I just got home from staying 11 nights in this paradise of a home and town. I have used VRBO many many times and this is by far the most well appointed home we have ever stayed in. We cooked 6 nights, and breakfast almost every day and there was nothing that we needed. The beds and bedding are out of this world. The porches and decks are just hard to leave. The location is just as amazing. We walked to downtown Manitou for our other meals, shopping, and just people watching. We took short drives to Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Gold Camp Road, Helen Hunt Falls, etc. We also day tripped from there to Twin Lakes, Independence Pass road, Eleven Mile Canyon and Reservoir, and even went to concert in Denver one night. The flat driveway (which is rare) and the spacious downstairs living and bedroom areas make it accessible enough for elderly or handicapped. I cannot say enough great things about this property and really want to thank the owners for the opportunity of staying there. We will be back later this summer if it is available. If you are planning a trip to anywhere near Colorado Springs, this is the place to stay.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This house is fantastic! My husband and I stayed here in March and it couldn’t have been better. The house owners are very accommodating and even had a fresh batch of cookies waiting on us and a gift certificate to The Keg. The rooms are very spacious and the kitchen was very well stocked with just about everything you need to cook. The back porch area was beautiful. You have a great view of Pikes Peak and the Manitou Incline. Very very close to Manitou Springs. It is only a five minute block to the downtown area. The house is close to I-25 if you want to get to Colorado Springs in a jiffy. The house is also close to hiking. You can even walk to a few of the trails from the house. Recommend: Manitou Incline and Williams Canyon. If you want to go out of town drive to Divide to do the Rainbow Mountain Trail. They even shipped us items we left in the house that we bought downtown. A definite place to stay if going to Colorado Springs! If we ever come back to Colorado Springs I know we will want to stay here again! Thanks again for such a great place!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My stay was very comfortable and welcoming. The home was clean and had all you need to make it your home away from home. You are able to walk into the town of Manitou and enjoy the shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and the atmosphere that only Manitou can give!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you so much for accommodating our living needs on such a short notice! This is a hidden gem - literally downtown Manitou, yet secluded and quiet in a wooded setting. The modern finishes and appliances are wonderful and make us feel at home. We love the eat-in kitchen, large bedrooms, and large outdoor decks. We've had many furry visitors to watch out the large windows. We came here on adverse conditions, being out of our home due to a fire, but staying here has made everything easier. Thank you so much! p.s. If anyone is looking to stay in Colorado Springs - I'd highly consider coming here instead. It's worth the 10 minute drive.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Our time in Manitou would not have been the same if we'd stayed anywhere else; this cottage was PERFECT for our honeymoon! From the rustic-welcoming feel to the actual rock the home was built upon, we were totally blown away! This was our first time using VRBO and we were amazed by the hospitality we were shown, not to mention the quality of our stay! From outside to in, everything in the listing was just as described and the details made this place better than we could have imagined! We would recommend this rental to friends, family, or anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, and are hoping to return ourselves in the near future! Things to check out during your stay in Manitou: Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, a drive to Pike's Peak, Adam's Mountain Cafe, The Stagecoach Inn and Restaurant, and the Heart of Manitou Spa.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This home was beyond our expectations. The pictures are exactly what we arrived to and we were allowed to come a little earlier and were greeted by the owner with a voucher to a local place for a meal since she didn't get a chance to bake us cookies for our arrival. The towels were amazing and got me to go out and change out mine at home. This town was just a place we saw driving by from the highway on our road trip and decided we had to check it out. We found this wonderful home and enjoyed it tremendously. The owners are wonderful and very easy to work with. If we ever come back we would for sure stay here again. THANK YOURecommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My family stayed here during Parent's Weekend at the Air Force Academy. What we loved was that it was close enough to the academy for the various events that weekend but it also felt completely removed from the greater Colorado Springs area (my son wanted to get away!). The house was delightful--updated with modern amenities, a well-stocked kitchen, and overall very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed spending time on the back deck--it was absolutely fabulous! The owners were so easy to deal with and very accommodating--we arrived rather late on Thursday evening and they had left light snacks and drinks for us. Much appreciated after a long day of travel! The town of Manitou Springs is right down the street--we enjoyed walking in, browsing the shops, and a fun dinner at The Keg! We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family stayed at this property and absolutely loved it. We have three teenagers and even though it's only a two bedroom house, everybody had a place to sleep. The house was newly renovated, and has everything you need to cook, clean and do your laundry. They even had books to read and a nice DVD collection. Outside, there is a very nice 3 level patio with great views and a gas BBQ. We were sitting outside one evening and three mule deer walked right on the patio with us. Downtown Manitou is within walking distance which was nice also. Whenever we make it back to Manitou, we will definitely try to get this house again.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

I visited this property when I was in Manitou Springs for a long weekend this past July. It is very cute and comfortable, and the owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! Don't be deterred by the lack of reviews - the owners have recently purchased the property and it is new to VRBO. This is a great place to spend your vacation – it’s within walking distance to the shops and restaurants on Manitou Avenue, and has a beautiful deck to enjoy the view of Pike's Peak.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
