"The perfect weekend getaway. Way better then a hotel or camper. Enough room for multiple families. Great place to prepare your own meals. Close enough to town, and Yellowstone, but also far enough away. Definitely worth going back. We all had a great time."

Ideal Location for the Yellowstone Half-Marathon with all the comforts of home!
"Someone in our group of friends started the crazy notion of running the Yellowstone Half Marathon on June 13th and before you could say "bear spray" 7 of us had signed up. Thus began the hunt for a place to stay and we could not have selected a better located or more comfortable accommodation than the Blue Cloud House.
Located mere steps from the start of the race the house provided all the comforts of home at a fraction of the cost of a hotel. A fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, freshly made beds, a washer/dryer and two full bathrooms provided the perfect base for us to explore amazing Yellowstone Park, enjoy walking to the town of West Yellowstone and then WALKING to the start of the race. No port-o-potties for this group!
Other than a very dirty grill which could use replacing, one broken hairdryer and incorrect directions for the Direct-TV which a quick phone call corrected - everything else in the house worked flawlessly and we could not have been more pleased with our choice.
If you ever decided to attempt the Yellowstone Half-Marathon - Blue Cloud House is the place for you. If you want a lovely and comfortable home base from which to explore all Yellowstone has to offer - Blue Cloud House is for you. If you just want to get away - Blue Cloud house is for you. Walk to town, ample parking, quiet end-of-the-road location near trails and woods - this house offers a perfect Montana escape.
Thanks for sharing your lovely property with us - and yes, we all completed the race - one of us even placed in his age group - thanks Blue Cloud House!

Great location, super clean, and good value for a family of 6 or more.
"Great little log cabin 10min walk from downtown West Yellowstone, across the street from one of the best breakfast places in town.
We only spent a night at the cabin but have no issues with it. Super clean (my son said it was cleaner than our own house), and Justin was very responsive and prompt when we needed things, such as towels and linen. My whole family loved staying there.
Yeah there's no view, but why do you need one when Yellowstone is 5min drive away? People don't stay at West Yellowstone for the view. They stay there in order to go to Yellowstone.
For a family of 6, this is a much better alternative than paying for 2 rooms at the local Best Western for $200/night per room."

"VRBO property always has some issues (broken toilet, marks on the wall or floor, etc.) but not this one, it was perfect. We could not believe it, but it was actually better than advertised. The owner built it in 08 with his own blood sweat and tears (he has a picture book of his construction in the living room). It is beautiful, at a great location, and again, the best VRBO owner I have ever worked with, Mr. Stewart is the best. His pride in what he calls a Fishing Shack shows in that every detail has been taken care of, it really is first class...PERFECT."
