This Colorado Springs home is clean, well appointed - ideal for larger multi-generational families, groups of friends, family gatherings, or smaller families that need to spread out. Rooms with rooms in the rooms. Spread out in the house, with bedrooms that have their own private bathrooms. Extra beds that expand to meet capacity. Thoughtful extras. You will love this home.
The house is located in the Ivywild, a friendly and historic neighborhood to Colorado Springs along the banks of Cheyenne Creek and under Pikes Peak! The tree lined neighborhood is home to numerous restaurants, breweries and distilleries. For leisure there is hiking in Cheyenne Canyon, take the golf clubs for a round at the Broadmoor, bring the children to the live performances at the Millibo theater, and endulge in the nightlife found at our two breweries and two distilleries (and walk home safely). There is easy and quick access to the major highways and Interstate 25. The heart of our neighborhood is the Ivywild School, which has a delicatessen, brewery, pub, bakery, coffee shop, gift shop.
About the house:
The house is well thought out and works well as a modern multi-generational home, capable of hosting a large groups for an extended period of time. Let the kids play with the games upstairs, while the toddler takes a nap in the crib.
Each bedroom has a full private bathroom, and some of the bedrooms are like a mini suite all to themselves, with extra bunk and loft beds! Perfect if you need to split up the house between multiple parties or extended families, because of the unique and clever floor plan. Groups are welcome to arrive and depart at different times.
We have been improving the house season after season – and it shows. This house comes with:
--> A summerland 3d mini stroller, a lightweight convenience stroller.
--> Evenflo Portable Babysuite Deluxe Playard.
--> A set of golf clubs to hit the links with.
The items you’ll find in the house will help you with your stay, like a luggage scale and a set of grocery club cards, an entertainment book, and snacks and water. Teens will chillax upstairs in the loft with the vintage super Nintendo, and the babies can do the baby thing in a crib in the master bedroom.
In addition to our local television channels, we offer a Netflix and HULU subscription on our internet enabled ROKU TVs. This allows streaming of 50 cable tv channels- including several sports channels. Watch college football on the many ESPN, BTN, CBS Sports, SEC, Golf, and local channels, as well as several other cable tv channels.

1. The master bedroom has a comfortable large king bed, fitted with white linen and feather pillows. Walk into the bathroom and you'll find his and her sinks, a walk in shower and a separate jetted tub, a private toilet. The master closet does double duty for those with an infant, with lights that dim to help the baby rest in the full size crib. Ceiling fan and remote control lighting.
2. The second bedroom, across the hall from the master bedroom, has a comfortable queen size bed, a walk in closet, and access to a private tub and shower in the bathroom. This bedroom is shown with the blue and white comforter. This bathroom has been upgraded with a better mirror and lighting.
3. The third bedroom on the main floor is unique, and it is ideal to be used by a separate family of four, in that it has an anteroom, a private area that has a full size loft bed (sleeps 2), underneath is a futon sofa that can be used for additional sleeping. Behind this room is the real bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, and a private bath with walk in shower, and a closet for storage as well.
You will also find on the main floor the living room (with at large flat screen roku tv, sound system, sofas and table, armoir with extra linens . The kitchen and laundry room (washer (agitator style) and dryer) is also on this floor.
The back door leads to a patio area with a table and seating, umbrella style shade with led lighting, and gas grill. The front door leads to a smaller porch with views of the mountain.
4. Climb the stairs into the upstairs loft and bedroom. The bedroom features a queen bed and a set of bunk beds, ceiling fan, perfect for a family of four. In the open loft area adjacent to the bedroom is a pull out trundle bed, perfect for the kids. In the open loft area you'll also find a sofa (converts to a bed), entertainment center (that has a roku tv, super Nintendo and other game systems, books, and family board games).
Because of the design, the upstairs bedroom and the upstairs loft and bedroom function nearly like a suite unto themselves. This can be ideal for reunions, business groups, or just for families who like to spread out.
In fact, the house has hosted business owners and startups, work groups, contractors, Olympic athletes, tour groups and conventioneers. We are close to the Broadmoor for conventions, near Ft Carson for assignments, a $10 Uber ride from the Pinery, and nearby the training facilities for athletes.
Where is the house located? Colorado Springs is quite the showcase of sprawl especially if you head east, but lucky us, this house is located in a great area on the west side of the springs, close to the mountains. We are just slightly south west of downtown Colorado Springs proper, in one of the original boroughs of the town, known as Ivywild. We are known for being vibrant and exiting: with several options for dining, and walking distance to two great breweries and two distilleries. Nearby you will find a live theater (the Millibo), and a quick 5 minute drive to downtown center where you'll find the best of the springs museums, art galleries, and city life.
We are very close to the Broadmoor, driving less than 4 minutes(two stop lights) you are on their property, ready for that business convention (space symposium) or sporting event (PGA Golf). In fact, some groups have stayed at the Broadmoor, and the extended family has stayed at this house because of the closeness.
The house is an easy 20 minute drive to the Air Force Academy (AFA).
We have some of the best access to the major travel roadways, Interstate 25 (connects to Denver, airports, Garden of the Gods) intersects with Highway 24 (gets you to Pikes Peak), and also hits Highway 115 (takes you south to Royal George, Broadmoor), and Tejon Street (goes right downtown). The Ivywild neighborhood sits right in this area, shielded by a hill which gives us privacy and keeps the noise away. In 3 minutes you can be on any of these roads en route to your destination. No other area has such easy access (in fact, other areas just have traffic congestion - if you are considering anywhere east, please reconsider).
The residence is perfect to spread out and relax, considering this would be your home away from home. There are 4 bedrooms with 4 and 1/2 private bathrooms (showers, tubs and combo's) and closets, a stocked open kitchen concept.
There are well thought out amenities all throughout the house. And if you need to increase the head count, we have pull out beds and convertible sofas that accommodate your needs.
This listing is for the entire house. This is not an apartment, and it is not a shared or subdivided house, no one on the other side of the wall. You get the whole thing. With a patio and a porch, a bbq grill, it's all yours.
The house has 1 King bed, 3 Queen beds, a twin bunk bed, a loft bed that is full size. Because of this, it fits 11 people pretty easy. We also have a sleeper couch, a futon bed, and a day bed that turns into two full size, and you can even break out the cots and cam-o-bed which can bring up the count to, perhaps 17 persons or more. Because of this, for groups of more than 11 persons, I do a charge of $5 per extra person per night, which is quite minimal, but you should be aware of that pricing.
=====THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS HOUSE=====
One of the most important features of the house, but one not often advertised is the house has a tank-less INFINITE HOT WATER SYSTEM. You are simply not going to run out of hot water when showering. Do other properties have this? We do, and taking a hot shower with out the worry of running out is so worth it.
The second best thing is we have Air Conditioning! Surprisingly, not many houses in Colorado offer this amenity, but it is included here. A hot day can just ruin a stay, so enjoy the cool air!
This house is very appropriate for your family. It's built in 2004 with modern construction. The loft is stuffed with games for the kids: the upstairs TV has a nintendo wii, a roku, the downstairs has roku as well on the 55 inch tv. Some of the lights have been fitted with remote controls, and phillips premier lighting.
WIFI with 40 mbps speeds.
There's thoughtfully placed USB charging stations. Clean LED lighting. Wooden flooring. Brand new carpeting in the bedrooms. Digital (ecobee) Air Conditioning and Heat. A gas fireplace. A patio with a gas grill. An outside heater to keep you warm. A large table with chairs to settle in and watch the sun slowly drop out of the sky. A well equipped kitchen with utensils and a large dining table. Pans to sizzle and glasses to fill. The lights dim. Fireplace is turned on in the living room. The sounds are muffled, quiet, because you sent the kids outside to play. A hot Jacuzzi style bath in the master bedroom. Serene and romantic. Clean white linens, and white towels. A porch looking over our quaint neighborhood street, with the mountains in the just 5 minutes away.
