  • Great for families and an amazing home

"We had family in from out of town for our kids' birthday so we headed north for a fun weekend. The house is beautiful and has everything you would ever need. I can't think of anything this house didn't have, from a well-equipped kitchen to both indoor/outdoor games and toys. The house is spacious and provides everyone privacy and if you have kids, the common areas are far enough away from the bedrooms where noise would never be an issue. The views from the deck and pool/hot tub are incredible. Great location for a quiet, relaxing weekend, but close enough to Healdsburg for shopping and dinner and world class wineries are close by. Laurie was great to work with - responsive, helpful, and makes sure you're set up for a great time. We would definitely come back and hope to again soon!"

"Words cannot describe how fabulous this house is!! It is a great place for a group of friends or a group of couples. The beds and sheets were more comfortable than a hotel, there is a great living space, and a coi pond! The view is fantastic, even better from the hot tub, which was absolutely lovely, or pool, which i can imagine is great in the summer. One thing that isn't mentioned in the description is how well stocked and equipped the house is - making it perfect for a short stay. The owners have two refrigerators, platters, spices, salt & peppers, paper towels, new york times on the weekend, and even robes for each guest (!!!), making it very convenient and minimizing the amount you have to spend on things you always overbuy when staying at a house for the weekend. Viola and Jim meet you to check in and walk you through all the nuances of the house, show you where everything is, and make you feel completely at home. They were very kind and helpful, sending a welcome packet when we first put our deposit down. The location is great, 20 minutes from downtown Healdsberg and close to the great Dry Creek General Store (you have to go for a sandwich). We did a cooking class at Relish downtown, which run by Donna; it was a great way to sample the local cuisine and wines, especially for a large group. Honestly, we had such a great time; counting down the minutes to rent this house again!"

  • Paradise

"What an amazing house! We have rented vacation homes for years and nothing compares to this lovely place. The rooms are many and large , comfortable and homey. There are so many places in the house and outside where people can gather together or have a retreat. If you chose not to wine taste or explore you can stay at the house and swim or relax in the hot tub. You can sit on the front porch and read a book or take a will not go wrong in renting this wonderful home."

  • Perfect retreat for a family gathering!

"We rented Harvest House for Thanksgiving 2014. It was a group of family and friends (9 adults and 3 toddlers). The property is absolutely perfect for a large group. The main house is a warm, cozy place to gather as a large group but it was nice to have separate locations to 'get away' if necessary. The entire property is well maintained and well decorated. We enjoyed walking the property with the toddlers trying to identify the trees and plants. We also enjoyed the location of Harvest House and how close it is to many wineries. The kitchen was well stocked (we cooked many meals including Thanksgiving dinner there). The weather was perfect on Thanksgiving Day and we ate under the pergola! This was a real treat since most of us are from the Northeast. The owners were extremely easy to work with and very flexible. The maintenance man responded quickly when we had a problem that needed his attention. We rent often through VRBO and other similar setups and this was one of our favorite houses. We highly recommend this property and can't wait to visit again."
