- This house was everything we had hoped it would be. Very clean and neat- all the comforts of a home away from home. The only thing missing was a potato peeler and when I told the caretaker - the very next day she brought one over to the house for us ! It was really a pleasure to stay at this property. thank you

This house was so elegantly decorated. When I first walk in, it truly captured the whole style of shore living. THe place was extremely cozy, confortable and accomadating. The entire family loved the stay as we already booked again fro next year. THe house is conveniently located to beach, bay, shopping, Point Pleasant Boardwalk, and Seaside Boardwalk. We are soo forward looking to our stay again next year...

I have to concur with the positive sentiments of previous reviewers. House was beatifully maintained, clean, and comfortable. Owners were very easy to deal with, as was the property manager. Yes, its a walk to the beach or the bay...but not far or strenous unless you really have a mobility problem. Very quiet neighborhood...you can hear rte 35 traffic, but not to the point of keeping you awake. This was our first time renting a house...didn't think to bring toilet paper, paper towel, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, fabric softener etc...but A+P two miles south was easy enough to buy those things. It was my wife and I, and our two kids. It does sleep six with the pull out couch, but that would make it a little 'cozy'--we thought of inviting my mother for the trip, glad we didn't! Easy 2-3 mile drive to Seaside Heights/Park, if you want kids activities. A little longer (20-30 minutes) to Point Pleasant Beach/Jenkinsons Amusement Park. Highlight within Lavalette was Music Man Cafe. Nice bagel store right at the end of the block. We would definitely stay here again."

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Jersey shore. We were there in June 2008. The house was close to everything we needed, a short walk to the beautiful beach. The beach was well maintained and very clean. We especially enjoyed the sunsets on the Bay side which we could see from the house. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint and we were able to enjoy our walks in the evening. In the morning I was able to go running.. The house is well maintained and cleaned which was important for my husband since he suffers from allergies...

My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. We love the fact it was a few blocks from the beach ( with beach passes ) - all of the stores, boardwalk and night life is right around the corner. Very convenient, overall. The kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms were very well maintained, the house was a dream to stay in. In addition to the great property, and near by activites, the owners were an absolute delight to deal with. Our experience was very enjoyable.

I stayed at this home in the summer of 2008. This home is 2 houses away from Rt 35 and very noisy at night. The house is really 2 blocks from the ocean since it is at the end of the block. The owners keep advertising the home as a new home, but it was renovated a few years ago, 2005 I believe, and it really isn't well maintained. The rugs are cheap and dirty. The LR furniture is old and uncomfortable. The kitchen stools are old and uncomfortable. There is little storage space for clothing. The patio is very small with no room for children to play. The staircase going in and out makes cooking outdoors an inconvenience and a nuisance. This house is very overpriced.
Owner response:Sorry to see this tenant was unhappy. We do everything in our power to help our clients have a great vacation. And we always encourage tenants to check out the home before they book it... In fact, every room is pictured here so there are no surprises. That said, we are a bit puzzled by this review because the tenant emailed us immediately after her vacation, saying we had a "lovely home." The tenant certainly has a right to change her mind, but there are some inaccuracies in this review... For one, the house is new. It was completely demolished and rebuilt - except for one interior wall (to keep from being taxed as "new" construction). As the pictures show, this home was rebuilt, is new, and in our humble opinion, looks great... Plus, we spend a lot of time and money maintaining it. For instance, all the carpeting was replaced in 2008 and it looks like new. We are painting the deck in May, 2011. We love this home and always try to make it look beautiful... Concerning the furniture - the kitchen now has new, cushioned swivel stools; and the LR has a nice, soft, pull-out sofa bed (see pictures)... As far as location - we are in the middle block between the ocean and bay. We are closer to the bay side, but to get to the ocean you have to cross one street. It is a very short walk to the beach... The size of the home, patio and lots are all the same in this area, except for homes right on the water (which are three times more expensive to rent). If a tenant is looking for a place for the kids to run around, we suggest using the sand playground about 75 yards away on Harbor Drive... As far as price, we hope tenants look around to find the best deal. Please do. You will find our prices are less expensive than other comparable new homes in the area... We turn away dozens and dozens of possible tenants every year because we are always booked full. And we have many repeat tenants who love this home... We do remember this tenant lost her wedding band while staying at the home, so perhaps that is what spoiled her stay. Either way, we are sad she was not happy in the end. We do the best we can to make everyone's vacation a joyful one.

I grew up spending 1 or 2 weeks every summer in Ocean Beach. I couldn't wait to take my family starting this year for the same experience. The house is excellent. Location couldn't be better. Very clean and new. Deck space appears much larger than all other house in the surrounding area. Dealing with the owners was more than pleasant. We will definately consider renting the house again for next summer....and probably for a longer time period.
