This cottage met all of my expectations! It was clean, comfy, secluded , had open space, views, a large deck where you could enjoy the beauty of your surroundings and much more. It also was fully stocked with everything you possibly could need. We are planning on returning when the weather is warmer. Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We loved our stay at Morning Glory Cottage. The photos were accurate -- if anything, the cottage was even nicer in person. It was a perfect size for two and our dog. Every room was clean and bright and we loved the high ceilings -- made the cottage seem spacious. With wine waiting for us and generous breakfast makings in the fridge and freezer (it was enough for two mornings for us), it was like our own private b&b at a very good price. Julie was wonderful to deal with and we would definitely stay here again. We loved the quiet location that's close to Langley and Freeland. Be sure to stop at Greenbank Farms' Whidbey Pies Cafe for lunch. The quinoa salad was amazing!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the Cottage and I hope you come back.

We came to the island to visit family for Christmas and found the Morning Glory Cottage the perfect little get away. It was just right sized for 2 adults but accompanied family and children for a pizza night just fine. It is fully equipped with a full kitchen, a cute little fireplace, gorgeous view, privacy and was decently priced. Oh yeah....and the shower! It was everything and more. We definitely plan on staying here again when we return to the island. Thanks Julie!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Julie has a great little cottage, well outfitted kitchen, and cozy living space. We had a great time exploring Langly, going for a trail run at a local state park with our dog, and relaxing in front of the fire. The Christmas decorations were much appreciated for our holiday mini-vacation and the breakfast fixings and wine made for a nice surprise! Such a nice escape from Seattle for a few days. Thanks so much!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the kind words. The Cottage isn't a fancy, stuffy home, but it's warm, cozy and relaxing. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves. Julie

My husband and I have visited many VRBO properties, and this place is right up there with our favorites! Everything you need - it's there. It's clean, nicely decorated, cozy, and quiet. We were so pleased to find such a nice little get away so close to home. We also enjoyed the small town of Langley. Good food, nice shops, and many hiking trails in the area. We highly recommend this place, and will be back again! Thanks, JulieRecommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We enjoyed staying at Morning Glory Cottage so much earlier this year that we planned another visit. Once again, our dog accompanied us. This neighborhood is lovely, quiet, and friendly to visitors. This time we planned meals in advance and brought food with us to cook for breakfast and dinner - which says much about the cooking utensils and ease of cooking in this cottage's kitchen! It is so comfortable here; this cottage has become the standard by which all other VRBOs are measured!! I highly recommend a visit.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were tremendously pleased with our stay a Morning Glory. A very cozy cottage with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. No need to bring anything for the kitchen, the bed is extremely comfortable, there is a BBQ and the house is impeccably clean and well appointed. The location is perfect, close to a nice beach -- access takes a bit of walk, but worth it when you get there -- and close to the island's nicest town, Langley, which has some solid restaurants, a movie theater, interesting shops and an art gallery to browse. Go and enjoy!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We were at the cottage for one week and enjoyed every minute. The cottage is exactly as described only cuter! We especially appreciated the breakfast that was left for us. We cooked it the night we arrived as we were starved! The wine and chocolates was most appreciated. The towels are huge and soft, the shower is a wonder to behold and the bed and linens were very comfortable. We used the deck in the afternoons as the weather was great. There was a lot of local information in a binder that directed us to cafes and things to see and do. Thank you, Julie, for sharing your home with us.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This small, well-designed cottage is a great place to recharge after workweek stress. It was spotless, and the equipped kitchen was easy to cook in for the weekend. It's a great base for exploring the island, then coming back to relax and have dinner. We very much appreciate being able to travel with our dog, who also felt immediately at home at Morning Glory Cottage. By the way, great birding here, too!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here two nights with our two labs and it was a charming and comfortable retreat! It is positioned at the very end of a quiet street with a small wooded area on one side and only a few visible neighbors. The neighborhood is updated, beachy, and has a very safe and friendly appeal. There is a small side yard (un-fenced) for the dogs and a large wrap around deck with great views! Inside, the house is small, but has a lot of large windows to make it feel open, and is very comfortable for two. The updated finishes are nice and there are hard wood floors throughout with rugs to soften it up. We loved the convenience of breakfast fixings to start our morning (it was actually plenty for 2-3 mornings) and were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine and fresh flowers upon our arrival. The cottage is only 5-10 minutes from Langley and 15 minutes to Freeland, so it is in a convenient location to go out for dinner, explore the local shops, go to the beach, or take a hike through the trails nearby! Overall, the cottage was lovely and we would happily stay there again. If this is your first time to Whidbey Island, we would suggest planning your arrival and departure times with thought. Since this is only accessible by ferry, you are at the mercy of the traffic during a particular time of day, so make sure you bring plenty of patience as the wait time may be a bit extreme!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
