Everything about this place was perfect, start to finish. The space was gorgeous, the amenities were ideal for our family, and the hosts were incredibly thoughtful. We take an annual trip to the area and can’t wait to stay again!
This property is a gem. Inside and out we so enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a family gathering. Our hosts were easy to work with and we look forward to another stay.
Home was lovely and very relaxing atmosphere. Owner was very accommodating and would highly recommend this home to others. The restaurants in town are phenomenal! Thank you for making our family celebration memorable.
Awesome house in a beautiful secluded area. Kitchen had all the amenities to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner. House was well suited for a family gathering. We’d love to come back in warm weather and fully enjoy the pool, bbq and beautiful outdoor grounds. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend, enjoying the tranquility of Glen Ellen, local restaurants and hiking in Jack London park.
This house was just perfect for our family to enjoy! Thank you!
A beautifully maintained property (inside and out), that made us feel immediately welcome and relaxed. The small town location was full of character but still had quality restaurants. We wanted quiet and relaxing, private and contemporary and this property delivered - best we have ever rented anywhere, a perfect vacation - leaving was so hard, should have booked longer! Thank you.

Please come again and stay longer! Thank you for your rental...
The property is quiet, heavily wooded, most mornings only the birds. The house is comfortable, seems larger than the photos suggest. The 4’ deep pool would be safe for kids, yet deep enough to be swimmable. No complaints worth documenting. The host manager communicates quickly. We would return.
I have been a Vrbo renter for over a decade and I would have to say this might be the best North American property I've ever stayed in. We were a group of three couples and the accomodation couldn't have been more perfect - everyone with their own rooms with ensuite, large well equipped kitchen and great outdoor spaces and gardens. Excellent dining (and groceries) a short walk away. Everything was simply perfect - including the hosts who were welcoming and easy to contact.
Stayed for a week for girls wine trip. Can’t wait to return - lovely gardens and beautiful home. Well appointed kitchen. Walking distance to charming town. Pool is wonderful. Thank you for the hospitality!
Exceptional Property for Relaxing Family Gathering
Our family loved this beautiful and relaxing property. The layout allowed for indoor gatherings for meals and games, while ensuring everyone could have a feeling of privacy at the start and end of the day. There were multiple outdoor areas for meals that had beautiful views, yet the property still felt completely private. We agree with all of the positive comments from the previous reviewers, especially that the pictures can't do this home justice.
Three grown children and spouses one with baby and 12 yo
We all had plenty of space to ourselves and wonderful space for meals and being together
Setting is very peaceful and landscaping beautiful
Location works for us
Well stocked house
Check-in was so easy and the kitchen was fabulous! Perfect for making meals and the central location made for a wonderful community feel. The pictures online don't do it justice as the property is even more spacious and beautiful in-person. From the amenities that make it so easy to drop in and be in vacation mode, to the design of the home that is beautifully done and looks like it is out of a magazine. The the layout was perfect for our family of 6, and the outdoor area felt secluded and spacious with a pool heated to the perfect temp. The indoor bedrooms were beautifully done, as were the bathrooms. We have stayed in a lot of wine country properties over the last 10 years, but this is by far the best rental we have stayed in and our new favorite place. Oh, and you are SO close to Glen Ellen, a 7 min walk to cute restaurants, bakeries and stores. I would give the entire property, the generous host and our entire experience an 11 out of 10!
Our group was celebrating a 60th birthday and the house and yard provided lots of space for people to both spread out and be together. Kitchen and master bedroom are very spacious and nicely appointed except for the fact that there were no wine glasses, a necessity for most I would think! We loved the yard and pool area although seating was not particularly comfy nor was the living room seating comfortable. Overall a very nice house with lots of interesting books, walkable to town and a gorgeous setting!

Dear Sheri,
We're very happy you liked so much of the house and the outdoors. It really is "gorgeous" there. But we're sorry that you missed the many wine glasses in the house; they are the stemless kind, but hard not to miss, I thought. Noone in 12 years has mentioned uncomfortable furniture. It is mostly RH-designed, which is very popular. All that said, we are constantly updating things and hope you'll come again for another visit.
Our rental in Glen Ellen, CA was the perfect home for our wine country trip to Sonoma and Napa. The house is stunning. Plenty of room for three couples to spread out. The owner was able to push the 2 twin beds together in one of the rooms so we all had king sized beds. There was plenty of seating, both inside and out for all of us to have nice dinners and drinks. The grounds were spectacular with apple and pear trees and the pool was warm and perfect for relaxing. The house is close enough to Glen Ellen that we could walk to restaurants and the market but it was secluded enough to make us feel like we were the only people in the area. We had high expectations for the house and it exceeded them. I highly recommend this home if you are spending time in Sonoma or Napa.
We just returned from 10 blissful days at this beautiful property in Glen Ellen. It's just a short drive (walk) from the charming downtown area of Glen Ellen, which has a well-stocked supermarket, fabulous restaurants, a French bakery and gourmet breakfast spot. It's conveniently located to several wineries and all the restaurants in downtown Sonoma. The house itself is perfection - a great layout for a family with children, teens, grandparents...everything on one floor, but spread out so everyone has their own space and bathroom. Two communal areas for hanging out and socializing make it a excellent space for family gatherings. The ping pong table was a HUGE hit with our teens. The pool area is tranquil and relaxing, ideal for enjoying a cup of coffee in the early morning and a glass of sparkling wine at the close of the day. We had a great experience with the property manager. This home is well maintained. It had all the right touches to make it feel homey, but luxurious. Gorgeous wine country views from each and every window was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back!
This secluded Glen Ellen home is exactly as described and photographed. The home has all modern amenities except air conditioning. Several days were quite hot and only two of the three rooms had an “a/c” fan (the owner should consider adding a third “a/c” fan for the third bedroom). My son with asthma had a flare at the home as we needed to keep all the windows and doors open to allow the cooler night air to flow into the home. The pool is not heated, per se, although our kids didn’t mind as it was pretty hot during the day. The home is set atop a hillside so we saw lots of deer and wild turkeys roaming during our stay. The backyard itself is a sanctuary and offered plenty of relaxation. The town of Glen Ellen is sleepy but has a wonderful grocery store and restaurants that offer carry out if you decide to dine at home. Also the home is well stocked with cleaning and paper supplies so we didn’t need to bring. I would recommend that the home owner replace the towels as they are very dingy, stained and worn. Overall great property and would recommend more for cooler Sonoma months.

Dear Monica,
The Glen Ellen home is a sanctuary! And we appreciate your honest feedback. (You are the first guest to give us 4 stars instead of 5 in the 12 years we’ve been renting it.) We do think your suggestions are good though, so duly noted—-we’ve ordered a third air conditioner & new towels are on their way.
The pool is solar- heated & stays warm from April till October—-it was 84 yesterday. (Closing the pool cover certainly helps to maintain the heat.)
We do hope you enjoyed your visit and we really are grateful for the feedback!
