Hillhaven is an Arts and Crafts-style vacation home located just a short block from the historic village of Glen Ellen with its fabulous restaurants, wineries, and Jack London State Park. It resembles Frank Lloyd Wright architecture with over-sized windows, dark-wood siding, high-beamed ceilings, and non-proportional angles.
Located high on a hill, Hillhaven is the perfect vacation setting for a couple, friends or family who seek a private retreat in nature, right in the heart of beautiful sonoma county. The property is situated on over two and one-half acres populated with beautiful California Oaks, Madrones, citrus, and olive trees, a small vineyard, lily pond, birds, deer, and other wildlife.
This property can sleep up to eight guests comfortably. There are two bedrooms in the main house which share a full bathroom. One bedroom features a king-size bed and the other bedroom has a queen-size bed and daybed with trundle. The newly remodled bathroom has two sinks and a large two person shower with multi jets. There is a well-equipped kitchen, separate dining room in the main house, and a spacious living room with a sofa bed.
A semi-detached private 3rd bedroom suite sleeps an additional two guests with a queen-size bed, small bath, and small kitchenette. (This 3rd bedroom suite is an option for groups larger than 4 guests or those that want access to the 2nd bathroom during their stay.)
The decor is elegant and cozy with furnishings in the Arts and Crafts tradition.
The home is open and spacious with a view of both the Sonoma Mountains and the Mayacamas. There is a large stone and copper fireplace in the living room that is perfect for cozying up with a good port on a cool summer or winter night. A private hot tub on the patio lends a beautiful view of the lush hillsides. The perfect haven to explore the wine country...

Property is everything it's advertised as being - very private on own hill. I did miss not having a dishwasher but luckily most of the fam were at Deer Hill for T-giving so did dishes there. The location is beautiful & I especially loved to end each day relaxing in the hot tub... I would definitely recommend this for a group of six.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
