There is a mudroom coming in from the garage for coats, shoes, beach towels and toys with sitting area and cabinetry.

The home has a foosball table and air hockey table as well as drawers full of Legos and Thomas the Train tracks for the kids. Cabinets hide board games and puzzles for all to enjoy. Books for adults and kids. There are two new Schwinn cruisers as well as three kayaks for your use. This home has it all!

Lots of outdoor space with covered and uncovered portions of deck with ceiling fan, adirondacks, table/chairs, grill and outdoor Bose speakers connected to a bluetooth Sony receiver. Outdoor shower. More adirondacks at waters edge. A 300 foot dock with a large sitting area at the end juts into the cove from the property. Water remains shallow that far out!

About David Ouyang

We have been vacationing in Michigan for years, but after our first visit to the Leelanau Peninsula, we knew we had found the place where we wanted to buy our vacation home. Our kids (13 and younger) may be the only people who love the area and our home more than we do.

David Ouyang purchased this cottage in 2013

Go for a morning run along quiet Lee Point Road. It wraps along the bay and then into apple and cherry orchards. Use our bikes to take the TART trail up to Suttons Bay (4 miles) or Traverse City (12 miles). Take our kayaks for a sunrise or sunset paddle or rent our stand-up paddle board - the calm cove is a perfect place to learn! Make a fire and s'mores on the beach. Play and wade in the sand and water all day long! Visit Black Star Farms which is only 1 mile up the road or drive to any of the numerous other vineyards on the Peninsula. Try something different and hit Tandem Ciders artisan hard ciders or Hop Lot microbrewery just outside of Suttons Bay. Shop or eat in any of the numerous nearby quaint small towns. Day trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Dune Climb. Don't forget to stop in Fishtown! Catch a fish at the narrows in Lake Leelanau or book a salmon charter out of Fishtown or Traverse City. Grab a drive-in movie with the kids. RELAX and read a book in our hammock.

Wonderful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Property was fantastic, just as we remembered it last year. We rented a pontoon boat for a couple days which was wonderful, the kids loved tubing and we just enjoyed being on the water as the weather was fantastic. Everything was great, couldn't of been any happier on our vacation week!

Wonderful house, great location, great ammenities

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family and it had everything! And the location couldn't have been better. We really enjoyed the crystal clear water and using the kayaks and SUP. And the house was fantastic and our 3 year old girls loved their room with the bunk beds. We would definitely plan on staying here again.

Great Place!

  • 5 of 5

Overall, fantastic vacation! House was as advertised, an amazing lakefront residence - couldn't of been happier with this choice. Plenty of room and the layout was wonderful as you are basically looking out at the lake just about anywhere in the house. We all enjoyed the lake, as we rented paddle boards and used the kayaks provided on a daily basis. The dock was fun for the kids to fish from. Weather was great our week, mostly warm with not much rain. Great location as it was easy drives to grocery store/food/local towns and attractions. Can't wait to come back next year!

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our group too was three generations, including two children and five adults. We spent 1 week at this wonderful home, which is right on the water in West Grand Traverse Bay. Beach is small, but still room for children to play. The dock, with seating area, extends far into the calm water which was great for swimming. Kayaks are provided by the owner, which we used daily. We did not choose to rent the stand up paddle board at an additional expense. The back deck, with bbq, was used daily. Only comment is that their should be a screened in area to sit at night. The use of the hot tub is not included, which would have been nice to use. Kitchen is well equipped. Very clean home. The owner was very responsive when we had questions during our stay. The children's bedroom has with trains and Lego's and there are also puzzles and different games in the house.
