"We went off season to attempt some fall wine tasting while biking through wine country, and everything worked out perfectly. The home has an open kitchen and living area that has plenty of room for 6 adults. HWY 128 is close by and it was an enjoyable bike ride to Jim Town and all of the wineries in between. The 2 large outside decks that are nestled in the trees were great places to have dinner and enjoy wine with friends. Looking forward to another trip back."

Close to Everything, Lots to Do and Yet Away from the Hustle and Bustle
"It isn't often that everything a traveler is looking for comes together in one location. Well, Main Street vacation rental has it all. From the wonderful and fulfilling Day Spa in the same location for pampering and relaxation to its location in the bucolic community in the wine country. This wonderful location is close to some of the most spectacular wineries in the Alexander Valley, however you can retreat to the quietness of its location. The home is immaculate, well stocked with everything one needs and walking distance to the theater (both movie and live plays) as well as some fun restaurants and a place to resupply your food stuffs. We WILL stay there again!!!"

"What an amazing time! 13 of us stayed for 5 days at these lovely 2 homes separated by a Koi pond. 4 bedrooms and a small kitchen in one home and 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen in the other could not have been more perfect for everyone including the 6 month old and 6 year old we had with us. The grounds are exquisitely maintained. The houses are so clean; the linens on the beds are crisp and fresh. A utility room off the kitchen has 2 refrigerators with bags of ice in the freezers. The owners Viola and Jim have thought of everything that one could possibly need for an enjoyable stay, and are a phone call away if your group needs anything. Large fluffy towels, thick pool towels, robes, soaps and the kitchen is stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the many outside areas to sit and sip wine while cooking on the gas or charcoal grill provided. We would highly recommend this lovely rental and look forward to returning to this Dry Creek area as there is so much to do that we need to make a trip back. Other reviews are right- the pictures do not do this place justice. It is superbly taken care of and has that “wow” moment when we rounded the corner to check in. We were simply in awe of the wonderful home(s) and gardens.
Restaurant we enjoyed-Willi’s Seafood and Raw Bar (ate there twice!) and the Oakville Grocery for fresh sliced meats and cheeses. Sonoma Canopy Tours-Zip lining provided a great redwood experience and although our hot air ballooning was canceled due to high winds Up and Away Ballooning was a pleasure to deal with."

"We rented this for relaxing wine getaway and were not disappointed. Very cozy little house, perfect for a couples getaway. Very nice amenities and a very cozy feeling house along the Russian River, very quite. Also, Only a 10 minute drive to downtown Headslburg."
