A trip to Hot House Creek cabin is relaxation at its best. The namesake creek is a beautiful wide stream—the sound of its rushing water dominates the environment from the moment you get out of the car until you reluctantly get back in to end your vacation. My friends and I spent most of our time on the deck reveling in the sound. The recent addition of a hot tub only makes that experience even more blissful, especially at night. There is also an outdoor heater and gas grill on the deck so you can fully enjoy all of this in any season. Additionally, there is a nearby firepit for the perfect s’more and roasted hot dog. Inside there are ample accommodations for a group—we were a band of six and had our own beds and minimal bathroom sharing with two large lavatories, one upstairs and the other down. The cabin was recently renovated to allow for more guests and comfort. The kitchen is fully supplied with all the cooking gear you will need to have wonderful group meals. A gas fireplace sets the perfect indoor evening atmosphere for conversation, music, games—whatever your pleasure. Between the fireplace and the gas heater peaceful sleep was had by all—I opened the upstairs door slightly so I could continue enjoying the sounds of the Creek throughout the night. There are lots of wonderful options nearby for any interest. We loved hiking on the Appalachian Trial near Noontootla Creek and Long Falls as well as wandering through the charming town of Blue Ridge. You can also catch the Blue Ridge Railway downtown for a beautiful trip through the surrounding countryside. Mercer Orchards is a short drive for every type of apple product imaginable. The cabin is also close enough to the Ocoee River for paddlers and rafters to enjoy a full day on the river. Perhaps not as scenic but nonetheless essential is a new nearby Engel's Grocery for everything you need for the perfect stay. Believe me, once you stay in Hot House Creek cabin you will want to return during all seasons to enjoy everything it and the surrounding area has to offer!Did you find this review helpful? Good place. Very secluded location. Great back porch and hot tub. Right on the creek. Would be quite nice in the summer I would presume. Town of Blue Ridge is also worth visiting. Very nice downtown, and I recommend the Blue Ridge Brewery.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Had a wonderful time at Hot House Catch N Release cabin, time seemed to stand still while relaxing on the deck overlooking the creek. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fishing, no luck catching anything though. I would also recommend bringing bottled water for drinking, they don't call the area Mineral Springs for nothing.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for your positive comments. I am very glad you enjoyed your stay. Please visit again. The best fishing in that creek is May. We stock every year April/May.
