  • Great house!

"We rented this house with my parents to attend a local wedding. The house was great and as described. The owner Peggy was very responsive and awesome to work with. Absolutely no problems, the house was very clean. It was a short and easy walk to the beach. My only regret we didn't get to stay longer!"

  • Perfect Coastal Vacation Retreat

"We met our son's family here to celebrate Thanksgiving and it could not have been more perfect! We loved the house!! The pictures and video don't really do it justice - the home and property is beautiful (and spotless), awesome location and wonderful amenities. Bill and Marlene are very gracious hosts and so easy to work with. They generously offered use of their kayaks, bikes, boogie boards, and wet suits not to mention the fabulous upper deck with fire pit! What a view! The roomy backyard and hot tub offered great ways to relax. We loved taking the short walk to the beach as well as traveling to Cambria and San Luis Obipso - short drives along the beautiful coast. We'll definitely return to this gem along the coast!"

  • Summer Birthday Celebration

"Morro Bay holds a special place in my family's history. This is the place that captured my parents' hearts in 1950 with a vow that CA would one day be our home, and it did. I wanted to find a place there to celebrate my dad's 95th birthday that would be roomy enough for 6-10 ppl and on the beach. We found it! We loved being on the beach even tho' we had to walk a short distance to get there (only 5 min). The houses across the street have the beach front property, but this place has easy access and the beach is wide and long...perfect for leisurely walks. The house photos accurately represent the property. The kitchen is great and invites dinner at the house. The patio in back was a very pleasant place to eat except the barbecue badly needed attention. The house was cozy and well maintained, and the neighborhood was very peaceful. Morro Bay is a great little town with some fun things to do nearby like Hearst's Castle up the coast as well as great little beach town haunts in MB. We took the family on the Chablis Cruise Champagne Brunch cruise in the bay. It was outstanding! Food was delicious and generous (as was the champagne!) and the service was great. We highly recommend it especially if there are seniors in your party. We had an amazing time and highly recommend this property for a great stay!"

Morro Bay Travel Tips

Morro Bay Lodging for a Location on the Spectacular Central Coast of California

Morrow Bay, a waterfront town, is in the central coastal region of California. This famous part of California is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Morro Bay vacation houses are ideal bases to truly get the best of this spectacular region. For independent travelers, a Morro Bay lodging choice is a great opportunity to live like a resident and take advantage of all that this area has to offer. With a wide variety of Morro Bay rentals on offer, there is something for any size of party.

Morro Bay Lodging near the Nine Sisters

Arriving at the waterfront in the town, visitors from Morro Bay rentals will notice its most striking feature, a 176-foot high volcanic plug called Morrow Rock. The rock, standing at the entrance of the harbor, has no public access as it is home to the endangered peregrine falcon. It is one of a series of similar plugs along the coastline, known as the Nine Sisters, close to Morro Bay vacation houses. Choose a Morro Bay lodging option to be delighted by the scenery and the lack of traffic!

Morro Bay Rentals for Fishing, Sailing, Hiking and More

Morro Bay State Park, with its lagoon and natural habitat, is a haven for fishing, sailing, and hiking. Choose a Morro Bay lodging option near the golf course or the colorful marina. The Natural History Museum here has activities such as nature walks, puppet shows and guided tours. It’s an educational and fun experience for those in Morro Bay rentals. Ideal Morro Bay vacation houses for bird-watchers are close to the saltwater marsh that is home to an amazing variety of birdlife.

Morro Bay Vacation Houses near the Black Hills

For hikers, Morro Bay vacation houses are ideal for moderate walking in the Black Hills. Visitors with children in a Morro Bay lodging choice will want to head to the Elfin Forest National Area. This 1.5-mile boardwalk winds through the pygmy oak woods and will delight children. The adults might enjoy a tour of one of California’s most famous exports-–its wine. With a variety of vineyards offering tours, visitors staying at Morro Bay rentals won’t be disappointed.
