water purification and pressure system. On the front deck is a small dipping pool for cooling off and in the yard is a large area for lounging and enjoying the tropical gardens. The bedroom, overlooking the ocean/marina has a king size bed with foam mattress topper and luxury linens. Internet access is available. The grounds are walled and gated for your privacy and security.
Maid service is included once a week or more often for a small fee. From the moment you step through the door into Casita Vista de Yates, you will feel the warm welcome of Mexico. Enjoy the view of the marina, sailboats, and bay and see the lights of PV by night.
We will have a second casita, Palapa Vista de Yates, a large studio apartment with beautiful view of the Marina and Bay, brand new -- available now.
In La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, you can enjoy the ambiance of a small Mexican village with small shops, markets, and traditional taco stands. English is widely spoken. First class restaurants, like the new La Cruz Yacht Club, Frascati's Italian Restaurant, and The Black Forest Restaurant are available too. Activities abound in this area and PV -- fishing, snorkeling, diving, beach walking, shopping, jet skis, canopy tours, swimming with the dolphins, dancing and nightlife. Choose to be active or just relax around the pool.
Getting to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle: La Cruz is about 14 miles from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, but getting to La Cruz is easy. Dennis & Adam, at Gecko Rent a Car, in Bucerias, will pick you up at the airport and deliver you and your car to our doorstep. Their prices are much more reasonable than the traditional Rental Car agencies at the airport. All prices include taxes and insurance -- no extra fees. If you prefer you can take a taxi from the airport or let us know in advance and we can arrange for a pick up.
What more could anyone ask for? Perhaps someone to prepare a meal for two occasionally... We feel privileged to have found a local Senora who will buy the food, come to your rental, and prepare a delicious meal for you. La Senora has an extensive menu of dishes she will prepare for your dining pleasure -- or, if you prefer, one of your own favorites. The cost for her services for a dinner for two is very reasonable. To secure the services of the Senora, please contact the local owner/property manager for details. Of course, for a busy lady like the Senora, a two-day advance notice to allow her to shop for the best buys is appreciated. We also have a certified masseuse available who will come to Casita with all her equipment to spoil and relax you with one of life's great pleasures -- a one-hour therapeutic massage. The local Property Manager can schedule a session for you at your convenience. Just mention that you are interested in a massage when you arrive.
Our Property Manager has an office in La Cruz, only 3 minutes away, and she is available 24/7 to help you out should you need assistance.

Year Purchased: 2008
Your "Home in La Cruz" owners are Charlie and Linda Higgins. We were born and raised in the Seattle, Washington area and have lived there our entire lives. We raised our family of 4 children in Seattle. We found on our numerous visits to Mexico that we loved the Puerto Vallarta area and we finally found our dream home in La Cruz. After our retirement, we bought Casa Vista de Yates so we could enjoy winters in the awesome Banderas Bay area and summers in beautiful Lake Chelan, WA, where we reside now.
Why the Owner Chose La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
As soon as we walked through the doors of Casa Vista de Yates, we loved it. We love the traditional mexican architecture and ambiance. Looking out from the deck area we were entranced by the activities at the marina and the gorgeous view of the Bay of Banderas. We just can't believe that we can get up every morning and have coffee overlooking that wonderful view. The friendliness and quaint feeling of the village of La Cruz further convinced us that we should be here. The village of La Cruz is small and welcoming, AND it has some awesome places to eat and listen to music. There are always things to do and another beach to discover here.

Staying at our property you will enjoy being RELAXED and REFRESHED. The large pool is beautiful to look at and refreshing to be in. Our back yard is relaxing with beautiful tropical gardens and flowers. The view is one of the best in the world. The town of La Cruz is welcoming and friendly with lots of great restaurants and bars with music from around the world. The local fishermen sell their fresh fish daily in the marina. There are people from all around the world here who sail into the marina and enjoy the ambiance of La Cruz. There are fantastic beaches in every direction. We love it here -- Can you tell???

A last minute find on VRBO that more than met our expectations. All the good reviews are absolutely true. The property is beautiful, well kept and very clean.. The property manager immediately responded to any request and arranged transportation for us.Our driver spoke excellent English and even took us to the ATM and grocery store. Our first morning we found Anna Banana's (just 2 blocks) for breakfast and met a lively group of ex-pats who were friendly, helpful, and most enjoyable. The bus stop is a short walk. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to flavor a small fishing village. The fish market provided excellent shrimp. The Marina is a great place to walk.

We were lucky enough to be able to stay at the Palapa in January for a week. We found it at the last minute on VRBO and it was everything that we had hoped for. We had plenty of room for the two of us.....and the view was absolutely amazing. I must confess that my husband had a hard time convincing me to get out of the dipping pool....with the view and a good book....why move ?? The property was immaculate and exactly as it was described. Everyone was wonderful to deal with, from Linda to Patty to our very special driver. We will be back.

We stayed in the casita in January for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The casita was clean and very comfortable and the bed was almost as nice as ours at home! We so enjoyed our morning coffee and breakfasts on the patiio and having the dipping pool for a quick escape from the hot sun was a real bonus. Linda and Charlie were great hosts and we especially loved meeting Ellie the Schnauzer. The fish market and beach are literally across the parking lot and we could walk wherever we liked without need of a car. If you really want to get away from it all and just rest and relax, this little escape will fill the bill!

I stayed at the Casita for 2 months with my children and dog. We absolutely adored the place, it is clean, quiet and we were always well taken care of by the owners and the property manager, Patty. If you go to Cruz, you MUST stay at this casita. It is fantastic, not one bad thing to say about it.

Stop and look no further! Casita Vista De Yates has it all! My husband and I enjoyed several wonderful nights in the studio casita. We also had a chance to view the one bedroom and the main house and found them to be beautifully furnished with all the amenities you could possibly want. The property is tropically landscaped and beautifully maintained. We jacuzzied, swam in the pool, enjoyed incredible views of the bay and marina and enjoyed many wonderful meals at nearby restaurants. The studio casita is perfect for two and the entire property would be a wonderful location for extended family reunions, weddings, etc. As you can tell we loved it. We will be back! Thank you!

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in the new upstairs apartment at Casita Vista de Yates last month and we are dreaming of a return visit already. Although there were no pictures available of the new casita when we booked our trip, we were pleasantly surprised by the layout of the casita, the great atmosphere, and the beautiful view of the marina and skyline. We enjoyed many hours sitting in our private plunge pool overlooking the marina, cooking meals in the well-appointed kitchen, and lounging in the comfortable apartment. The upstairs casita that we rented is a studio; the space, however, is so roomy that it feels much more luxurious than an hotel room. Casita Vista de Yates is set on a hill up above the marina in a quiet part of town. It is the perfect place for a relaxing, romantic getaway. The center of La Cruz is a short walk away...along the marina or through the residential roads. La Cruz is a nice mix of local families and retired gringos. There are a number of good restaurants and its central location makes for an easy bus ride or drive to many beautiful beaches and cool little towns. We really enjoyed the hospitality that Linda and Charlie extended. I felt like we were visiting friends from home! They have pride in their property and keep everything beautiful and immaculate. We would certainly recommend Casita Vista de Yates to anyone looking for a relaxing home away from home.

We just returned from 16 glorious days at Casita Vista de Yates! The pictures and descriptions were absolutely accurate. The owners Charles & Linda were fabulous and very accommodating. They even took us to "Tacos on the Street" one night and were very helpful with sightseeing information. We had a car and spent a lot of time exporing the area . The nearby beach (10 minute drive)was made extra special because of the beach chairs that were available for our use. A car is a bonus but if you are able to walk, the bus system is very good and/or you can get basic necessities in town with a short walk. We did most of our own cooking and used the gas bar-b-q nearly every night. The kitchen was adequately stocked for our needs. The breezes blow in nicely and we never used the air-conditioning once. It was wonderful to wake up to the view of the marina and ocean every morning. We walked down to the marina (33 steps and a parking lot to the marina) and purchased fresh seafood at prices not available in Canada! If you don't need to be in the centre of "activity", want some peace and tranquility away from the crowds, Casita Vista de Yates is a wonderful choice. We would recommend this casita to any couple looking for a home away from home--short or long term!

We really enjoyd our stay at this lovely little house. It was a nice cozy place to hide away in, but yet when we wanted to see Mexico, it was right outside our gate! The house and yard were very well maintained, and the owners became our friends! They were so nice to work with, and they gave us lots of information about the attractions close by, which we enjoyed seeing! Thank you Charlie and Linda for your wonderful hospitality!
