"We had the privilege to stay here three days. The place was roomy, well maintained, and clean. We had a blast every evening in the hot tub after long days of beach combing, and hiking. It was very quiet and secluded even though there are other buildings on the property. Just hope we didn't disturb the whole neighborhood, as we games every night at the huge dining room table. The only flaw to the whole thing is the stairs. The main living quarters are upstairs, with the front door and 2 bedrooms downstairs, definitely got a work-out running up and down. Wouldn't recommend for the elderly. Next vacation to Fort Bragg, we will definitely check in again!"

  • Lovely place

"Had a fantastic weekend here with friends. There's a nice charcoal grill and the hot tub, while compact, was lovely to have. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the things you would need to cook an elaborate meal and the cabin is quite cozy. The pullout couch isn't the most luxurious, but it's doable for a couple of nights. Gualala is beautiful and you're a short drive from some great scenery and ocean views."

  • Fantastic rental

"Highly recommend. The rental was clean, beautiful and full of light . It has a large and fully equipped kitchen (large fridge, full stove, microwave and dishwasher) a comfortable bed, large closet and full bath. It would be very comfortable for an extended stay. Right in the middle of Old Town, it's across the street from 2 bookstores on one side and the bay on the other. The battery blew on the smoke alarm on the first day and the owner Joe was there to repair within 15 minutes. It's a perfect jumping off point for the Redwood forest on both sides of Eureka."

"We spent five very wonderful days here . Very comfortable , clean and well taken care of.We were fishing , so the dock and patio were very important . Very happy about what is here. Can keep three boats tied up quite nicely. There was six of us but I think 10 would be no problem . We will be back !"

Albion Travel Tips

Luxurious Albion Vacation Rentals

All of the Albion vacation rentals are nestled between the towns of Elk and Mendocina, California in the county of Mendocino. Albion is a tiny town offering an overwhelming amount of culture and history dating back to 1853, when it was founded. Any North California Coast travel should be rerouted through Albion if only because of its pristine coast lines and small community atmosphere. Almost all of the Albion lodging has a view of the Pacific Ocean and as if to add to the wonder of the area, Albion has the last remaining wooden bridge along the Coast Highway.

Find History with Albion's Museums

An excellent first stop, for those seeking the history of the area, would be the Kelley House Museum in Mendocino. This museum offers visitors a unique view of the lumber and shipping industries of which the area was founded. It is a popular stop for everyone exploring the North California Coast. Next, for a more oriental view of the Albion area, visit The Temple of Kwan Tai Museum. Here, people are given a view of the area in the mid 1800s as it was seen by its first Chinese settlers. This rare piece of American Chinese history was fully restored in 2001 and is open to the public from May to October.

Dining Luxury Only Found in Albion

While enjoying the excellent Albion lodging, be sure to indulge your sweet tooth at the Mendocino Cookie Company. Giving patrons an organically tasty experience that is also healthy, this cookie company has a relaxed cafe atmosphere. The North California coast nights can be spent tasting local brews at the Anderson Valley Brewing Company. This award winning brewery has been made famous for smooth drafts and a unique flavor. All of these exciting adventures, and many more, are all within a few miles of any of the Albion vacation rentals.
