16-55th Avenue has a total of five bedrooms, including one sun porch that doubles as a sleeping area. The beach house's 3,200 square feet comfortably accommodates up to 13 guests plus unlimited children under the age of three.
The close proximity to the beach will provide you and your family the luxury of accessing the beach with ease. The beach access path leading directly from the back yard allows you to quickly walk to the beach and to take breaks at your whim. After returning from the beach, you can rinse off in the outside showers located underneath the house.
The beach house's plentiful porch space offers an inviting environment to relax and absorb the natural beauty unique to Charleston, South Carolina. The beach house has a front porch, wrap-around porch, screened-in porch, and an upstairs sunning deck. You may be able to continuously hear the sounds of the ocean on the second-floor deck from the time you sunbathe during the daytime heat until the time you view the stars in the evening breeze.
The kitchen is fully furnished with cooking supplies to facilitate homemade meals. Two full-sized refrigerators offer plenty of storage for cold drinks and fresh food while vacationing. For more casual meals, the granite center island comfortably seats five on barstools and the kitchen table seats another six. The formal dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and seats an additional eight. Or, you can use both rooms to host large dinner parties while still spending quality time friends and family.
The large den with two-story cathedral ceilings is the focal point of the beach house. The surrounding windows fill the den with natural light and allow guests to view the outside scenery. A wet bar with wine glasses is conveniently located within the den. The den offers all of the modern entertainment amenities of home with a flat-screened TV, cable, and high-speed wireless internet.
Guests at 16-55th Avenue have access to the Wild Dunes Resort to visit delis and ice cream shops. Guests may also enjoy Wild Dunes bicycle rentals, tennis clinics, and golf course. The Mount Pleasant public swimming pools are a short drive away from the beach house.
The beach house is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival and upon your departure. The beach house is furnished with dish detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, an iron, a hair-dryer, and sunscreen. You can rest assured that you will be comfortable at 16-55th Avenue.
