"We were looking for a place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and Sea Spray Cottage appealed to us because it's right on the water. The enclosed sun deck runs the entire water side of the cottage, which is a great place to just "hang out." We rented kayaks, explored the shore coves and found the seals as curious of us, as we were of them. Another nice thing about the cottage, is biking on the quiet roads and meeting all the friendly people. We took a day trip to San Juan island, which is free for walk-ons and bikes. We took the transit van to Lime Kiln park and were excited to see a parade of orcas. Our most favorite part was falling asleep and waking to the waves. The only problem was we only stayed 4 nights and wished we had more time."

"This is such a wonderful location. Sunrise is a well appointed home with plenty of space for our family of 6 + Grandma and Grandpa to have space enough to stretch out and enjoy an escape from the heat and busyness of Phoenix. The kids had a great time hunting for starfish and sea shells. The kids liked swimming and going on adventures while the rest of us enjoyed playing games and relaxing. FYI, the local store does ONLY have the bare minimum, so I would suggest "over buy" on the main land. Other than that, A+++
Side note, Louise, was so kind as to ship us a brown paper bag that my 6 year old son had written his name on and collected change and seashells... Most people would just have tossed it, but it was so nice for my son to open his package and see that his "treasures" were not lost after all. I can't tell you what that means to us... It's the little things :)"

"What a beautiful place to celebrate my 57th birthday. We sold our house on Orcas about 17 years ago, so I knew that this house was in a perfect location: close to Eastsound (the town), close to the ferry, close to the golf course, and close to West Sound. The house is as pictured, but lives even better; quality construction and smart design. The layout of the house is wonderful for two couples. They had their end of the house, with a bath and bedroom. We had our end of the house (closes off with a big sliding door) with large bedroom, separate master closet, laundry, and bathroom. The master bath has two sinks and a separate toilet/shower area.
The kitchen and main living area are connected. The view out the bank of sliding doors that run the length of the living room is spectacular. You can see Eastsound across the bay. The house stayed cool as it faces northeast and it wasn't a terribly hot week; and we opened many windows and the sliding doors to let the fresh air in.
The patio is private and quiet. You can hear the water below. The kitchen is set up for cooks; but we ate dinner out while we were on island. West Sound Cafe provided a beautiful setting and wonderful food. The same for Inn at Ship Bay. Rose's was perfect for lunch. A run to Island Market after unpacking allowed us to stock up on things we couldn't bring in the car.
There is WiFi (slow compared to off island, but worked well) and there was a TV in the living room and 2nd bedroom. The set of Mexican Train dominos in the game drawer led to a fun game night.
Our friends have already recommended Casa Verde to their friends. I just hope that they don't rent the house in mid-July, as we would like to return again. Thank you to the owner for sharing this wonderful house."
