  • Beauty and Charm

"What an amazing vacation home surrounded by the beauty of nature at its best. With a babbling brook in the back yard and redwood trees rising high in the blue sky, this house has all the charm of any victorian but with all the modern amenities. Our family reunion was a huge success. Hiking the nearby redwood parks or taking a short drive to the magnificent coast give many outdoor opportunities. Our favorite memories are of simply relaxing at this house enjoying all it has to offer. We definitely will return."

  • The Dreamery is My Circle

"As Fall leaves turn to Winter slumber, we return to Dreamery’s wonder. The seasons change and transform, and our sacred oneness is reborn. The ancient redwoods all around us, teaching patience, wisdom, and groundedness. We watched the sun from rise to set, then the star and moon cover the earth with a blanket of night. I am centered, reconnected, and whole. I want for nothing."

  • The Ultimate Escape!

"We have stayed at Sanctuaire on numerous occasions and each time has been better than the last. What keeps us returning to this remarkable property is the enduring peacefulness of the location combined with the unspoiled beauty of the setting in the coastal hills between the Russian River and the Pacific Ocean. The home is spacious for up to 5 people with 3 separate bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped; we dined often on the deck enjoying the spectacular views around the property. The salt-water pool is a refreshing place to spend an afternoon after touring the local wineries or cycling through the scenic countryside. Note: this area is deservedly a mecca for cyclists as many of the roads have very little traffic and wind through some of the most beautiful coastal countryside that California has to offer. And there is usually a winery with an open tasting room around every second corner... The owner has been a pleasure to deal with. Although she lives next to the property, she completely respects our privacy and there is a very effective visual barrier between her residence and Sanctuaire. This is a unique property – you are just a 30-minute drive to the many Russian River attractions, 45 minutes to some outstanding wineries on Westside Road and about an hour to dining and shopping in beautiful Santa Rosa. And when you return from your day’s adventures to Sanctuaire, it's like returning to your own private estate. We have already booked our next stay – we can’t wait to return!"

  • THIS IS Serenity at it's best

"We had the pleasure of staying here over Thanksgiving Holiday. Listened to rainfall, under the Redwoods, with creek a stone's throw away! It was delightfully peaceful. This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Elim Grove cottages - and think there isn't a better place on earth to stay and re-energize. Note: the Wedgewood oven doesn't work (stove does). There is a is a counter-top oven that works well. Just glad we weren't planning on roasting a 25 lb turkey!"
