While away the day in an Adirondack chair nestled between the mountains and the stream. The Lodge at Bear River, with massive stone fireplace, antique decor, spiral log staircase, can be rented for weddings and other events.
Lovers of the great outdoors will find plenty to enjoy within a short drive. The area is renowned for its fishing, boating, whitewater rafting and other water sports. The natural beauties of the Pisgah National Forest, Appalachian Trail and North Carolina Scenic Byway can be explored by foot, bicycle, car or horseback. For a relaxing interlude, soak in the natural mineral springs for which the quaint town of Hot Springs was named (just 5 miles from the house). And for a cosmopolitan change of pace, the city of Asheville is 45 minutes away.
