  My wife and dog and I spent three days out at the cottage on craig and had a great time. They have a great full kitchen for cooking, as well as a charcoal grill and a fire pit. We ended up cooking on the fire pit most the time while looking out at the river. They have a great setup right at that water that you can look out on from the great front room which also has multiple bedding options and sliding doors all with screens so you can really take in the nature. We also took advantage of the great hiking trails nearby. The closest one had a bunch of creek crossings and great views only 3 miles from the house. Then the next one only (five miles away) was even better with great waterfalls you can walk right up on. They also have canoes and kayaks right at the cabin for you to use. We would highly recommend staying out at the cabin. There is really no downside.

  We had a wonderful time at Cottage on Craig. Adjectives to describe C on C: peaceful, beautiful, calm, warm, welcoming, fun, perfect, great, fantastic, don't-want-to-leave. In essence, we loved it and hope to come back soon.

  We had the fortune of staying at the Cottage at Craig this past February 2013. We had a great time hiking, sitting by the fire, and relaxing the in the screened in porch. We will definitely be going back in the summer to kanoe!

  I cannot begin to laud Mitch and Bobbie enough for their hospitality. They enthusiastically greeted us upon our arrival and showed us around. They had their signature plate of fresh cookies, not to mention the well-constructed fire waiting for our use. I had a stupid grin on my face during the entire meeting. The cottage is secluded on all sides and, aside from a handful of canoes or kayakers that may float by, you won't encounter another person. As long as you stockpile enough food (they have the ingredients for S'mores!), there's no reason to leave the area except to find a hiking trail. If you're into private relaxation in the woods that is a far cry from camping, this place is ideal. It's rare for us to think that we'd return to the exact spot twice because we love new experiences, but I think my boyfriend and I will likely give the Cottage on Craig another visit in the near future.

  My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Cottage on Craig Creek. We had a wonderful time sitting by the fire, hiking, and spending time on the wonderful porch. The cabin is well equipped and the owner's are wonderful. We are hoping to come back in the spring/summer and bring our children.

  It was absolutely adorable! Loved the decor as well as the charming setting! Such a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the peace and quiet, and be thankful for all of our blessings! Thank you so much for letting us use the cabin.

  We came to the place to relax and get away from everything and it truly was relaxing. The owners had wood available for the fire pit and we cooked our food on the campfire every night. We just had to get the kindling which was not a problem with all the woods around us. Floating in the river, using the canoe and kayak our entire family was able to do their own thing. My 23 year old son had so much fun fishing he did not want to leave, but none of us wanted to go home. I could live at Cottage on Craig creek. The only recommendation I have is to build some type of boat retrieval to get the canoe and kayak up to the main hill. Nothing fancy some type of pulley. The decor of the place was exactly as advertised, comforting and down to earth. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes the outdoors. The owners had fresh baked cookies and a pecan pie ready for us in the fridge when we arrived. They were very friendly and available if we needed them. We loved the place so much that we have already reserved it for our family for next year.

  A couple of freinds and I needed a break from the hustle and bustle of our busy working lives and my wife found and the Cottage on Craig for us on VRBO. What a geat place! We were greeted by the owners with a fabulous pecan pie and fresh picked tomatoes! We enjoyed everything there was to offer including fishing, kayaking, canoeing, tubing and relaxing by a fire. Our hosts provided much more than we expected and will know to pack lighter next time. I can't wait to return with my family!

  My husband and I after three years decided to take a much needed vacation with our two dogs and we could not have picked a better place to visit. Bobbie and Mitch were super kind and we could not have felt more at home. We stayed the entire time sleeping in the sunroom and waking up to the beautiful scenery ! Our dogs enjoyed playing in the creek and we enjoyed tubing and kayaking then relaxing in the evening by a wonderful fire already set for us when we arrived ! And let's not forget the yummy pecan pie that greeted us upon arrival ! Thank you for making our vacation a wonderful wonderful visit !!

  This cabin is like home away from home!! It is absolutely beautifully decorated and has all of the accommodations that anyone could want or need and is extremely clean!! There are lots of outdoor activities including hiking, floating the creek or just sitting back and relaxing. I would recommend this cabin to anyone that loves the outdoors and the sleeping porch is just a great added extra!!
