  • Comfortable and cozy holiday vacation

"Great location -- my family and I really enjoyed the short walk to the beach. We also loved to relax in front of the cozy fireplace in the family room. The home was clean and comfortable. And thanks for the bottle of champagne -- it was terrific!"

  • Great Place, Great Owners, Great Time!

"My family chose Morro Bay as a good 1/2 way point for members from SoCal and NorCal to converge for a belated Christmas celebration and we were lucky enough to be able to stay at Gull Cottage for a few days. What a wonderful home, lots of personal touches, comfy beds, peaceful atmosphere, wonderful back yard/patio area, especially loved the life sized sea otter! Grant and Jessica are wonderful hosts, very responsive and fair. I sure hope we get another chance to stay at Gull Cottage!"

  • Fabulous home on quiet estuary

"We just came back from a three night stay in this beautiful home. I wish we could have stayed much longer. The home itself is very roomy, immaculate, and beautifully decorated. It had everything we could have wished for including binoculars to watch the wildlife. That brings me to the views - WOW! The house is on the estuary, so don't expect rolling waves or a sandy swimming beach. What you get instead, are constantly changing views and lots of wildlife. Besides innumerable birds, we watched an otter swim by and a group of seals nap on a sandbar until the tide moved them along. Every evening, we stood on the deck and picked out constellations. The entire back of the house has large windows so you have great views from most rooms. The furnishings are very high end. We used the fireplace in the living room every evening. There's even one in the master bedroom! The house was extremely quiet and private. It is in a nice neighborhood which we enjoyed exploring on foot. We were a group of three adults celebrating a birthday. We spent one day at the Hearst Castle and then stopped at Piedras Blancas to see the elephant seals. Another day we toured Paso Robles vineyards. We drove through Montana de Oro State Park and were very sorry we didn't have another whole day to spend there. We would highly recommend all of these activities besides trips to Morro Bay and Cambria. This house is conveniently located for all of these and so many more activities. We hope to return again, but next time will stay longer!"
