Home has easy on/off freeway access, shopping centers, convenience stores, mall, restaurants less than .5 miles away. My home is 13 miles from downtown San Diego/Gaslamp district. 4.5 miles from San Diego State university . 4 miles to Lake Murray, 13 miles to Sea World and beaches. The home is large and is spacious with plenty of beds and sleeping room. There are two game rooms and plenty of entertainment along with 2 full kitchens and 4 full baths.
PLEASE NOTE CHECK IN TIMES ARE 3pm DAY OF ARRIVAL AND CHECK OUT TIME IS 10AM UNLESS GRANTED OTHERWISE AT TIME OF BOOKING.

HOUSE RULES

The house is two levels and very spacious, great for large families! There are two kitchens in the home one upstairs and one downstairs. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, dining room, game room (with a sofa), living room, and a large wood burning fireplace. (Please note the bedroom with 4 single beds one of those beds is a trundle bed, that is located under another single bed you have to pull out). We also have a full size washer and dryer available upstairs in the game room for guests to use. Downstairs you will find another kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a second game room, flat screen television, full size ping pong table and foos ball table!! The home sleeps 16 comfortably if you would like to have more than 16 guests stay we are perfectly okay with that and do not charge extra for more guests. We only ask that you leave the home clean and in an orderly fashion and do not move any furniture.

The drive way allows parking for 4 cars and there is parking up top in-front of the drive way for an additional 2 cars. The home is located on hillside

***Please note that if you have a large party and the La Mesa Police Department show up we will immediately ask you to vacate the property and no refunds will be provided. We would like to be respectful of our neighbors and not create a loud disruptive living environment. Due to several guests having the La Mesa Police Department come to the home we will have to strictly enforce this rule***

Interesting layout, lots of space

This home worked well for our group, but there are definitely some interesting rooms. We were pleased that there were a large number of plates, silverware, and large pots and pans, which is not always the case in rental homes, and we were able to have family style dinner each night. Neighborhood feels safe. Some noise from the highway but nothing intrusive. We enjoyed our time in this home, playing pool and ping pong, and having room to spread out and feel at home.

Great San Diego Family Home

When we arrived we had been greeted by a bottle of wine and glasses. Along with both a Checklist checking in and Checkout instructions. The home is very large, our family of 20 fit perfectly. In addition the home has pretty much everything a home would have. Clean comfy sofas, Beds are big and spacious rooms. The home came equipped with washer and dryer in the pool room. The bottom of the home had a foosball table and ping pong table. Yes the parking is a little steep but worked we fit a truck, car, jeep and small SUV just fine. Then right above you can park along the street just fine. We bbq the entire time, the host provided a new bag of charcoal for us to use. The Pantry had spices, tons of pots and pans, coffee makers, and a total of 5 garbage bins outside,. We appreciated Adrian reaching out to us during the week to see if we needed anything. In addition tons of towels and blankets. We washed all the towels before we left as we appreciated the use of the home. We will definitely stay here again, Thank you so much for the friendly and the use of the home. This is the first time we have rented out a home and will definitely do it again when we go to San Diego. Thank You for being a great host. Aguilar family.

Short drive to the beach

We rented this property for a family vacation for 10 people. The property had plenty of space & beds, cool stuff for the kids to do & just a half hour or less drive from the beach. Adrian the owner was very responsive & professional. Would definitely recommend this property for larger groups

Perfect fit for a large group. Easy access to everything.

Even though La Mesa seems like another city it only took minutes to get into San Diego proper. The house is right off the freeway and getting around was very easy. The house itself is so much larger than I expected. I was worried about everyone having a space to sleep but there are ample rooms and bathrooms for a large group. Loved having two kitchens. Would absolutely book here again. Had an amazing time.

was perfect for our family and friends. The pictures do not do it justice, it very spacious and there is lots of room. Currently there is not air conditioning but there are plans for it to be placed. Adrian and family was great to work with. I would recommend staying here.

Needs some attention

This was a very spacious VRBO that was suitable for our family get together. I was expecting this unit to be cleaner than it was – more like a hotel. Whenever something was dropped and rolled under furniture, there was plenty of dirt and objects other than ours. The piece of carpet under the stools in the main kitchen was pretty gross. Those that did not wear shoes had black feet, especially the children. There were little things that needed attention that would have made our stay better. Hopefully future tenants will benefit from some of the following examples: • The right sink in the lower level filled quickly when the water was turned on (with no plug enganged) and emptied very slowly when the faucet was turned off; • The digital clock didn’t work – possibly a battery issue • Night light at base of stairs was burned out or didn’t work; • The outlet next to the bed didn’t work – had to plug in our alarm across the room. • The only lamp in that room had a switch that didn’t operate; we used duct tape to be able to use it; • It would have been nice to have some sort of a towel rack in every bedroom to air dry used towels, The bathrooms did not have sufficient space for the towel of occupants of a five bedroom facility (the whole lower level had only space for two towels); • The bathtub plug in the whirl pool tub had to be put in and taken out manually, • Etc., etc., etc. The list goes on and on. • Nothing super major EXCEPT the threshold in the lower level kitchen is a law suit just waiting to happen. The wood on the threshold would give when stepping into the kitchen. Not only did we have to step up into the kitchen area, but there is a gap on the threshold when leaving the kitchen that catches the foot. It is very dangerous entering and leaving.

All the guests appreciated how large the space was,and the ample bedrooms. The kids enjoyed the game rooms. The driveway was a bit of a steep challenge. The house temperature was very comfortable,and there were plenty of towels, and our group enjoyed the stay.The kitchen was nice and big too, and we were only 10 mins. from a Sprouts store.

Great place to have a family reunion

This was a nice place. We had a family group of 12, six of whom were children. They had a lot of fun playing ping pong, foosball and pool. Beds were comfortable. Nice big screen TVs. We watched a couple of DVDs. Kitchen could use some improvement. Otherwise very good place.

Spacious house and generous owner

We stayed in this home for our home away from home for our daughter and new son in law's nearby wedding. It easily slept fourteen people. We stayed there on the hottest weekend on record for the area, so the lack of A/C was problematic. This would not be the usual experience for the San Diego area which is usually much cooler in the summer. However, this was made up for by the owner's gracious allowing of us to host a dessert at the home after the nearby outdoor wedding rehearsal. Other plusses were the two kitchens which allowed us to bake cupcakes for the wedding and store flowers for the wedding in the extra fridge. The downstairs queen master bedroom entrance goes through a bathroom, and another Queen bed in a downstairs nook has a toilet and sink in the room, so there was a relative lack of bathroom privacy. We shared the home with close family and friends so this worked. Thank you to Adrian!

Huge home! Fit everyone perfectly

Trying to find a home large enough for about 10 people is difficult, especially when you have a lot of couples who don't want to sleep on twin beds. This home offered three bedrooms with full size beds which was perfect. The home was large and allowed for us all to be around each other without feeling like we're suffocating each other. The game room is awesome and the games downstairs were fun. The only complaint with this home is the flow and structure of it. It's odd. The bedroom downstairs that I thought would be the master because it had the tub, was not. It was almost a converted room with a tub and toilet thrown into it and a sliding door for privacy. The kitchen downstairs is a lot better than the one upstairs, but the aesthetic is just off. Comfort wise, the beds were decent and the rooms were spacious and the living areas were great. The BBQ pit was perfect and there was enough room for everyone to be able to get together to eat. Location was great. Close enough to be able to have a quick drive to the city, but far enough to feel like you're really somewhere different. Aesthetic could be better if you're looking for style and good flow of rooms and space, but if you're not, then it was a fun place to be. Adrian was quick to respond to everything and available if any questions came up, which they didn't. I'll definitely be keeping this place in mind for any other excursions to San Diego.

Perfect for our needs !

We were 3 families coming from different parts of the US staying here for our kids move into SDSU. It was perfect for us. The 2 floors gave us lots of room to spread out. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The location was good, near lots of shopping for school and dorm supplies since we were not able to bring much with us and not too far from SDSU to transport everything. We enjoyed our stay, much nicer than staying in a hotel, not having to eat out all the time was nice. Thank you !
