You will begin to unwind and relax on the undulating drive upward towards 334 Explorer, the luxurious Chateau Lakeview, located in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. At first glimpse, it is nestled, tall and proud, among shady trees that overhang its many covered decks. Large, at over 3000 square feet, with sleeping accommodations for 16, it offers comfort at every level. No amenity has been overlooked.
We welcome wedding groups. We are geared up for families of the bride and groom as well as the bridal party.
As you enter the Chateau and step onto one of the four spacious decks, you will be thrilled by the breathtaking views of Lake Travis and the surrounding Texas Hill Country. Proceed up the stairs to the recently added Super Deck. Don’t forget your camera! The stunning views of the lake framed by stately oak trees in daylight, and the shimmer of a glorious Hill Country sunset reflecting off the lake at dusk, as well as the spectacular star gazing in the evening will provide cherished memories of your Hill Country weekend or vacation.
The luxurious master suite will lure you with its cozy fireplace, shower for two, and roomy soaker tub perfect for two. Recently remodeled in 2013 we are set up with great mirrors and lighting, loads of electrical outlets and a place to steam special clothing.
A separate sitting area in the master suite affords desirable privacy. On the same floor as the master, is the main living area with a large television, a sofa sleeper for two, separate wet bar/fridge, half-bath, dining room with vaulted ceiling, a breakfast room and spacious kitchen; the envy of any gourmand. The kitchen is designed for large groups and contains a double oven, cook top, two warming drawers and warming trays to keep dinner warm for the whole crowd. With four separate dining areas, there is lots of flexibility for serving and feeding your crowd. Don’t go buy the paper plates until you see the number of dishes and flatware the kitchen contains.
The upstairs decks will entice you with ceiling fan, speakers, and chic furniture for dining and lounging while you lazily watch violet and gold sunsets over the lake in the distance.
With three ice-makers in the house, you will never want for ice. Downstairs are three bedrooms. One, a mini-suite, serves as a second master with its own private bath. A Jack-and-Jill bath accommodates the other two bedrooms. Open to the spacious, shady backyard, lounge on the patio and watch your kids or pets play. A second large downstairs living area, with a sleeper sofa for two, boasts its own wet bar/fridge and second television. If staying connected is necessary, a desk here provides high-speed internet. A propane gas grill is located on the deck off of the formal dining room. Makes for easy access from the kitchen. There is a table and chairs there as well so folks can visit while the chef cooks. Don't forget to pick fresh herbs from the kitchen garden below in the back yard to make your meals extra yummy and pleasing to the eye.
Stored are two additional roll-away beds, and two 12 inch thick blow-up beds, just in case you need to sleep 16 guests total! A washer and dryer are conveniently placed in the upstairs master closet, and also at the back entry, where there is a spacious garage and large driveway for multiple cars. Pet lovers? Not to worry; the fieldstone floors are pet-friendly.
The fenced backyard, framed with a variety of fruit and shade trees, provides a wonderful home-away-from-home for the family dog. The covered patio in the back yard has luxury furniture for relaxing and a ceiling fan to keep you cool.
Our golden retriever Geraldine strongly recommends Chateau Lakeview for your pet. There are three separate areas for water and food for your favorite pet...no horses, please!
