"Only a few minutes from downtown Healdsburg, we find this one-bedroom, one-bath, 1920's mountain cabin that is perched about 100 feet above the Russian River. As we open the wooden gate at the entrance to this very private property, we are greeted by a beautiful oak tree with outstretched arms. To the right there is a primitive outdoor stove, reminiscent of a bygone time, adjacent to a modern 4-person hot tub. A gravel path leads us past a large stainless steel grill to the left and on to the cabin. A wonderfully creaky screen door welcomes us into the cabin and we find a cozy living room with knotty pine walls and an exposed beam ceiling. A comfy couch and chairs, with luxuriously soft throw blankets, surround a stone fireplace with a gas log insert. Wi-Fi is provided as are Pandora and Netflix on the 30" flat panel television above the mantle. The fire is lit and the cabin is warm and inviting. On the back wall there are the shelves with books, magazines and information on the surrounding area. A floor to ceiling 9-panal window on the left wall provides views to the lush greenery outside. Through the glass French doors on the back wall, we find a screened in porch with two Adirondack chairs and a dining table and chairs that look out to a sloping back yard, an outdoor fire pit, the Russian River, hundreds and hundreds of acres of the Seghesio vineyards and nothing else but rolling hills and the mountains beyond. After taking in the magnificent views, we proceed into the quaint but well appointed kitchen and find a sink, oven/stove, refrigerator, coffee maker and corkscrew. Of course, we only really need the corkscrew as we have restaurants already selected for every meal. A hallway leads us back to a bathroom with slate shower and the bedroom with a raised Queen size bed that looks so comfortable. Last but not least, the proprietor is first class, very accommodating and available if you need her. We highly recommend this beautiful property. Enjoy!!"
